In The Beginning...

[Pt1]

When the Galactic Empire had just begun, it was a slow transition for Jeron. It was a readjustment everyone had to deal with, and he was no different. It was a stressful time, but also a time for new horizons and meanings. It wasn't known how many individuals were affected negatively by the transition, but Jeron had a massive experience from the very beginning. From the day he exposed himself, it was only planned to get worse. On this day, it was a little different than the rest of his Imperial days.

"What is it you have of me now?" Jeron asked as he barged into the quarters of his new 'master,' his handler. Jeron had just recently finished a mission of bombarding a small settlement on a planet, out for weeks until he finally got to return home, and before he could rest, he was ordered to present himself. "Calm down, Jeron. You're not going out again for awhile, I have some other plans." His handler said, barely acknowledging his presence. By now they had both dealt with each other for quite awhile, and their relation would only further 'improve.'

"I don't even know why I continue to take your orders," Jeron said as he started pacing. This was a time just before his family was involved, so he was in this situation because the Galactic Empire wasn't fond of it, but he was taken in by a Sith Lord.

"I said calm down, now." She spoke up, now looking at him with an angered look. "You will control your anger while in my presence, you do understand that, yes? We don't need to make matters worse in some way." Jeron shook his head, just simply stressed as he stopped and turned to her, straightening his uniform and taking a quickened breath to try and relax himself. "Whatever, may we please get whatever this is completed so I may rest? I'm tired," he said slightly aggressively, raising his head slowly to look back at the woman. "That's funny... you speak of exhaustion, but you are immortal, yes? Or were you lying to me and the Imperial leaders?"

Jeron blinked a few times and sighed, looking to the side. Again, he regretted ever saying a word about what and who he was. Just as quickly as he turned his head he looked back, squinting slightly at the woman. "Immortality is a strong word, I said I don't appear to die from old age. But exhaustion hits me just the same, pain, injury, depression. I am affected by all these things, maybe more."

The woman grew a tilted frown as she shrugged, walking over to him, "If you were feeding, like you said you can do, you wouldn't be tired, would you?"

"I told you exactly what happens when I do that, I ca--"

"You will do what I tell you, do you understand? If you have any hopes of having this proper career and not resorting to criminal activities, putting your family at risk of the power you know we have. Now, release your stress. Hone your anger. We need to train you in the art of the Force." She spoke as she walked beside Jeron, observing him and going into thought.

Jeron shrugged with a slight head shaking left and right, annoyed by this woman who thought she had control over him, making him some sort of obedient slave. Unbeknownst to Jeron, however, there was a life long plan for him that would end much more horrific than any plan the woman could enact. The Sith... so cruel, do people even realize they affect people more than just inflicting physical injuries?

After Jeron had a moment to compose himself, he took a long breath and closed his eyes. Upon completely exhaling, he opened his eyes. "I've heard about this Force, I've never dabbled in it. Aren't only special individuals even capable of harnessing such a power to their control, just as you do?" Jeron asked, honestly curious as he doesn't know exactly much on the subject. He's observed the power in his past, sometimes witness to the insane power and devastation it can create, but he's never dipped his hand in it. He was always more interested in ship command and control.

"Yes, and I feel you have enough influence over the force that you could use it. Your Sensitivity is very low, but higher than most. You have the potential for at least complete control over one power, I'm not sure how much more strength you could funnel for others. But you can always have another, special, ability."

"Oh? And what plan do you have this time to cram down my throat? Why do I feel like a weapon instead of a ..." Jeron stopped, realizing just what an individual was in military. An item, property. Each individual was molded to what they were best suited for and where they could best help the military; a tool, of someone elses design. He looked down as emotions washed over him. After all this time he's been alive, realization was still new to him in many aspects.

"Ah... you understand now. There's no place for individualism here, Jeron. A soldier takes the war to another soldier, a Command tells that soldier how to bring that war to the enemy. You are the weapon the soldier uses against the enemy to force them into submission, Jeron. Now... Are you ready?"

"Ready for what?" Jeron said under his breath, tilting his head to look at her.

The woman looked over to a nearby table and extended her hand, influencing an item with her use of the force and levitated it towards them. "A very simple power, Jeron. Eventually, you'll learn to move objects with your power, all the way to..." She released the item from her Force grasp and quickly moved her hand to face Jeron. She had walked behind him so he had no idea what she was about to do.

Jeron noticed the item falling and breaking, but before he could react, he felt a tension in his throat and reached for it, squeezing at his throat. His eyes widened as he was no longer able to breathe, choking to death. The woman walked around him to show him what she was doing. "It looks like magic, doesn't it," She whispered, leaning into his ear and against his shoulder, lifting him slightly. "You'll be able to break bones with the flick of your wrist, you won't even need a blaster anymore."

And with that, she released him. He fell with his feet planted, but he hadn't the strength to stand, falling into a kneeling position and coughing profusely, rubbing his throat. "You witch! At least warn me next time!" He yelled, struggling to stand again as he tried to breathe, his throat feeling sore. "Hahaha! Do you think me some gentle mother, teaching her child how to live? No, Jeron, I am teaching you how to kill!" She exclaimed, throwing a Force Push at him to knock him off balance, falling onto her bed. For a split second, he thought the training would be sometime later, and she wanted him for another purpose again.

"Stand up, you fool. I'm out of personal time now," she continued, crossing her arms as she watched him. "You'll either grow this power strong enough, or I'll be done with you. With your position, you are useful as an Admiral, but I must make more use of you if the others will agree to keeping you. We're not fond of special treatment without earning something."

Jeron hopped up from the bed and once more straightened his unfiorm, giving her a stern look. "Then let's stop with the charades. Train me, I have no other choice. I'm only here on your terms."

She knew that statement was a jab at her, but she didn't get on him for it. They both, instead, stared at each other for a moment, so he at least he she recognized the smart ass remark. She released the stare and then turned, walking towards the small object that she had dropped on the floor just earlier. "This should be the easiest task I give you. You've never trained in the Force before, yes? Many have trained harder, with bigger items. I'm going easy on you since you are so weak. Now, lift this item."

Jeron raised his head and tilted it, slightly confused. "What do you mean? Lift it? Wave my hand at it and it will suddenly lift into the air without me touching it? I think you have too high of expectations for me."

She crossed her arms, becoming annoyed. "I may not be the best at explaining the force but you should be able to at least grasp the concept. That feeling when you feed off of someone, the flow of power, that sensation. Remember that feeling, create that feeling, and use it. Exert it and focus it into what you want."

That made sense to Jeron, but to do exactly what she said wouldn't be very good for him, now, or in the future. That feeling he receives from feeding off of another beings force energy to heal himself, or just take their energy... he hated it. Whether she was using that for him or against him, with the strengthening of the dark side through hate and pain, was absolutely unknown. But at this time, it was his only way of quickly harnessing it. He was weak in the force either way, and to learn powers... this might be the only way. "That selfish, painful, and fightening feeling, you want to me to remember that and create it, just to lift that thing into the air? Do you expect me to do it as well when I'm twisting someones organs?"

"I'm trying to help you grasp the power you have, Jeron. You're weak because you feed on it and it strengthens you, you're weak because you don't actively exert it so you don't know any other way of feeling it. Now, pick it up!" She yelled at him, extending her arm out to point at the object. She was less annoyed now, but just purely angered by his confusion and resistance.

Jeron cleared his mind and reached out, closing his eyes, as he attempted to recreate that feeling. The one when he fed off of someone, that strength beginning to flow through him. He angled his arm to aim at the object on the floor and slowly breathed, as memories started to ring through him. The pain he felt when he killed someone, the anger that he was a weapon for this woman to target whoever she wanted, the sorrow of taking an innocents life for absolutely no reason but to instill fear into the hearts of her enemies. He started to become overwhelmed by his motions and lose control, but he was a determined and strategic man. The stress on his face showed as he concentrated harder.

The woman stood there and watched, she could start to feel Jeron's power grow slightly enough so he could use it. She could tell on his face he was trying hard, at least he was focused. "Yes, control it, aim it at what you need. How many people do you think were living in that settlement you destroyed a couple weeks ago?" She brought the subject up to provoke him, to provoke his emotions, to make them grow.

Almost instantly he thought of the women and children that were living in their homes as the space around them began to erupt in lasers and fire. His head turned slightly as the memories struck him hard, pain obvious in his face. He swallowed his pain, though. He knew if he would fail, he'd put more than himself at risk, and that was all the motivation he needed. He knew he would not leave where he stood until he showed some sort of progress. It was important that he at least harnessed a slight amount. Today wouldn't be the day he crushed someones organs, but today would give him the power to control the Force.

His emotions were a power over him like no other, the feelings he kept mixed together from his memories were more powerful than any entity he would come across. Not to say he could defeat any enemy he faced, but his own emotions could betray him and defeat him, he was truly a fragile man.

"Move it, Jeron!"

His emotions had been building and building until he just couldn't control it anymore. He released all the power he gathered to focus on the object and gasped for breath. The released energy was thrusted into the object and threw it into the wall, smashing it. The woman looked down as soon as the object was pushed, but it was gone, she heard it smash as soon as she looked down... prompting her to look at the wall. She grinned as she stared at the broken object, slowly looking back at Jeron who was gasping and heavily exhausted. "I liked that one, but I can always replace it. You, on the other hand, show promise to be my favorite. But don't think I'm going to let you go on your way because you threw that little thing and broke it. No, we're not done."

Jeron leaned over slightly, angrily staring at the woman. His day wasn't over before he got here, and he just realized today... he had no day. Today, at least, was her day. Not his, not his beds, she was going to show him true exhaustion.

"When this exercise is done, you'll be able to do everything I need you to do. When I am completely finished training you, there will be an entirely new life for you, as my weapon. Things are going to change, alright, Jeron?"

---

It had been hours since the Sith began training him, but there had been a few different things than just telekinesis that she had him dabble in. There were several force powers that she forced on him, and forced him to try and replicate many force powers. It was to determine which he was best at which ones he could never master. While Jeron was weak in the force, his powers always fluctuated because he would feed on the force to heal himself and derive sustenance from. Still, Jeron could not learn many of the abilities that most use, especially dangerous attacking form powers.

"Get up, Jeron." She demanded, leaning against a wall. "You're not this weak, otherwise you wouldn't be useful."

"I'm not showing weakness, I'm exhausted you..." He stopped, turning his head to ignore her. He decided it was best that he not insult her anymore, not like it did anything. He was sitting against the wall, prepared to pass out. They had been at it all day. "Fine," she said, pulling a communicator towards her face, "send him in," she radio'd over. "I wanted to save this so I could see your power increased, but I guess you need it now."

"Wait, what? What do I need?" Jeron asked as he looked over, now distracted from his exhaustion. The door to her quarters suddenly opened and an Officer brought in a soldier, an Officer in barracks clothing, they seemed arrested. Jeron slid up the wall and became upset, "You're not expecting me to... no, I don't do it like... They are not like fruit!" Jeron demanded. The woman just grinned and waved the Officer away, pushing the man to his knees in front of her, facing Jeron. "What makes you think I'll go that far?" He asked. "Oh, I'm sure you'll want to, Jeron. This Trooper got his men killed on an idiots decision, but that's not the reason why you'll use him. I've committed him and his entire family to execution. If you don't, they die." And that was the ticket. Love was his biggest weakness, and Sith knew how to best exploit.

"If you want fuel to make you stronger, just think of eventually killing me. That's what you want, isn't it? You should be lucky I'm making you deals." She turned to walk towards her bed, slowly sitting down on it. Jeron was more than angered, but he had a mix of emotions as he stared at the man. This man meant nothing to him, but he hated the idea his family had to be mixed up in all of this. Regret. It has to be his most powerful emotion by now. He regretted exposing himself to the Empire, he regretted staying with them, and then agreeing to go under the Sith Lord's care. It was like dominoes from there, growing and growing.

"If you don't take this deal, I swear you'll have worse options later. It might even be someone you know." "Don't you dare... don't... you can not threaten my family." He yelled. The man kneeling there, afraid of what was going on, but he was bound too much to move. "I won't ask again, Jeron." She said, leaning back on her bed to get comfortable. This would be the first time she witnessed one of these... Energy or Force Vampires actually ...feed.

Jeron felt like he was some animal in a zoo on presentation as the chained goat was put in his pen and he was expected to let his animalistic desires come out. But it wasn't just animalistic desires that were a problem, Jeron feared to feed, as he had an uncontrollable frenzy when he did. He always tries to do it in quiet, sectioned off places so by the time he reaches another victim his hunger would calm down. Time was short, and he had no idea what she would threaten next. He looked over to the man in question and he could feel the little force energy from him and his heart started to beat a little harder. It was becoming like freshly cut meat to a starving shark, but he was being baited. "Fine."

He took a step towards the man, and all that was flowing in his mind is the fright of a frenzy and the pain of another life that he would snuff out. He was tired, he was weak, and he was hungry, though. But it just shouldn't be this way. He approached the man and leaned down to help him stand, giving him a stern look in the eyes. Jeron had pain in his eyes, but his urges were taking him in, causing his eyes to look dangerous and feral, and it only caused the man more fear. This was one trick Jeron didn't need to learn... he had an innate power to intimidate or frighten... maybe only to those who were weak in the force or not used to such animals, but it was enough for who he was supposed to target under this womans guidance.

He slowly turned the man around and gripped the shoulder, one last time trying to resist his urges, perhaps instill reassurance or calmness in the man for what he was about to do. The Sith Lord looking dazingly bored by the display of sympathy for something so simple and quick, being drawn out because of petty emotions. But, just as simple as it was thought of, it was quick. Jeron lurched his neck forward and bit into the mans neck, a grizzly appearance on Jeron's face that was both terrifying and confusing, but only the Sith Lord took interest in it. The man screamed out and Jeron held him in place as he fed, draining the man of every little bit of Force Energy he had in him. He didn't leave any to create a mindless drone, he consumed him.

As he finished, pulling off of the body and releasing it, he tensed up, closing his eyes as he held himself back for looking for more. Of course the Sith Lord only a few feet from him would be the best choice, but she would kill him. If she didn't she'd wound him to make the draining a waste and he'd have to drain someone else. The woman clapped and smiled, "I've never seen something like that! Now, are you ready again? I think next we could put a little pep in your step to get you moving faster, don't you think? That took terribly too long for just what it was." As he regained his balance, he wiped his mouth of the blood and glared at the woman.

"I guess Telekinesis isn't a specialty you can have, but I'm sure movement shouldn't be hard, should it?" She asked, she slowly began to stand but after she was on her feet, she used her force Speed to quickly move at him, almost disappearing and reappearing in front of him. Jeron was taken aback by the display slightly, taking a step back as he watched. She was close to him, dangerously close, torso's almost touching. It reminded him of one of the nights he was with her before going out on the mission she sent him on... where she used him for an outlet... like she had so... so many times before. It was a memory that was covered in disgust, but he kept his facial expressions to himself.

"I've heard of some of the serious force abilities, but I feel like these are simple abilities you're teaching me. Are you going for some kind of combination parlor trick?" Jeron asked, truly in ponder. "So many very powerful abilities, yet you choose these to give me?"

"Yes, Jeron. you don't need all of these fancy powers we have. We have them because we can't exert ourselves, or stick around as long as you. You could defeat an enemy by tiring them out over years of torture. While we need to do everything fast and immediately because we are limited with our time and strength. You're like a charge pack that has no sign of stopping. Now, of course we can not appropriately train you, here... in my bedroom..." she smiled with a wink, her thoughts traveling. Of course in response Jeron knew what she was thinking as he started to sweat. "But with your already heightened strengths and senses, you merely need to try and tap into their power and increase them. Just a little bit of training, not everything will be mastered here. These are just the first steps. We will have years of training."

"Focus my emotions again, pull the force, and exert my physical body. Does that sound right?" He said as he stretched his arms out, taking a few steps away from the Sith Lord to prepare himself, "Shouldn't be hard, I've pushed myself a few times in the past. But..." as soon as he said that, he recalled all of those times. All the times where he lost absolute control. "I never had power over it. It should be a... new experience."

The Sith Lord watched him and crossed her arms, a little moody that he backed off from their closeness, but he was finally not arguing, but actually doing. He tensed his body up and took a breath, clenching his fists as he tried to push himself beyond his average limits. Now that he wasn't absolutely tired and had more Force Energy, the concept of grasping his power wasn't as hard. He had trained himself when he was at his bare minimum, by force yes... but it had became like forcing himself to constantly carry dozens of pounds of weight, and then when releasing them, he could carry less weight with less effort than he normally would on average.

"We need results, Jeron. This isn't meditation."

"It kind of is, meditation. I need to gain actual control of the energy before I can use it. You should know that.

"I don't care," she said as she raised her hand and twisted her wrist, causing pain in his stomach. "Do it faster. Do it now. We'll do this everyday until you can get this simple task done."

Jeron fell weak, standing with most of his weight on one leg as his body shifted from the pain, "Dammit! Stop it, I ca- I can't focus like this!" He opened his eyes to reach out to grab the woman. "Your enemies will never give you mercy, they will never give you a chance to fight back. You can trust no one, Jeron!" she scrunched her hand to cause more pain, enticing him, trying to push him. Her other hand reached up quickly to keep him back with force push, keeping him at a distance. "This is not how you train someone! This huUurts! I ... said..." He gritted his teeth, becoming angered as he almost fell to one knee.

She continued to twist his pain and increase it, watching as he slowly kneeled before her, causing her to grin. Her scrunching and palm still aimed at him, keeping him down. The pain was so excruciating, it was a pain like no other. This wasn't a stabbing, a cut, a bruise, it was like a rippling through his spine as his mind was affected all over. Eventually it came to a point where scrunching his own body wouldn't distract from the pain and he twitched slightly, leaning as his eyes went wide. "I... I said...ss..." He groaned as his eyes turned feral and red again, but slowly. His instinct to survive was coming over him and he was pushing everything he had to become stronger than the push was throwing against him. Slowly, his tilted head angled to look right at her and he gritted his teeth, his menacing face showing itself before he could not handle anymore.

Then it happened, he overwhelmed the forced push and went straight for her throat. It was unknown how much strength she put into the force push, maybe just enough to keep his weight shifted, maybe enough to be a wall, but his heightened speed combined with the force, she was almost unable to prepare for it in the split second it happened. The action wasn't overpowering into defeat, it was just a surprising action that she did not expect. It was much more powerful than the telekinesis trick he pulled earlier.

One of his hands grabbed her arm, the other her neck. He forced her down to the ground as he bit her, stopping her force control over him and trying to drain her. Obviously, she was able to force him off by making him fly against the wall opposite side of the room, nearly knocking him out. She covered her bitten neck and looked over at Jeron as he lied there, against the wall, barely in a daze. "Eeh... that was... good... not what I expected, but I guess its results. I'm not doing anymore today. Clean yourself, I'll see you tomorrow. There's more to do." She said as she stood, getting her communicator to get some Officers in to escort him out of her room. "Try and get some control over the force you have, while it's powerful while uncontrollable, you could be something else entirely if you controlled it. But don't attack me again."
