In Case of Silver, Break Face

Ladies, gentlemen,

In relation to northen Levantine gains and potential cutoffs for SJO expansion, it may be time for us to start considering response plans if our nearest and dearest neighbours decide to take action to circumscribe our corporations. Some of us have gone to great lengths to form business relationships with the SJO, but those will not protect us forever.

Armed response may be viable, depending on provocation. Our combined defense forces are capable of withstanding essentially anything the SJO can field. We have fewer ships, but far larger and more advanced.

Bounties may be viable, depending on provocation. Nobody has deeper pockets than Tion, and nothing says 'hands off' like a ten million credit warrant.

Defensive alliances may be viable, depending on provocation. Some of us have good relationships with the Abrion Systems Authority, the Mandalorians, the Shadow Empire, and the Levantine Sanctum. We could easily arm the SJO's rivals in exchange for action.

Economic warfare may be viable, depending on provocation. It would be relatively easy to break the SJO's military contractors and suppliers.

Relocation may be viable, depending on provocation. We've discussed the possibility of moving wholesale to ASA territory; we could also consider a buyin or buyout of the Corporate Sector, which is now wholly in Levantine free space.

Patience may be viable, depending on provocation. Should the SJO 'acquire' further worlds within the Tion Cluster, such as Lianna, Rudrig, or Tion itself, the remaining worlds could request that we form some sort of political guardianship and renegotiate ownership of the acquired worlds, perhaps in combination with bounties and defensive alliances.

Your input is requested. We all have our individual response plans, but we need to be on the same page.

The Silver Jedi are much like their non-colored counterparts, albeit significantly less intelligent. They will not launch a military invasion of the Tion Cluster unless prompted to do so. It is my suggestion that we persuade Tionese worlds to swear to never willingly join the Silver Jedi governed territories and instead form their own loose defensive pact. This will prevent the Silver Jedi from taking control of the planet after undergoing a diplomatic visit or assisting them against pirate raids, as has been done in the past by the Republic and the Jedi. Indeed, it will also prevent much of the problems that Jedi and their malformed offshoots use to acquire new systems from forming in the first place.

And where were the spiders
There were people seriously considering taking a step against the Tion Hegemony? That was not going to end well for those involved, Marek reckoned. The corporations present, even his own, had ships armed and ready to defend interests, and his own was working on trying to get people into places where they could listen and learn. But for the Hegemony, as much as it is near and dear to the Corellian’s heart, wasn’t going to just break into full on war.

There were better ways to handle it.

And Marek, being high up in the ASA had a few more pockets and hands he could activate. But even pulling them into the war might not bode well for Tion, with the issues around the Protectorate. But approaching things from the economic theater, that could help.

He could even move some of the Techno Union companies in a proper direction… Supposedly.

The way I see it, we can beat them in an information war. We have the funds, we have the way to get the knowledge. Deploy or hire agents, learn what we can. Deface them in the media, and bounty the ever living kark out of them. I’d offer the ASA but I don’t want to call the Omega Protectorate down around us. That is one theater I do not want to involve Tion in, though, I may be able to direct our supply lines away from the SJO. But no current contracts are heading to the Silvers from within ASA space.

If we can get the Tionese worlds to see that we are their best option, then we need to do that. And fast.
