Imperial Remnant Alliance

So, I recently got an olive branch offered from the current leader of the Imperial Knights, asking if we would like an alliance.

I wished to get your opinions, and let you know the full details of the offer.

One outcome is a full merge with the Remnant, complete with all advantages and disadvantages ( including Major Faction status when they reach it)
Another is a closer alliance, where we would assist with invasions, dominions, and skirmishes; we would have to physically join the Remnant, but would remain an independent faction.
Or, we can continue our current neutral stance.

He left room to negotiate, so let me know what you think we should do.

I don't think we should merge with any major faction as that will hinder our ability to move throughout the galaxy. If we were to become allied with an Imperial faction, or part of it, a lot of different planets would become off limits to us, which would prevent our ability to do our jobs. If we want to be a true galactic police force then we need to remain neutral.

As a supporting Associate, my only condition on granting you access to technology I will develop for you will be limited on the condition you remain faction neutral.

I agree with both of you.
The spirit of the Grey Watch is our neutrality, and while this alliance may provide a couple OOC advantages, the losses outweigh the gains.

I will respectfully tell him that we will remain neutral, and I thank you for your participation.

Well, I guess that I'm a little late, but I'll still chime in to say that (even though its been decided) we should stay neutral and not pair up with any faction for the time being, even if we become major we should stay "neutral", just to not limit the planets we are able to operate on, or to make certain factions dislike us and maybe even target us in the future.
