STRENGTHS
  • Infantry Support - Designed to provide support to infantry units, the vehicle comes equipped with a set of repeating blasters perfectly suited for its Anti-Infantry role.
  • Hi-Intensity Searchlights - The Infantry Support Walker comes equipped with four searchlights aligned in pairs on either side of the cockpit that can be utilized in search and rescue operations or can be utilized to disorient enemy infantry in darker environments.
  • Maneuverability - Due to its lightweight and it's relatively small size, the walker is known to be nimble, easily able to turn corners, and can achieve a relatively high rate of acceleration for a vehicle of its size.
WEAKNESSES
  • Minimal Defenses - The Infantry Support Walker sacrificed heavier armor plating for its increased speed and maneuverability. Though capable of withstanding limited small arms fire, it is incapable of withstanding strikes from heavier ordnances such as Anti-Vehicle Cannons, High Explosives, or Armor-Piercing munitions.
  • Hi-Intensity Searchlights - Though a boon in search and rescue operations, the intensity and location of these searchlights provide an ample target and can easily mark the location of the walker, especially in night-time conditions.
  • Piston Actuators - Located behind the cockpit and beneath the housing of the walker's primary weapon, the main piston actuators are uncovered and easily accessible from the rear. A strike in this area or damage to these pistons can often render the walker inoperable, forcing the pilot to abandon the vehicle.
DESCRIPTION
With a cockpit barely large enough to house a singular individual, and a more limited role than the Racyon and Bobcat Walkers produced by Si Tech, the Infantry Support Walker can easily be seen as an experimental first stage for a larger planned platform for the near future. The Infantry Support Walker embraces speed and maneuverability, however, it has come at the cost of sacrificing heavier armor platting to achieve its increased acceleration. Its relatively small size and nimble build also ensure that it is well suited for urban engagements as it can easily navigate the often tight street corners and narrow corridors of dense metropolises and cityscapes.

Though the Infantry Support Walker is capable of withstanding limited small-arms fire, its lack of heavier armor means that it is incapable of withstanding heavier blows. Due to this, it is highly suggested that it not be deployed against vehicles, or without additional infantry support when faced against Anti-Vehicle equipment such as shoulder-mounted ordnance launchers. Where the walker shines, figuratively and literally, is in its ability to be utilized for search and rescue operations thanks to its Hi-Intensity Searchlights. Located in sets of two on either side of the cockpit, these lamps can be utilized to assist in rescue operations or can be utilized to blind or startle unsuspecting enemy combatants. However, the location of these lights can be easily seen due to their intensity and can create tantalizing targets, allowing the vehicle to be easily rendered inoperable if the mounts were struck with a skilled and well-placed ordnance strike.

Despite its drawbacks and a cramped cockpit, those few test pilots and troopers on the front that have gotten their hands on the vehicle have noted and lauded its ease of use and its higher acceleration comparable to vehicles of its size. The Infantry Support Walker provides the Galactic Alliance with a nimble support vehicle that can be easily deployed alongside infantry formations to provide increased firepower on par with a standard infantry squad.
