In This Galaxy, It's Kill or be Killed.. or not. (Nalfein)

Ender stood from her kneeling position and wiped her forehead, leaving a streak of blood there. Not her blood, of course, the blood of the man she had just killed. Elion was crying again and had begged Ender to stop, but why should she? A cleaner, sobbing mirror image of the bloody girl fizzled in front of Ender. Elion was on her knees and had her arms wrapped tightly around her. An explosion sounded throughout the ship, making her jolt.

"Please, Ender-"

"You should have known I wouldn't have stopped, Elion. Or do I need to kill everyone in this forsaken galaxy to teach you that?" Elion sobbed even more. Being unable to even influence Ender even once was terrifying. She became silent as more explosions echoed throughout the ship, well, wreckage, as it plummeted towards the unknown planet below. Elion disappeared as Ender made the illusion fade. Looking out of a nearby port, Ender watched the planet grow larger until she felt herself slipping into unconsciousness.

...

The next thing Elion knew was she was lying on a soft surface. It seemed that a bed of purple flowers had broken her fall, and Ender was silent.

The Nalfein of Drowan sat on a crumbling segment of rock at the edge of what used to be the Grand Temple complex of the Nalfein. Once it had been filled with great cathedrals and temples to an ancient deity or another, but the entire complex was little more than a large field with a few crumbling sections of wall and building left in them to mark where once great wonders tood.

Nalfein herself was the newest of her tradition of priestesses, and likely would be the last. With her the memories and lores of the Nalfein would be lost, and though she was aware of it the knowledge somehow did not sadden her.

She gazed up at the sky , and saw it. That fired, the death raining on her world that she had seen so many moons past, her eyes narrowed sadly as she watched its path slowly nearing the ground. Everytime fate threw her down, she wished it would just kill her once and for all.

The flowers are in bloom as the birds can Tell, Its a beautiful day to be burning in hell. The spirits gave her advice, but all she saw was genocide, and she didn't know how to make it right.

Elion lay in the bed of flowers for a while, staring at the sky, unsure if she could move. She flexed her fingers to make sure they weren't broken, then her arms and legs. Her right arm kind of hurt, and her left leg, too, as she painfully stood. She wobbled for a few seconds before limping over to one of the big trees and sat down again, leaning on it as she actually looked at her wounds and assessed the situation out loud.

"O-okay, right arm is gashed in two places, bleeding. A cut on my forehead, also bleeding, but not as badly. I think my leg is bleeding too." Once that was done. She stood up again and began to limp away from the crash site, unknowingly going towards the very ruins where [member="Nalfein Rhain'Allure"] was watching. After she had been walking for a while, she stumbled into a clearing where she saw a stone entrance to what seemed to be a collection of ruins.

Looking up at the entrance to the ruins filled Elion with a sense of determination.

There was a little path in the Rhuins, one Rhain had made. It was made of simple, smooth rock and would lead to the little house that was all that remained of the living quarters where the Nalfein had rested and spent time together. Now all that remained of the once grande hall was dust and emptiness, and a faint candle burning next to where The Nalfein layed herself to sleep each night.

How many moons were left before even this place crumbled and was forgotten? Who knew. It was fading, both the memory and the powers of the Nalfein as time progressed, and the people lost their faith, in eachother, in their gods, and in their traditions, forsaking them for dreams of the future

Elion passed under the tall stone entrance in awe and reverence. She stopped to stare up at the temple, a few drops of blood from the cut on her leg falling to the stone like tears.

"Oh such a place like this, there must be a civilization somewhere near here. I must stay determined!" El turned and saw a smooth stone path, much newer than the ruins.

"Uh, hello! Is anyone there?" Elion's clothes were ripped a bit from the crash, and a piece of her pants snagged on a branch, causing her to trip and fall down.

"Uff."

Nalfein turned as she heard the voice

"Yes, there is someone here but...Who are you?"

She called back, rapidly walking toward the sound of the voice. What she found suprised her, a young girl laying on the ground but...there was something strange about her....her skin was so pale...and not purple

"Are you allright child? You look as if you've met with a terrible fate"

Elion pushed herself up in time to hear large footsteps and a voice answering. Rubbing her cheek where she had grazed it on the ground, Elion turned around to see a large woman of an undetermined species before. Looking up to meet the lady's gaze, Elion smiled kindly.

"Um, my name's Elion." The girl was much shorter than [member="Nalfein Rhain'Allure"], almost a full foot smaller, making her have to crane her neck to meet the woman's gaze.

"It would seem that I have, but it is more of a blessing than anyone would know." Elion,of course, thought her fate a blessing, even if it might turn out to be sad, as long as Ender was not there to make her life miserable.

"Um, if I may ask, who are you? An where am I?"

"You are on the world of Drowan, home of the Drowai, among others. Are you lost? You must be far from home. Come, let us go to my home, I shall make tea, and you can tell me what has brought you so far awai"

The sorceress looked the little girl over curiously, and extended a hand for her to take

"Come along now, little one"

She said, leading her along the path to her home

Elion took the lady's hand and let her lead the girl as she tried to process the information given to her. She had never heard of the planet Drowan before, and she tried to think of where in the galaxy it could be. She decided she was somewhere either in Wild Space, or beyond the Outer Rim. Elion looked up at [member="Nalfein Rhain'Allure"] and smiled as they went on there way.

"I guess I am lost in a way. I don't think I caught your name, ma'am?"

She lead her through the twisted path of the ruins.

"I am the Nalfein of this planet, little one"

Slowly the winding paths would take them to the Nalfein's secluded shelter. Opening the flap into the crumbling home, she lead the young girl inside

"What is a Nalfein? Is it like a queen? Or is that your name?" Elion followed the Nalfein into the crumbling hall. She looked around at the shelter, then gasped as she reminded that her leg was bleeding. Looking down at the wound, El tried to figure out exactly how she was going to stop the gash from bleeding.

"Do you have any bandages or some sort of cloth I can use for this?"

[member="Nalfein Rhain'Allure"]

"Nalfein is both my name, and my title. It is many things, Seeress, Prophet, Healer, Sorceress...." She explained as she knelt down to look at Elion's leg carefully. Placing her hand she drew her finger along the gash, coating it in her blood. As her finger trailed over the wound the flesh wount gently stitch itself back together and heal right before the young girl's eyes.

"There, does that feel better, lamb ?"

Elion watched in amazement as her wound healed right before her eyes, leaving nothing but a thin scar that would fade with time. The only kind of explanation she could find for this was that the woman was a Force-user. Definitely more advanced than Elion, who could still only use Telekinesis, but clearly using some form of Force healing. She decided to leave the subject be for the moment.

"Yes, it does, ma'am, um, I mean Nalfien. Thank you. I've rarely ever seen magic like that used to help people." It was true that Elion had rarely ever met Force-users who were even close to being Light-siders, but the few she did were very kind and gave Elion determination and will to live.

"You said that you wanted to hear why I am on a planet like this, and so far away from home. So what do you want to hear first? How I got on this planet or what am I doing so far from home?"
