The Heir
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
While on Myrkr during a Sith expedition to ambush and neutralise a Jedi presence, Malum came along a pack of Vornskr, coming headfirst with the species which had the ability to unconsciously sense the Force. Leading the pack back to his transports he was able to capture the pack, in a bid to better understand the way in which they operated, all under which time leading Tsis'Kaar took time to tame the creatures, of which Indago, as one of the oldest pups took to the training very well.
The first measures were to tone down their instincts to hunt those who were force sensitives, the pack began to accustom themselves to the presence of force sensitives without attacking them, especially as they learned that they did not necessarily need to hunt for food, as it was mostly supplied to them, apart from what was released into their enclosures so that their predatorial instincts were maintained.
Still ever dangerous, caution was given around them, with many injuries, and even a life lost in the experience of training them. Yet, by the end, they became even somewhat affectionate, and loyal to their Tsis'Kaar handlers, which is where a key discovery was made, in much the same way that they could sense force sensitivity, as a dog could provide physical and emotional comfort to an individul, Vornskrs could do so through the Force.
Indago, proving particularly able in this regard, leading to Malum's intention to provide him to one who might be in want of such thing.
- Intent: Submission for the Sith Secret Santa 2024.
- Image Credit: Wookiepedia, Wookiepedia, Minecraft Wiki (Joke)
- Role: Pet and Guardian, pet in being docile enough around those familiar enough with the creature, guardian in that it will both seek to protect those it is familiar with, and provide aid in moments of strife.
- Permissions: N/A
- Links: Vornskr, Behind Enemy Lines
- Age: Three
- Force Sensitivity: Untrained Force Sensitive
- Species: Vornskr
- Appearance: The Vornskr can be summarised as looking like a giant shaggy rat, the canine creature stands on four paws, with a size that would allow a child to comfortably ride it if they were bold enough, immensely furry that when well groomed is remarkably soft juxtaposing against its intimidating maw, sharp claws protrude out from its paws, alongside equally sharp fangs from its jaw. Ironically, once shaved it has the habit of looking like a shaved cat, very sleek and angular, it looks every bit the dangerous predator that it is. Its tail is long and concludes with a bushy end.
- Name: Indago
- Loyalties: Sith Secret Santa 2024 Recipient, Tsis'Kaar, Sith Order
- Notable Possessions: N/A
- Personality: The best way to describe Indago is intimidatingly lethargic, much like a lion. Trained and disciplined against his natural inclinations to hunt those who are Force Sensitive, Indago has come to thus regard most sensitives with a detached passivity, unless otherwise, they display themselves as a threat. He does not hold much affection for anyone, though those who feed him are quick to gain his favour. Those who spend much time with the Vornskr will find some small amounts of affection from him, and a willingness to defend them from threats to their person, while any who threaten him or any of those whom it has grown attached will face a violent reaction.
- Training: Trained in much the same way as a dog, even if sometimes considering himself above such tricks, the Vornskr can fetch, and be commanded to strike at others, alongside knowing to provide support towards those experiencing strife, emotionally, physically, and through the Force.
- Combat Function: The Vornskr at the end of the day is a deadly predator, it should not be underestimated with its immense size providing it the strength to prove a challenge for most foes, while its agile build makes it a tricksy and quick foe. With a jaw that can tear through flesh, ad claws which can break through armour. However, it is at the end of the day an animal, as dangerous as it is, can be neutralised, such that it best serves as playing a secondary role for a main combatant, however, even in that it could prove itself a liability depending on how emotionally invested the owner of the animal is in its life and safety.
- Force Abilities (Force User Companions Only): Ability to sense Force Sensitives, Provide limited emotional support towards those experiencing strife.
- Loyal - For those who gain the affection of Indago, they will have peace of mind in knowing that they will have its loyalty, to be their companion, protector, and supporter.
- Fierce Warrior - Indago is a large and swift wild animal, those who are able to survive his intimidating stare, will have to face a true giant of a creature with protruding fangs and sharp claws, that can strike as quickly as it is strong, for anyone facing Indago will prove a challenge.
- Force-support - They say a dog is a man's best friend, but that is only more pronounced for Indago, for while a dog will assist their masters emotionally and physically, Indago can go one step beyond, and with his evolutionary nature allowing him to sense Force Sensitivity, he further is able to provide support through a transcendent level of being.
- Overstimulation - As Indago is a Vornskr who can sense through the Force to assist in the ability to hunt, the fact he has been trained to be more passive around Force Sensitives, means that he often grows agitated and frustrated when there are many Force Sensitives that his nature demands him to hunt, but that his training demands he stop.
- Weaker Senses - As Indago is a Vornskr with an additional sense, to hunt primarily Ysalamiri, all his other senses have evolved to take a lesser precedent, in no way is he blind, deaf, or an anosmiac, but they are notably weaker than that of even another common canine.
- Wild Animal - At the end of the day, Vornskrs are wild animals, all the training in the world, especially as they have not been domesticated cannot fully contain a primal instinct. Indago at the end of the day is a tamed wild animal, yet still a wild animal, and all caution should be advised in interacting with him.
