OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The formation of the Illyrian Planetary Police Officers was deemed necessary almost immediately after the new King, Adron Malvern took control of the world. What was interesting about the planet was that, until now, the many Nobles who made up the Illyrian leadership had mustered their own forces to police their own territories. In a world that was a number of individual provinces with their own distinct law this was acceptable, however under the guidance of the High Court this could not be allowed to maintain. So a Planetary Police Force was formed under the direct control of the Crown and by extension the High Court. However, the Planetary Police Force is more specialized. These forces have primary jurisdiction in the largest Illyrian cities and the most rural of abandoned areas. However, most Illyrian cities and provinces still have their own personal local police. The local policing units are held to standards equal to the Planetary Corp and report directly to their Provincial constables.
While these policing units are here to keep the peace, they also exist to spread a unified Illyrian philosophy throughout the land, ending the time where every province had its own strict dogmas and practices. These officers were the first step in a unified and powerful Illyrian people.
- Intent: Members of the Illyrian Planetary Peace Force are disciplined soldiers who are adept at bringing about structure, law, and order in a civilized society. They are designed to spread Illyrian philosophy & tradition through subtle means, bringing about a positive shift in whatever populace they are tasked to.

They are generally seen carrying their VAARS assault rifle.
- Unit Size: Medium
- Unit Availability: Common
- Unit Experience: Veteran
- Equipment:
- Combat Function: While the Illyrian Planetary Peace Officers go through extremely similar training as the Illyrian Royal Riflemen, the Peace Officers are not classed as only being soldiers. They are point-objective defenders, bodyguards, and civil unrest settlers. Their function ranges from urban warfare to defensive maneuvers. They are extremely educated soldiers who are given classes in psychology, philosophy, and biology. They are trained to know exactly how a person should generally react in certain situations. Using this they are able to derail horrid situations before they go bad. They are well-versed in counter-terrorism tactics and also adept at interrogating their enemies to collect information.
- Combat Proficient: These Peace Officers are skilled warriors, with skill equal or greater to their counterparts in the Illyrian Military. They are adept at squad-based tactics. Well trained with a blaster rifle, blaster pistol, and hand to hand combat they are generally forces who can triumph over the rank and file of most armies.
- Bilingual: It is regulation that all members of the Planetary Peace Officers be well versed in a multitude of languages. While they speak fluent High Illyrian, Common Illyrian, Galactic Basic, they also speak practiced Hutteese and Rodian. The languages the Peace Officers are trained to speak can be updated based on their planetary demographic.
- Well Armored: The Peace Officers are well equipped so that they may handle any and all situations that could require their attention, as well as serve as competent combatant units in open warfare.
- Mobile: The Illyrian infantry are a mobile fighting force. They excel in fluid, fast paced charges when not weighed down by their heavy powershields. They are also notably adept at fighting in extremely hostile terrain.
- Suppression: These soldiers truly integrate themselves into a community with the singular goal of bringing about peace, in a certain manner. They will work to convert those around them to a progressive Illyrian way of thinking. Including teaching the language, reasoning the philosophy, and promoting the good qualities of their homeworld and government.
- Teamwork: The Riflemen are exceptional team-based warriors, using no smaller than a ten-man team to execute excruciating damage to enemy lines. However, when tasked with accomplishing tasks as an individual there is a noticeable decline in their effectiveness.
- Borderline Zealotry: Although they hold their loyalty to a government and not a religious order, the pride and prejudice displayed by these soldiers make them prone to prefer death to retreat or routing, which makes them harder to salvage from a well laid trap or situation that may appear to be hopeless. They are particularly stubborn when facing beastial aliens, as they believe themselves to be higher than most sentient soldiers, let alone mindless beasts.
- Sympathy: The Peace Officers are just that, as keepers of the peace it is not their first instinct to kill or destroy, It is always their preference to negotiate or bring reason to a lawless situation in place of bloodshed. This can lead them to be tricked, deceived, or stalled when they believe a certain route can preserve life, particularly Illyrian life.
