In the Dark of Night .. [The Ethelwulf]

Location: The Shadow Halls
Time: 1600 hours

The light of day began to wane as the evening approached over Voss. Although still light outside, the Shadow Halls are in darkness as not a soul is about save for her. Her feet touched the cold stone surface of the hall with silence, her body concealed in her black form fitting robes, held in place by a thick Obi belt. Her face is hidden behind a black veil as well as her mask.

She walks onward with a long torch in her hand, the end of which is lit, the fire light providing her the means of visibility coupled with her penetrating black eyes. Around the walls of the halls she walks to each mounted torch cradled in a brace and lights them. A warm yellow glow fills the room and casts shadows within the tiny cracks in the walls. The flames dance, flickering and swirling, a black tendril of smoke wafts up and seeps through some of the cracks in the stone walls.

It is time to face [member="The Ethelwulf"]. Under her mask there is the presence of a slight smile, of course she knew him, as Coci she had met Ethelwulf on more then one occasion. But he did not know of her and this meeting would prove interesting and she hope instructive.

A small wooden bench simple in design pressed against the back stone wall, Creimire moved toward it and sat to wait.

Concealed in the Shadows with the help of the Force, the Shadow Jedi appeared in a mysterious way without notice from anyone at all... The Ehelwulf knew quite well the ceremonial place where the Silver Shadows met and where they usually held their meetings... although they haven't had any for the time being.

The young man looked at the figure sitting in the wooden bench and landed his gaze on her... there was too much she didn't know about him... throught his time within the Old Jedi Order and the Silver Jedi, he managed to conceal himself and there were just a few with knowledge about his true identity.

With his normal metallic voice, the hodded man with the mask on his face that revealed nothing... just like his Force Signature; he proceeded to address the one that was called [member="Creimire"]

"Sister Creimire..." feeling slightly odd at what he was about to say, he proceeded "...Master Graves told me that you needed to meet with me" Refering to your own presence and existance in third person was always weird.

The Ethelwulf probed the presence of Creimire, she was quite good at concealing herself in the ways of the Force. Luckly, he was the one that trained her and that knew how to feel her presence... they shared a bond that was quite strong and that he could barely conceal with the Force Concealment technique... but he was able to do it with concentration and remaining calmned.

"How may I be of service?"

From the corner of her periphery vision she caught sight a shimmer of light, the only thing to move was her eyes and they moved to look on the force cloaked figure that now revealed himself. The light from the torch near by him, coated the shimmer as the vision appeared before her. [member="The Ethelwulf"].

As the man became 'solid' in vision her mouth turned up in a grin that he would not see. The irony or complexity of the situation not lost on her, he is a friend, a mysterious one that - on many occasions - had accompanied her on missions, for the Republic. But now with the Silver Jedi things had changed and now she sat concealed to him .. or so she thought.

"Brother Ethelwulf", she gave a bow of respect to a fellow brethren of the Silver Shadows, "It had come to my attention that you had joined the Silver Shadows, as you are unknown to me as I am to you, I wanted to meet with you and ... test you", she said in a low whispered voice, she did not have the means that Ethelwulf had with the use of the mask, however she had talent enough to disguise her natural voice.

Her suggestion of a test was twofold, one to tease a friend unwittingly, and two to duel with sabers in a form of training. She knew well enough the form of the man, he is exceptional in his work and duties, there was no questioning that or need for testing.

However, in that moment a whisper through the force spoke to her, her head tilted sideways slightly as if to listen to a softly spoken secret, her brow knitted as she could not grasp the faint message. She push out through the force as if to grab hold of it, but it was like trying to hold water in hand.

Her lightsaber jumped to her hand and she ignited the blade, which was already set to the lowest level, and took stance. "A duel .. if you will Brother".

The mysterious man raised his eyebrown. Not visible by the fellow Shadow in front of him but he couldn't just ignore the amuzement he had in the request.

She definetely had no idea, and he liked the idea... although at the same time he evaluated the cons at the implications of the whole situation... Nevertheless, he had to take responsability for everything that happened and the type of lies he had to spread in order to perform his job for the Republic and the Order.

The young man took out his lightsaber, a different one from the cyan blade he had... it was his blue blade the one that he took in his grip and that ignited.

"Very well..." placing himself in the Makashi opening stance, he greeted at the girl and proceeded to honor her request "...We'll battle..." the blue light lid the whole place "...you'll have the first move..."

For a moment, the disguised man thought to taunt her, but the idea was dismissed... it was not the right time... too early to test her limits in such way... Instead, he just waited for her to attack him and to start the duel... it would be full of different emotions... it would be fun for both of them in the beginning.

The stone room took on an eerie tone, as the light from the fires and the blades bled together. Her purple blade coupled with that of Ethelwulf's blue blade. An odd feeling entered her for a moment, but quickly her mind returned to the duel. Creimire mirrored the salute of Makashi but she will not be take that form. Knowing Knight Ethelwulf to be a 'Master' bladesmen she had no thoughts of winning this duel, this was never the purpose of the meeting, but more for her to test herself against the exceptional bladesmen. Her skills with the saber still underdone and her want of training to achieve further skill most paramount. Little did she realise exactly what she was up against.

Creimire did not reply to the man, she much preferred to remain silent through a fight, to instill in her opponents an unnerving calm that would combat any taunts they might throw at her and fix her deep penetrating black eyes into theirs regardless of them wearing a mask. She narrowed her focus, almost single minded on the duel. She could not sense his presence in the room, but she could sense the room and all the surroundings, which left a gap in the force exactly where he stood. She may not be able to sense him, but she could sense the gap. Not that it really mattered now, but in the future against others this realisation might prove useful.

She imagined she was facing a dark sider, removing all connection to her friend before her, although she too was concealed through the force it was still not finely tuned to complete, but it was minimal to her ability. Taking opening stance of Ataru, her body positioned on an angle sideways, her arms out before her in a double handed grip, she would begin her first strike. She pushed to force to her limbs to give strength to them, but moreover, she gathered the force to her core allowing it to build and just before her strike, she dropped the concealment to allow her full presence, and released a sudden burst of the light side energy toward him, powerful and directed to his mind and aura. It was a maneuver that may work to form an element of surprise, but she lunged forward, her blade in a swift arc directed low to his left leg, as he is taller then her, he would have to stretch to meet it.
