Rishi had proven ideal for what the young witch required. The planet was relatively new to the Confederacy, and as such there was not so much security as some of the more established or populated locations in the CIS’ sector of the galaxy, which would make what she needed to accomplish all the easier, she hoped. The only downside so far as she could figure was that the planet seemed to be in the throes of summer, which meant that she’d need to wrap herself in a cloak, despite the stifling heat and humidity.
Though, even with the discomfort brought on by the necessity of bundling up, Jenmae couldn’t help but feel pleased as she strode down the nearly deserted streets of the small town she’d chosen as her base of operations. She hadn’t bothered to learn the name of it, instead using the information she’d gathered on the holonet to determine which township would be both remote as well as nearly abandoned. From what she understood, the little town had been the home to a mine at one time, but when flooding inhibited their ability to work safely, the mine had closed - and with the business gone, and the credits dried up, many people left. Of course, this had been decades ago, and the only people who remained seemed to be those that were comfortable living the modest lives that came with the bust that had followed the boom.
There were a few small shops, most nestled along the southern edge of the town, closest to the river - which was the only mode of transport in or out of the little village that Jenmae had been able to suss out. Of course, they could use transport ships - but no one in the little town seemed to have the income required to enjoy the luxury that a ship like that could afford them, instead preferring to use what minute wealth they had to sustain their families and keep their homes in a state of moderate comfort. One such home also housed a small supplies shop - and that’s where the Dathomiri was headed now, an unimpressed looking wolf tagging along behind her.
[member="Seren"] had been tagging along with her for nearly a month at this point - like a scouring shadow that moved always a step or so behind the witch in all she chose to do. He'd actually been pivotal in her choice to come to Rishi. When she'd mused aloud about somewhere she could locate the quarry she was about to pursue, he'd quickly offered up Rishi as a possible location for their prey. She'd done a bit of research and had been pleasantly surprised with the outcome - it seemed the young wolf was full of useful little tidbits. As the two strode down the center of the street, Jenmae's eyes drifted upwards from the darkened pit that her hood provided her - squinting at the sky. It was nearly the time when the sun would dictate the move from morning to afternoon, and the heat would be all the worse. With a soft scoff, she lowered her gaze once more and hurried her pace, please as she heard the footfalls behind her speed up as well. They'd need to purchase what they'd come for a move out quickly if they had any hope of being clear of the jungle by nightfall.
