APPEARANCE
As a Shi’ido shapeshifter, Inanna’s appearance is subject to change, but she generally cycles between only a handful of default forms depending on what the situation calls for. She usually speaks with a seductive, honeyed, sultry feminine voice. When under stress her Shi'idese accent becomes noticeable. Should you manage to make her blush (or bleed) you will notice her blood is black in color.
BIOGRAPHY
Born on the remote planet Lao-mon, Inanna Hoole grew up far removed from the rest of the galaxy. She was the seventh of eight children and the only daughter in a family which had a history of producing scientists, anthropologists, and other such scholars. But Inanna had little interest in science. Her true passion lay in storytelling, and she hoped to one day become a novelist.
While the stories she told were grand adventures populated by dashing heroes and dastardly villains, Inanna herself was unadventurous. Timid, withdrawn, bookish and shy, she had simple dreams. She was content with the excitement of her stories and would have settled down and stayed on her homeworld, if circumstances had been different.
Inanna was a solitary child for the most part, with her siblings serving as her primary playmates, but she did have one very close friend from outside the family. A boy named Arimanes Bosch, whose brilliant mind seemed destined to take him far, was mentored by the Hoole clan’s elders. Arimanes liked Inanna very much, but he became particularly fascinated by her Force sensitivity, which he did not share. While he was keen to study the biological aspects of the phenomenon and discussed what he learned with Inanna at length, he had no patience with the teachings of the Jedi or the Sith, viewing them as warring religious sects who did more harm than good. Inanna wasn't sure how she felt about the spirituality of the Force, but her fear of being sent away if her power was discovered prevailed. She kept her power a secret from everyone except Arimanes, only practicing basic telekinesis in private.
Inanna and Arimanes went on to have a youthful romance, but it didn't last. She lost contact with her beloved “Ari” shortly after he left to attend a prestigious academy on Chandrila. He seemed to have forgotten all about her.
Since home harbored only sad memories and bitterness, and her family members were urging her to explore all her options, Inanna decided to seek training from the Jedi on Coruscant. She packed her bags and left Lao-mon behind. At the Jedi Academy, she was unprepared for the difficulties she would face. She understood the Jedi philosophy and could follow along with the lessons, but her lack of discipline soon became a hindrance. In her own words, she “burned out” and eventually dropped out of the Academy.
This failure led to a downward spiral. Unwilling to return home and face the questions and disappointment of her family, she remained on Coruscant, struggling to make end’s meet. She discovered that changelings were considered incredibly useful, albeit for very unpleasant jobs—she was approached by spies, assassins, thieves, and prostitutes, all of whom hoped to exploit her.
Inanna found steady work as a prostitute at the Harem Club in the Uscru Entertainment District, run by Tahiri Levine. To avoid association with her old life, she started going by the name “Maetel”. Because she could literally be whatever her clients desired, her services came at a high price. But no fortune could wipe away the stain of shame. She hated what she was doing, and hated herself for doing it anyway.
Forty years later, Arimanes came looking for her and found her at the Club. He too was going by a different name, hiding his identity in an effort to outrun his past. Decades had passed since they parted ways, and both had become very different people, but vulnerable as she was Inanna jumped at the chance of escaping the abyss she had fallen into. But the deal he offered her ultimately fell through, and the two once again parted ways.
On the other hand, Inanna found a new purpose. Having discovered a Sith plot to abduct and experiment on children in order to give them artificial Force sensitivity, she has begun devoting her time to tracking down those involved in hopes of stopping the mysterious "Lord of Doubt" behind it all. Her investigation led to her joining the Sith Empire, taking a job working in propaganda as a cover for her investigation. But this brought her more trouble than ever before, as Inanna was wheedled into helping a defector escape, unaware that he was carrying vital stolen data. The theft and disappearance was traced to Inanna, who was forced to make a choice with dire consequences both for the future and the state of her soul...

STRENGTHS
- Skinshifter: A natural ability for her species, she is nonetheless a prodigy when it comes to changing form, especially humanoids. She can imitate any creature regardless of size or coloring, and for an indefinite amount of time. (Though spending too long in the same form can make it more difficult to change, and adjusting her mass a significant amount is incredibly taxing.) She can enact such a transformation at will so long as she is able to concentrate, and she will not revert into another form even if she is knocked unconscious. Her body is her greatest weapon - literally.
- Limited Telepathy: This is directly tied to her shapeshifting abilities and allows her to cover up inconsistencies in her physical appearance which would tip more observant people off that she isn't what she seems, such as smell or pheromones. It has little to do with the Force and functions more like a primitive hypnosis. She can only control what others see, not what they think.
- Telekinetic: Inanna has been practicing telekinesis ever since she was a kid and has gotten pretty good at it over the years. While she can't bring whole buildings down (yet), she can move small and medium sized objects using the Force.
- Writer: Writing is one of her talents and a hobby of hers. That's not just me blowing smoke up my butt - ask her to pen something, whether it's a speech, a report, or a full-length novel, and she will do it exceptionally well.
NEUTRALS
- Soft-hearted: Both a blessing and a curse, she is more likely to help those in need, but is also easier to take advantage of.
- No Fool, No Fun: Inanna is playful and has a mischievous sense of humor. She often plays pranks and jokes around in an attempt to lighten the mood. Some may find her behavior childish and annoying.
- Seductress: Inanna can use her shapeshifting and telepathic abilities to appear very appealing to others, but it is a superficial charm. She doesn't necessarily enjoy doing it and derives no sense of empowerment from seducing others. It is simply a means to an end.
- Wants to Be Liked: Inanna cares too much about what others think of her and will strive to please them, even to her own detriment. She is also easily embarrassed and will feel intense humiliation or shame at the slightest social misstep.
- Stubborn, Splendid, Adorable Fool: Inanna is extremely vulnerable. She's not very smart, can't really think on her feet, and is easily bested both in a physical fight and a battle of wits by stronger and craftier foes. But every time she stumbles, she manages to bounce back again. Her rage at her failures and her desire to make things right keeps her going. That said, some day she's doomed to fall and not get back up...
WEAKNESSES
- Scatterbrained: It is extremely easy for other Force users to read her unprotected mind, but they will typically find her thoughts chaotic and hard to follow. She can also be influenced by Mind Trick/Dominate Mind, if you wanna be a jerk - but if you're opting for Drain Knowledge, you'll have to have considerable skill to navigate the mess.
- Failed Jedi: She spent one year at the Jedi Academy on Coruscant many decades ago, and came away having learned nothing. This failure still haunts her today; it is what ultimately sent her on a downward spiral in the first place.
- Low Self-esteem: She doesn't think very highly of herself and therefore has made few attempts at improving herself or her skills. Should she find herself in a bad situation, she will rely heavily on the assistance of others and "friends" to help her.
