- Highly Conductive Material: This material's resistance to heat and temperature fluctuations in general is contributed to it's high conductive nature, allowing energy of any kind to be dispersed properly throughout its molecular structure without endangering said aforementioned structure's integrity. This allows for greater application in machinery and technology geared towards either very intensive electric use such as reactors, sensors, etc.
- Lightly self repairing: Though it isn't like it can repair entire holes or cuts in its structure, light scrapes, blemishes and even dents can seemingly vanish over time due to the oxidation of the material, which is unlike rust and more to the oxidation found on silver or copper, where the oxidation binds properly with the material rather than eating into it. However, over a long period of time this can result in discoloration and loss of its conductive properties, so proper refurbishment is always recommended in due time.
- Very High radiation resistance: Due to the use of Agrinium to replace most of the original Mercury base found in the compound, this alloy takes on more characteristics of this new ingredient to the alloy, granting it a decent overall resistance to harmful radiation, making the metal suitable to be used for reactor shielding, factory and maintainance droids and many other applications.
- Sensor Blocking: Due to the combination of neuranium and agrinium, this material has a very good use in blocking sensors and scanners, allowing for applications in regards to stealth systems, radar jamming, etc.
- Very High Energy and elemental resistance: As explained above, thanks to its high conductivity, this material proves to be quite the wall to breach for any weaponry using temperature or energy as it's source of strength. It also allows for safe use in environments which are hostile in atmospheric nature and ambient temperature.
- Less poisonous than Infinium 01458...: As it is meant to expand the material use for the Infinium formula, the fact that it contains less mercury, makes this material less overtly poisonous than the most produced infinium variety: Infinium 01458.
- Still poisonous though: Even though as stated above, it is much less overtly poisonous in comparison to Infinium 01458, direct exposure is still harmful to sentient life and prolonged exposure may still result in a multitude of negative physical influences such as hemophelia, nauscea and even internal bleeding in severe cases.
- Acid and corrosion weakness: Though it is impressively strong against factors such as heat, energy and radiation, specifically designed corrosive materials and acids which are capable of breaking apart molecular structures will find no resistance within this material.
- Not good for communication systems: Any constructions of droids or other technological marvels which need external signals to be transmitted to them will find a hard time being connected or contacted through signals due to this metals anti-radiation and stealth capacity. Ships using this material for plating are forced to use more exposed sensory and communications arrays outside of the plating or uncovered by it.
Though Infinium is used mainly for droid cores and unusual protective shielding, the expanding use of the material always relied on external electronic generators or internal electronic circuits to keep the material into a stable solid form as long as the electricity was running through it, this however also meant that the metal's main weakness was in most cases said aforementioned electronic circuit. To avoid this issue and to figure out a way to gain a proper bonding without the liquid form being an issue, there were tests with various other metals.
At first the idea was to combine the company's own Ersteel variants with the Infinium compound, but this resulted in a failure as the two alloys were incapable, no matter which type was being used. A second choice was to forge durasteel in heated infinium to forcefully bond it, but alas, this resulted in the infinium either mixing with the lommite necessary to make durasteel and simply turning into an even more unstable form or it simply didn't bond at all. These tests eventually were discontinued to avoid the overuse of durasteel.
After many a trial, the choice came to agrinium for its properties of being radiation proof and a very stable metal in its own right, though the bonding process is rather lengthy and needs state of the art smeltingovens, but the endresult is more than worth it, as for the first time since its conception, there is an infinium alloy retaining the properties of the other infinium compounds with the anti-radiation properties of agrinium. However, some of the negative aspects of the cheaper, more impure infinium 01458 remained, such as the new alloy still being poisonous to a degree and the added disadvantage that it now makes it pretty hard to be used in droids depending on remote signals, as it's signal blocking goes both ways.
