Considering Pluto and Neptune cross orbits, Neptune's orbit is not unobstructed, and Neptune shouldn't be considered a planet by the same criterion used to demote Pluto. Pluto is a planet. Whether the people's planet or an official planet is yet to be seen.

If we add Pluto back as a planet, we have to add five other planets BIGGER than Pluto. And we don't want to do that. It's classified as an Exoplanet, not an asteroid.

And it will stay that way.
