- Dual Mode: The Ihy Cannon can either fire a concussive blast, or a weaker sonic scream designed to incapacitate opponents.
- Modular use: The Ihy Cannon is a small weapon that can be connected to the rail attachment that can be found on most rifles, built into a suit of armour or a set of cybernetics.
- Variable modes: The Ihy Cannon has multiple different attack profiles, the standard profile, uses a tightly packed soundwave to attack with a powerful concussive force.
- Recoil: The concussion blast has an incredible recoil, making it very hard to keep the weapon pointing at its target.
- Range: While the concussion blast may be able to hit at range, the sonic scream only works against targets close to you, while it does affect multiple people, you have to put yourself in danger to get there.
Sounds, voice.
These were the very basics of communication, of the tools that allowed most species to grow and develop, to create and expand their civilisations which ultimately lead to their progress, reaching towards the stars. It is the very basis of our society, and so, of course, the crazy engineers at Locke and Key mechanics decided they wanted to weaponize it. Into the think tank it went, and out came the Ihy cannon.
As with all Locke and Key products they couldn’t just leave it with one form of attack, with one ability, instead, they decided to go with a variety. On the one hand, a compressed sound wave could be fired, creating vibrations which could strike a target with a powerful concussive force. Strong enough to send people flying, or knock them around inside a suit of armour.
This wasn’t enough for the engineers and they built a second sonic weapon into the device, a sonic stunner, designed to disorientate and incapacitate opponents. This secondary fire mode was particularly effective when facing Jedi or Sith, since its area of effect ability made it very hard for them to avoid, and impossible to block with a lightsaber.
