Hello everybody thanks for the nice welcome xD
I actually wanted to ask for advice creating a character, i have the main idea and story of the character, but i don't know in what era the roleplays take place, like the old republic, the empire,etc.

I already read the character creation rules, and the template but if you want to add something more to give an idea of how create a character pls do

Also i need something to enter a roleplay?

Once you have that we will be able to see what type of RP person you will be and RP's can evolve off of that. Also realize what you start with can always change so don't be afraid to mix it up if your not digging your first character try.

As for tips, be detailed, the more you write down and flesh out. The more the character you create will grow and guide your writing.

Last have fun with it, this is a fun board, not a job. Don't take anything to serious and if you don't like who you RP with don't be afraid to keep trying till you find someone you like.

Our timeline here is approximately 844 ABY. It's well beyond the timeline of the movies.

If you want to get started with a roleplay, my suggestion would be to think of an idea and put up a post in the LFG sub-forum. Alternatively you could look for a public roleplay thread to hop on into, or send a polite PM to someone you would like your character to interact with.

If you go to holonet in the upper right corner, you should see a tab that says timeline. Hopefully it'll give you a sense what's been going on in the galaxy those past years.

As others have said, we are far enough out of the timeline that your RP can take from any of the settings.
Old republic, empire, new republic, vong, new movies, old etc, or any other period for that matter, bringing the ideas forward into the current setting. You'll see chaos is so big because it contains all this good stuff for different characters.

On your own character template, go nuts, make it personal to you

^ You just need your character template done, no approval or anything needed for new characters. Then you are free to join open roleplays, or make your own, or post in the LFG forum to attract others to RP with you. Joining faction(s) also helps find people to rp with.
