Name: Imperial Stormtrooper Companies
Intent: To create solid NPC Forces for the Empire as well as provide PCs with Companies their Stormtroopers can be a part of.
Affiliation: Imperial Remnant
Availability: Common

Strength: Company - 300 Strong Each

Description: The reequipped and resupplied Imperial Military is, like all Imperial Instances, maintained by the ability and strength of its Stormtrooper Corp. Made up of numerous Battalions, Regiments, and Companies, the Corp provides the Empire with its Elite Soldiers who are the iconic force to take the battlefield over the lesser known Imperial Marines. The Stormtroopers that have survived in the galaxy in the last few decades despite the Empire's many obstacles and turns, have come to be equipped much more capably than their predecessors, and their skills far more honed as a result of the terrible struggles they have survived, though in many cases of course their ranks have had to be refilled by veterans of other, less traveled, units.

The Troopers of the 414th, 337th, and 288th have especially seen more life endangering situations than most. Having fought in many battles, most notably the attack on the rogue Warlord Feyor on Valc VII, the Sith on Crina, mercenaries on Vjun, and Fringe Holdouts on Bakura, they have distinguished themselves time and again, though in some cases their effectiveness relies upon the commander utilizing them. As goes for all soldiers.

Due to their efforts their spearhead the next generation of Imperial Combat Units, the Empire has moved forward to refit all Stormtrooper Companies in equipment and structure to utilize their forces to the fullest. Wearing armor identical in composition and effect to Stormtroopers of past era, the Stormtrooper Companies of the Imperial Remnant in the present are distinguished by their armor's slightly different appearance. Sleeker and more modern looking, they stand out as intended to forewarn the coming advancement of the Imperial Military. To mark this advancement, while the armor itself is no more protective, it comes with many more attachments. Such include helmet expansions for a full HUD, Night Vision, and Rangefinders in addition to standard armor's existing features.

The armor itself as a whole comes with many more impressive features standard for Stormtrooper armor already, requiring no additional development. Including comm units and recording devices built in the helmet, personal IFF signatures for each armor set, being completely sealed off to the elements, biological and chemical attacks and even vacuum, carrying an airpack attached to the lower back for twenty (20) minutes of air in such situations, Automatic polarizing and anti-flash blinding lenses, a Multi-Frequency Targeting and Acquisition System, Cooling and atmosphere control systems, padding and plates in the shins for ease on the knees when firing from different positions, electric plates in the gloves to allow powered strikes in hand to hand combat, combat de-ionizers to diffuse ionic and electric attacks to a degree, and two energy sinks built into the suit to diffuse glancing blaster bolts when able.

However, there were some changes added on. The troopers of the Storm Corp are equipped with additional protection in the form of a personal energy shield and several modular slots where they can equip more carry on gear or components for heavier weapons such as E-Webs or Plex Launchers. As such they can maintain themselves in the field for a longer duration and be much more effective than their companions in last generation equipment with cable launchers built into their gauntlets and magno-grip boots allowing them to traverse terrain more freely such as scaling cliffs or buildings or a starship exposed to vacuum.

Aside from the infantry though, Each Company is divided into platoons split up further into squads, however, they do come attached with their own mechanized divisions within their unit. These make up the heavy hitters of each company, from which the infantry assaults are conducted around. Coming in the form of a trio of heavy vehicles such as the AT-FAT or AT-AT for each company, with the majority of the supporting attack craft featuring smaller AT-ST or AT-AW walkers and various speeders.

Each Stormtrooper is also cross trained to fill whatever role their unit needs, from the sniper or demolition man of the squad to the medic or vehicle operator should they need to take up where a fallen comrade cannot. However, this does not explicitly mean each trooper is equipped the same so that such can do so on the fly. The standard trooper loadout for a soldier of any three advanced modern units typically carries:

Other equipment would find itself issued as needed, primarily to ensure every stormtrooper squad would have one soldier operate as the heavy gunner carrying either a plex launcher or E-Web, a demolition trooper bearing added explosives for breaching or preparing mines across the battlefield, a medic with added triage field gear to sustain wounded soldiers, and a sniper to provide long range cover fire and support. Thusly a Platoon Sergeant by all reasons should be able to rely on his Stormtroopers to be properly equipped and ready to handle any task regardless of which unit is closest to the objective.

To mark the total equipment fielded. Each Company is home to:

While each Company's field equipment is standard for their unit, their support and medical equipment may change based on their location and the presence of local base support and armories. While they cannot maintain bacta tanks on a battlefield deployment without extensive supply lines, they can easily arm themselves with enough equipment to last a field HQ for short sieges at the least. The totality of their equipment is not meant to arm every trooper either, as seen by the fact there are not enough Plex Launchers, E-Webs, or Sniper Rifles for every trooper to carry. Many blaster rifles are spares in the case of a unit not functioning prior to a battle so that no trooper goes to the battlefield unarmed. Or in the case a field HQ finds itself under fire and the company's operating support staff need to arm themselves in self defense.

The division of modern units are also somewhat different from standard protocol of older years. Owing to an increase in squad performance and a strong chain of command, these advanced stormtrooper companies are broken down from the company into four platoons commanded by a pair of Sergeants watching over forty troopers of ten, four man squads. These fireteams consist at least one heavy weapons trooper or medic, alongside a demolitions expert and sniper. In such a capacity each squad spread over the battlefield can contribute in many ways, providing long range support for their squad or the unit overall as ordered.

For example if one squad were ordered to breach an enemy installation their demolitions trooper would be more than capable of doing so regardless of which fireteam was commanded to perform the task, while other squads issued to provide cover could so with their sniper unit and heavy weapons trooper providing ample suppressing fire.

To make it simple in the end. The enemy should expect a fight.

So I see nothing wrong with this sub as it stands, plenty of involvement in the threads, equipment is standard for the most part. Pending approval with the caveat that any changes in equipment will require a submission modification.
