Bespin. There was competition to the Afterburner Cantina on Bespin. Remy had been "checking her out" for some time now, but today he was going to make his move. The older rugged spacer walked into the bar with his usual Corellian swagger. He wore a brown leather bomber jacket over a white flight shirt, and a pair of blue Corellian blood stripe pants on his lower half. Two DL-44 blasters were on his hip, and there was a Sweet Theed cigar in his mouth.

A pink twi'lek was behind the counter, and Remy walked right to her with smug smile. The cigar moved from his mouth to rest between his forefinger and middle finger. Leaning against the counter he looked the pink beauty over from head to toe, his eyes pausing at her ample chest for a moment before they went to her eyes.

"Corellian Whiskey and an ash tray please. Also, is the owner in today, or is she out on other business?"

"She's here, handsome," the female said as she slid the bottle of whiskey over with a shot glass. "You want me to get her for ya?"

Remy nodded, and the Twi'lek went back toward the office. He'd wait for her.

“You’re joking he’s here” Rekha got up from her desk and went out into the bar, “Well sithspawn” The green eyed brunette couldn't believe it there he was the elder Steele standing at her bar all the way out here on Bespin. He had to be lost.

OR.

He wanted something, oh what could she have that he would want hmmm. She moved with a bit of caution towards him all the while trying to figure out why he was here, and he looked alone. Eliza was not with him, so...not on a run...ok...what else...could it be.

Rekha with a broad grin walked behind the bar and up to where [member="Remy Steele"] stood drinking her good corellian whiskey.

“I didn’t realize [member="Eliza Steele"] let you out alone Remy” She teased as she moved to where she stood before him, “Did you come to get my coffee recipe, or just my corellian whiskey?”

She smiled then leaned back, letting her backside rest against the shelf.

"I'm hurt, I really am," Remy teased with a glint in his eye. "To think Eliza has to keep her old man on a leash... I am not always a trouble maker. Besides, how is it I am to sample with competition if I don't leave her behind to run my bar."

Remy had a smug smile on his face. He was there to "sample" the competition alright, but not in the way most competitors did. Truth be told, Remy was getting bored with some of the gals he was bringing home. Either it was too easy, or he was just wanting the challenge [member="Rekha Kaarde"] provided. It seemed everytime he'd tried flirting with her in the past she found a way to wiggle out from it. Today he was determined to get past her defenses.

"You're Corellian Whiskey is the same as mine, but since it is expensive, I'd rather save mine for paying patrons. Your caf recipe though... Eliza says we need to compete with. Now, I'm a smarter man than that. What would you say to me if I were here to propose a friendly... uh.. 'merger' of sorts?"

Too soon for the inuendo? Likely, but this was Remy.

Rekha looked at Remy, yeah the whiskey was expensive no matter where it was served. But her coffee recipe was unique to her, the one thing that well seemed to be here trademark.

She smiled, "merger" Rekha rolled her tongue over her teeth as she thought about what he really meant. She had seen the way he looked at her, had heard the subtle little hints.

She had been down too many roads to take risks that would result in disastrous endings.

She looked down, "What is the long and short of this merger?" Her green eyes met his blue when she looked up, he was a good looking man, strong jaw, they seemed to enjoy the bars they both built, and she had a feeling her knew a few things that she didn't.

Was age a problem? No. not for her. Besides maybe she needed someone older, someone who knew what they wanted.

So...let's see what he has to offer.

"Well it is more long than it is short," he smirked, "but you could say there are more credits to be made if that caf of yours was being sold on Ord Mantell also. The Mandalorians recently took up post there again. I have Tihaar coming out my eyes, and need something to sober those walking tin cans up."

Remy motioned for Rekha to grab a shot glass for herself. The older gentleman was still that, a gentleman, despite the fact he kept looking at her as though he couldn't wait to get her back to her place for a little evening adult fun. Business before pleasure right? Unless the business was pleasure. Remy smirked.

"I was thinking we could discuss the details over a nice bottle of Whiskey. I'm buying, unless you'd rather go out and discuss this some where else?"

He winked. Yes, he was coming on very strong, but he always did. [member="Rekha Kaarde"] she was a challenge to the spacer, and well a brunette, and he did have a soft spot for them. His daughter was one, his late wife had been one. The old man would never admit it, but he was getting tired of playing the market. He was looking for something more... different. Maybe Rekha could be that. Sure she could be fun, and if she didn't turn out to be that, then he'd have his fun and do other stuff.

"So which is it?"

It was true that if it was in more places they would sell more of it. “Hey some of my friends walk around in those tin cans” She brought a glass and nodded her thanks as she poured the glass, and refilled his.

She liked that he enjoyed the Corellian it was well one of the better whiskeys out there. “We can stay here and discuss Remy won’t no one bother us until later.” Rekha leaned on the bar this time

He winked at her, oh he was trying hard wasn’t he. She smiled couldn’t help it when a man was as obvious as he was.

She was always more comfortable in her own place, “Besides there aren’t a whole lot of places here on the platform”

She sipped the whiskey, “Ok so what will you give me?” She looked over at him taking in how he was dressed, always well dressed. Always good manners, always had something to say. He might actually be a good match for her.

Remy chuckled at the question. What would he give her. He took a shot of his whiskey.

"Besides a good time," he asked.

If she thought she could out do him, or run through things he couldn't use to to steer back to what he was really after, she was mistaken. Remy was used to getting what he wanted from a woman, eventually they ran out of objections, or distractions, and had to deal with one question. To do it, or not to do it.

His cigar came to his mouth, and he took a slow drag, make a smoke ring to the side away from [member="Rekha Kaarde"]. Now she was closer to him. The bar the only obstacle between them.

"Well it depends what interests you. Either we go for a full partnership and sell the same things, or you let me buy your caf recipe. Otherwise we're talking a certain percentage of the profits I make from the caf, and our bars are otherwise fully independent of each other."

The cigar went back to the ash tray, and Remy looked her in the eyes. She was very close. It would be easy to lean across the counter and kiss her from where he was sitting. It was too soon though. He had to let it simmer, keep suggesting, and drive her crazy. Remy smiled as he pushed the shot glass to the side.

"Not here to get either fmis drunk. How about some of that caf. You can even teach me to make it if you're on board for the deal."

That would get the bar out of the way, and hands on training, it could turn into something steamy...

"I like having my own place right now Remy. It. Well it's home. " , She thought about the offer, "my coffee recipe"

It was not hard quite simple, "I'll show you. And we will keep talking. "

She shook her head, "how long have you been trying for this?" , She smiled. She tried not to be mad at people. Or,hold a grudge,,

Not that Remy had made her feel that way, but. He tended to make her feel gorgeous when she wasn't.

"Come in the kitchen" Rekha took her glass and headed that way.

:: HERO of KORRIBAN ::
"Now when you say this, do you mean trying for your caf recipe, or trying to get in your pants," he asked extinguishing the cigara in the ash tray and following [member="Rekha Kaarde"] to the kitchen. Naturally his dark chocolate eyes were watching her hips sway as she walked. Yeah, he wanted to bang her to cloud nine and back, and he was shy to admit it either. At his age of being late fifties, he didn't care about getting rejected or whether she knew or didn't.

The kitchen was nice. He thought his was better at the Afterburner. He might have to buy her recipe with some of his own recipes. A lot of customers commented that he had the best bar food in all of Worlport, a high compliment to him. His favorite was the steak and bacon dog. Yeah, those flew off the grill, and Remy could sell those all day long. They'd be good for Rheka too.

"Tell you what, you teach me the caf recipe, and I'll teach you one of my best sellers from my grill? We'll be even, and if you still want a cut of what I sell as royalties then you got it."

She looked back at him, “OK Remy how long have you been trying to get into my pants?” She shook her head and turned back turning the corner as they passed the door.
She was headed towards the ovens. There were smells coming from the ovens that would make anyone’s mouth water.

She stood before the ovens and then turned to look at Remy. “course you could also tell me how long you’ve wanted my café recipe but I think that’s been since [member="Eliza Steele"] mentioned it.”

She smiled, putting her hands on her hips.

"Mmm you took the bait with confidence didn't you," he smiled just before smoothing out his mustache. "Fair enough, my dear. I've been wanting in your pants since I first walked into this bar the night of that party you had here. Some other guy was keeping you to himself though. I never cut in."

The aroma from the kitchen certainky made Remy's mouth water. It was enough to make any man hungry. Of course so was Rekha. Remy certainly had his eyes on her for a while. Too many ladies would have given in by now, but she'd managed to hold her own, keep herself away from his advances, and befriend his daughter. They were likely close in age, her and his daughter. Remy didn't care though.

"Well not quite, but when I tasted it, I had to have it," he said moving closer, and closing the distance between them. "So beautiful, the real question is, are you agreeable to giving me what I came for, the recipe, and well... you?"

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

He was to the point for certain, “Well that’s been a bit ago, and you’re just now coming around to give me a reminder of it?” She looked at him as she tilted her head wondering to herself why did he wait so long. Was he lacking courage?

She could have backed up and moved when he got closer, his intent was clearly written on his face. She could see those little lines of age around his eyes, was she willing to hand over her coffee recipe.

And herself?

She bit the inside of her cheek giving herself time to think. “I don’t usually just jump into things Remy too much to lose when you do that” She still didn’t move though he was close enough.

She could always revamp her coffee.

But could she do something about herself.

She wasn’t one to miss opportunity, “ the Coffee recipe I will show you” She contemplated it again, he was tall, dark, good looking, they certainly had to have something in common.

“I’m willing to give you a try to see how it goes” She smiled then thinking and believing she was doing the right thing for everyone all the way around.

"We can start with the caf, I'll show you a recipe of mine or two, and then we ccan look into a chemistry experiement," he winked

It was that Remy had waited a while to give it a go, he just never had gotten her alone. Eliza was pretty clear she prefered it when Remy was not on the prowl in front of her, and other times Rekha was occupied with business or someone else. The elder Steele was a patient man, after all, he'd done time on Kessel, and that was a very difficult thing to do.

He took one more step closer.

"We don't have to jump into anything, sweetheart. I'm a very patient man. It isn't often a guy like me get's to keep the comapny of gorgeous ladies such as yourself, and very few who actually are able to keep up with my sarcastic wit without getting offended."

Hopefully she took that as a compliment, becuase that was how he had intended it. Remy wasn't the kind to simply led a girl on. Everytime he seduced a woman they knew it was a one time thing. Remy... he wasn't certain here. That scared him in a way. Maybe that's why he had taken so long to find an excuse to get her alone, like they were now.

He took one final step closer. She was close enough he could kiss her.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

"My title in the bar is Ms. Sarcasm so don't worry about offending me" She stood there as he got closer he was a lot closer then he had been since the day he was showing her how to rewire the transponders.

She looked up, she couldn't help but smile.

"You haven't got a hair on your chest unless you do it" She tilted her head back slightly to look up, he was a smart man, he'd figure it out what she meant, and if he didn't then he wasn't the guy she thought he was.

His breath smelled like Sweet Theeds and Corellian Whiskey, and his mustache was sure to tickle, but he closed the gap. His lips pressed to hers as the older Steele took what he wanted in that moment. Her lips were soft and full, and she smelled nothing like alcohol and cigar smoke. He wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her body closer to his. Brown eyes met here as he pulled his lips away. A confident smile was on his lips.

"The caf can wait til morning," he said with a wink. "Certainly you've got an apartment here?"

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

A kiss.

When was the last time she had been kissed? She had twinges of guilt but it wasn't that she was running away with Eliza's Dad, she needed someone who could soothe her right now. Remy had the skills and maturity that she wanted. No matter where this went, she'd take right now for right now.

He smelled of cigars and alcohol, he tasted of cigars and alcohol.

She could feel warmth the length of her form it made her feel good, it made her want more. Too many lonely nights had played on her mind, taking bites of her humor and leaving her wanting.

"I do have an apartment here, just a few comfortable rooms." Since no one was in, it was ok to close down for a few hours until the miners from the night shift began filtering over, and by then the staff would be in.

"Let me show you" She walked passed him headed towards the front doors, it would only take a flick of a switch to turn the lights out.

"Great," Remy said following her out.

Remy had never expected to be this far this fast. It didn't mean anything about either of them, but he had expected there to be more work involved in wooing the younger woman. Had she been open to this kind of pairing all along? Remy would never understand the complicated mess that was a woman's thinking. He much preferred being a man. No matter what he did, he was matter of fact about it. He either wanted something, or he didn't. Right now, Remy wanted [member="Rekha Kaarde"], so he was going to have her.

Catching up to her, Remy placed his arm around her waist as he grinned. It had been some time since he invested this ammount of energy going after a particular woman. He was always happy when the effort was reciprocated, and Rekha seemed to be doing just that. There was something about being this close to someone Remy liked. The effort had required some sense friendship before pursuing a romantic connection. He liked Rekha, that was all a plus.

"Lead the way. I'm all yours."

He was easy going so was she. She just wasn't the sleep around type she did like some romance some dancing. As he slipped his arm around her she smiled, she was trying to read him. They entered her apartment she touched a button lights go on. "I have some corellian here. Sit down." Rekha headed towards to small kitchen area she had put in after Coren and Sparks visit.

"So" she looked over towards him. "Remy, I find your strength of character attractive. " She poured a couple of drinks neat and went towards Remy. " so are you looking for?" She held out the glass.

She was curious, she knew his rep heard Eliza talk about him so what changed? Or was this just him paying a call.

[member="Remy Steele"]

:: HERO of KORRIBAN ::
Remy sat and nodded at the mention of Corellian. He'd rather not get drunk or even tipsy with this one. For whatever reason he had the desire to remember every bit of what was promising to be a great time. Though she had to ask what he was after. Now he had to actually think about the answer. He nodded a thanks and took the offered drink and slowly sipped it so he could have time to think about the answer. He could lie, and that came in many forms, or he could tell the truth. In this case the truth seemed the best route. It usually was, unless smuggling something.

"Is it fair to say I don't know exactly? Well I know I want to have sex with you. I also know I'm not here for just another booty call. You're smart, pretty, and make the best caf in the galaxy. A business partner would be great, but..." Remy sat the glass in his hand and held it near his lap as he looked Rekha in the eyes. "I'm tired of playing the same game over and over. A lot of guys wish they could be me when it comes to the ladies, but I don't know... I'm starting to get jealous of the people who have someone."

Remy took another sip and looked up to Rekha again.

"So, why did you really agree to bring me up here? You looking for someone too?"

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

She was caught she knew it, she inched closer to him reaching for his glass and setting it on the table. She then slid to be next to him. "Its been a long time Remy and I will be honest I don't know how I will feel in a week"

She put a hand on his shoulder being sure to look him in the eye, "if you're with me I don't share. So no others while we figure this out."

She reached with her hand and placed her palm to his cheek, "yes I'm looking to" she leaned forward and kissed him gently his moustache tickled her lip, She broke the kiss, "sex. Here or the bedroom?"

She waited to see if her terms were accepted.
