I'm Gonna Be (Carliah Dakrone)

[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

The time had come, the galaxy would tremble and the republic would shatter. Balaya was reading the holonovel and laughing as with one hand she flicked through the page.. Slowly taking it all in while she waited to hear the news. It seemed one of the prisoners had become something more and sitting there in her seat she waited for the blackblades to bring her to her chamber. Carliah was the wife of Yusan and the mother of two sith apprentices, she had been with the empire for all this time and slowly as Balaya rose from her seat setting the book down she touched the suit of Oracle armor that was hers to keep. Elara had been working hard and serving her purpose well.

"Bring her to me, alive and unharmed. There are so many things our sweet Carliah can become other then just another prisoner sitting in a cell." The blackblades moved to comply with the orders and she held a gaze at them. Taking her new role as Voice of the dark lord seriously she needed to populate her sector of influence with ones she trusted and could control. She wanted skilled administrators and apprentices. Carliah had skills and knew what she was doing in many things. "Come before me my sweet girl, we have so missed your sunny disposition."

Carliah was pulled roughly from her cell and dragged off down the hall. She growled low in her throat but didn't bother resisting. After several months as Darth Vornskr's prisoner she had learned that resisting was pointless. She could handle torture, at this point, she even welcomed it. It was better than slowly going mad in her small secluded cell. Atleast when she was dragged out for torture she got to see the twins. She looked up when she noticed her escorts turning a different direction than the one she was usually dragged in. She had memorized the path to the Sith Lord's favorite torture chamber. She saw a door open at the end of the hall and beyond that door a Sith ship. She smirked, someone had apparently taken an interest in her. She continued smiling as she was hauled onto the ship. Things were finally starting to look up, in a way. [member="Darth Praelior"]

Balaya listened to the news about her, the prisoner was aboard and now to move off with the ship. She motioned with her hand while the sith familiar watched on the prisoner. She had changed so much as it were and now as Balaya spoke rising up while she moved to look out the observation window. SHe was rather interested in seeing what coudl come from all of this and a small experiment was merited. What use was there for a prisoner if she was't a brgaining chip? Her husband Yusan had... done nothing, had tried nothing to try and save her. She had no value if he wasn't going to care and that was why she needed to find a use for her. WHat better use then to turn her to the ONe Siths cause.. She might become a valuable tool to the will of the dark lord. Balaya entered the room and motioned away the blackblades as the ship jumped to hyperspace. "Hello my dear."

Carliah's head snapped up at the sound. She glanced around the room, searching for the source of the voice. She had heard no indication that the door had been openned. She growled and looked up at the ceiling. "Where are you?! I know you can here me! Tell me who you are!" She yelled into the room. She was sick of these games. If the Sith wanted to make her a tool they could atleast stop with the games and tell her their intentions. She had uses for the Sith too, and no doubt Yusan would continue to stand by her. She had heard rumors of him searching for her and she refused to believe that he had simply sat by and let her be a toy to Darth Vornskr. If she became Sith and he found her after it could open a lot of opportunities for both of them. [member="Darth Praelior"]

Balaya moved forward and looked down at the girl as she spoke putting a large hand on her face. The fingers tapping before she moved around and found a place to sit down. "I am right here, so angry, so wonderfully ready. Tell me Carliah, do you want a chance? A chance to be out of that dungeon? A chance to see your children? A chance to live no longer as a dog at my masters beck and call for when he tortures you? There might be a chance for you but only if you are willing."

"What reason do I have to trust you? Why should I believe that I'm not just a means to an end for you?" Carliah questioned, turning her gaze to the ground before once again glaring up at the ceiling. "I'm not a damn pawn! I'm not a tool to be molded and used for your entertainment if that's what you were hoping for! Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have power, the very thought is electrifying to my entire being, but if the cost is being a pawn... I'm not so sure I'll be the one benefiting." She growled in response. The same twisted smirk that had been on her face since she first saw the ship was still present now. It was the smirk of a woman gone mad, and to anyone else it would likely have been a horrifying sight. The bandage had long vanished from where it used to rest over her empty eye sockets and she was still clad in the ragged prisoner's garb she had worn in Darth Vornskr's prison. Combined with her ragged appearance the smirk was the perfect recipe for horror and disaster. [member="Darth Praelior"]

Balaya looked at her while she remained there. "A pawn yes but all pawns can kill a king and in the case of you my dear there is one king we wish to deal with. We are going to destroy the Republic, we are going to march across the galaxy and give order to the chaos that is the life. You are going to be a part of that one way or the other whether as a pawn to drive the one who loves you to madness and rash action or as a pawn and servant in crushing the republic. The choice of being used or being used but having your own army under you as you serve the Dark Lord is yours." She had a smile on her face while looking at her. "And there are so many special things we can give you for that. New clothing, your children to protect you, better yet your own throne. That is where we are heading, towards a sector of space that is vastly unexplored and in need of a regent to enforce the Dark Lords will."

"And if you decide I'm of no use to you? What happen's then? If I'm to be a pawn I'd rather not stay one forever. Even a pawn can become a queen if it makes its way across the board. Will I be crushed before then? Or will you allow me to continue with whatever it is I want to do once I've served your needs?" Carliah continued to growl out as she paced around the cell. The mad smirk still on her face. She smiled alittle wider as she paused mid step and looked up again. "Well? Let's here it then. Am I to be destroyed by you as soon as my purpose is complete?" "Only if you betray me or the Sith my dear. Become a queen, have your children reunited with you, have your kingdom in the stars. You can have anything you want but if you betray the One Sith there will be no place in the galaxy you'll be able to hide for the things I shall do to you." Now Balaya held her hand out and flared the force around it as she moved her fingers. "If you accept take my hand and swear your loyalty to the dark lord, come and accept what is yours. The worlds that require your special touch to be brought into the fold of order. Bow and accept your fate Carliah... renounce the weak Republic for what we offer you."

Carliah stepped forward and took the offered hand. She felt a surge of power through her as she clasped the hand held before her. The expression of madness on her face spread even wider as she held tight to the Sith's hand, relishing in the power. "I see no reason to deny you... But if I find I have been double crossed in some way... There'll be nowhere in the galaxy that you can hide from me." Carliah whispered sinisterly as she let go and took a step back. She smiled at the other woman now. The look still held a hint of madness. There was no going back for the Miraluka now. Her descent into madness had begun. You could go as far as saying she had indeed fallen down the rabbit hole, and everyone knows to survive in wonderland one must be mad.

"Oh you are a peach." Balaya looked at the girl and could feel it, taste that madness while she leaned there looking down at her. All the while she was pushing energy and power into her before placing a hand on her shoulder. "There will be no double cross my dear, if I ever choose to kill you... I'll be facing you and you'll be armed. I prefer a straight fight and we shall have such from from it all." The smile spread on her face while her tongue extended from her mouth the meter long biot created by the vong snarled baring fangs that gleamed silver. She brought it close and licked at her mad apprentices face for a moment before speaking. "Oh the many many things that shall come in the future and now your reward."

Carliah's eyes would appeared glazed over and unfocused as she stared at Balaya, ya know if she had eyes. The expression she seemed capable of where the varying degree of insane smiles and mad smirks that crossed her face. "You shall find no reason to seek my death... I can be quite the asset to many people." She responded, almost dreamily. She was still focused on the power radiating from the Sith. She wanted to be that powerful. She wanted the ability to crush her enemies with little to no resistance. Her smirk grew, she'd have to thank Vornskr for allowing her to be in a position that made this possible. If he hadn't kidnapped her she may have escaped Balaya's notice. She laughed at the thought, it was a hollow, dark laugh tinged with insanity. She dropped her gaze to the ground again, hair falling in front of her face and still smiling. [member="Darth Praelior"]

Balaya joined in the maddening laugh. They were all mad down here and she retracted her tongue as it closed its mouth letting the sith pick up with her hands on her sides the small woman. She was learning and wanting power. It was only right she be given the first taste as Balaya spoke. "I think it is only right you be given the first taste of what is coming for you. What is waiting for you to seize and take as your own." Balaya slowly spoke a spell as she used the force to enhance and share force energy. She pushed the darkside and everything she was into the woman while bringing her close until her teeth were near her face. Balaya had been enhanced and reshaped by the darkside she was a sithspawn compared to many others and now she was giving the feeling she had to her apprentice. "Tell me who you serve my apprentice."

Carliah looked up at Balaya and smiled. "I serve you of course." She said simply, glancing up at the extremely tall Sith. She felt like a child standing so close to the taller woman. She held her master's gaze with the same maddening smile. "I have one question though... If I'm to be a leader I will need to learn to hide my insanity. Will this be something you will be able to teach me? I don't believe one would feel inclined to follow a leader that is obviously insane. Insanity isn't widely viewed as beneficial to most people." "You've obviously never been to one of Kaine's tea parties." She laughed at that and moved sitting in a throne that had been built on her ship for her. Taking Carliah with her to sit like a child or someone who had eaten a labeled treat.... She sat there on the throne and looked at her. "Your insanity will serve you well in some cases, Widek is largely unexplored with people who need a firm hand. I believe they specialize in tarts and executions are allowed. You'll need to enforce your will by claiming a few heads I think."

"I see.... So... I really am to become a queen then?" Carliah asked, a bit in awe as she thought of how far she had come. If this was true she would go from a Senator's would be wife to a queen with little effort, and that thought pleased her. The idea of gaining power with little risk to herself was a nice one. She wondered briefly what Yusan would think if he were witnessing this. Surely he'd understand her reasons for doing this. He'd never be able to hate her right? She shrugged internally and nodded at Balaya. "Sounds like an interesting place." [member="Darth Praelior"]

"It shall be so many resources buried within and all those worlds hidden in the deep core. Nearly two thousand worlds that have barely been explored. All of it yours to enforce the will of the dark lord while sitting upon your Blooded Throne." Balaya continued to sith there and was looking at her while she sifted the emotions and madness around her. "Oh my apprentice, you do not know what shall be coming from this for you there is special things few other have. The one who abandoned you to us, to the sith, to Kaine. He has been seen slowly slipping into madness and darkness. Perhaps when the time comes he shall find you and you can be reunited with your entire family."

Carliah nodded slowly, wondering briefly how the Sith had known what she was thinking. She stayed silent for more moments before finally letting her voice be heard. "When do I begin training? And when will we be visiting this world?" She asked quietly. She was beginning to feel tired, weeks of torture and starvation had taken a severe toll on her stamina. She growled softly as she thought about how hard she'd have to work to regain even half of her previous strength. [member="Darth Praelior"]

"Now." She didn't say to which while the ship was traveling and Balaya let Carliah down while she stood to her full height snapping her fingers. The apprentice Elara came to join her as she smirked now grabbing her greatsaber. She looked at the small training saber being given to Carliah as she spoke. "Your first lessons have been carved into your flesh over and over now we shall see how much you have learned about causing pain to those who are in your way. Later when we arrive the real fun shall begin."

Carliah grasped the saber in her right hand, ignoring the pain from the still healing flesh that had been flayed from her bones during her captivity. She growled as she turned to face the other apprentice. She forced back her exhaustion as she saw the other apprentice advancing. Elara swung her greatsaber down in an arc at Carliah. Carliah responded by stepping forward and ducking under the strike. She slammed the hilt of her saber into the side of Elara's head, right against the pressure point behind her jaw in an attempt to dislocate it. She drew back quickly, ducking out of striking distance and edging around to Elara's left side. She struck out again, aiming to drive the tip of her training saber into a pressure point below her opponent's arm. [member="Darth Praelior"]
