Many Paths, One Purpose.
The Independent Force Orders branch is a coalition of non-Jedi Force traditions that have aligned with the Foundation in their fight against oppression. While the Jedi Coalition serves as a critical pillar in the rebellion, the Force is not exclusive to their teachings. Various groups—each with their own philosophies, techniques, and moral codes—have joined the cause, bringing diverse and invaluable skills to the battlefield.
These orders often operate autonomously but collaborate with Foundation leadership to lend their expertise where it is most needed. Some serve as frontline warriors, others act as battlefield healers, and some provide intelligence, reconnaissance, or spiritual guidance. Though they do not follow a singular doctrine, they share a common goal: resisting tyranny and ensuring that the Force remains a tool for justice, rather than oppression.
Possible Groups and Contributions:
- Wardens of the Sky: A nomadic order of Force-sensitive pilots and scouts who specialize in rapid-response missions, aerial combat, and hit-and-run tactics. Their deep connection to the Force allows them to anticipate enemy movements and maneuver in ways that defy conventional physics.
- Zeison Sha: Known for their self-reliance and mastery of telekinetic combat, Zeison Sha warriors are formidable in both ranged and close-quarters engagements. Many serve as elite skirmishers and trainers, ensuring Foundation troops learn to resist mental manipulation.
- Jal Shey: Unlike traditional warrior orders, the Jal Shey focus on knowledge, diplomacy, and battlefield analysis. They provide strategic counsel, intelligence gathering, and even equipment enhancement using their deep understanding of the Force.
- Matukai: A martial tradition that uses the Force to enhance physical conditioning, Matukai warriors are some of the most resilient fighters in the rebellion, often serving as frontline troops or special operations forces.
Roles Within the Foundation:
- Specialized Combatants: Many members of this branch fight alongside Foundation troops, using their unique skills in battle.
- Covert Operations: Certain groups, like the Wardens of the Sky, engage in deep-space reconnaissance and intelligence gathering.
- Mediators & Diplomats: The Jal Shey and Baran Do help broker alliances with planetary governments and neutral factions.
- Spiritual & Philosophical Guidance: They ensure that the Foundation does not fall into the same authoritarian tendencies as the enemies they fight.
