Innocence

I hate this place.

Pravis had been hired by some nightclub owner to protect his businesses on Dantooine, but things went south quickly, and his client backed off. Now, he was stranded on this planet with no way off it, at least for the forseeable future. The Kaleesh merely wandered the streets, trying to figure out a way to get off this hunk of rock.

However, on this day his plans were put on hold.

What in the-Who left this kid on the streets!?!

Pravis, while turning a corner, laid eyes on a little girl sitting on a bench. No one in their right mind would just leave a child here, as crime was rampant in this area.

"Excuse me? Are you lost or somethin'?"

It was easy to cry in a cute way. All you had to do was pinch yhe tip of your nose until the tears came, and then scrunch up your face like an upset baby and make baby noises. Move your fists in a circular motion on your eyes to cause better redness and spread out the tears, and there you have it. A crying child alone and afraid.
Auralee mastered this feat when she was five. It had been very useful ever since. She didn't have to wait long for some poor sucker to fall for her.
"Excuse me? You lost or somthin'?"
Auralee uncovered her eyes and continued to sniffle adorably, nodding slowly.
"Mommy told me to wait for her right here. She told me she'd be back with ice cream, but I can't find her anywhere!"
Just like her face, her voice was so little and sweet that it could melt any heart that listened to it.

Pravis nervously scratched the back of his neck as the girl told him about her missing mother. The Kaleesh was not the most sensitive person, as he had survived through wars, genocide and even slavery. However, even this desensitized vetera knew that this girl was the pure embodiment of innocence. A scowl crossed his face as he thought about the young child's mother. What person could abandon their child, let alone in such a seedy area like this? Disgusting behavior like her mothers could not be tolerated!

However, Pravis was not the most social person. He wasn't prepared to deal with a list child, let alone one who was abandoned!

"Uh...Look, I'm going to take you to the authorities, and there they can find your mother!"

Auralee wiped her eyes a bit and looked up at the person. They looked to be like some sort of cyborg. Her eyes were puffy and red, squinting slightly from the sunlight. She sniffled some more.
"W-who are the oth-or-oaties?"

((OOC: Man, do I love me some cheesy and intentionally awkward writing. Don't you?))
Pravis once more fidgeted awkwardly. "The authorities are some nice people who will help you find your Mommy. Okay? Good. Now let's move!" Pravis lightly grasped the girls hand and brought her up. He let go, and gestured towards her to follow him. The Kaleesh walked into a busy square nearby. People bustled bye, with the occasional spice addict seizing on the ground. Blood stained some of the earth around him, as a couple of teenagers hustled an old Hapan nearby. "Why this part of town?" Pravis mumbled under his breath.

Auralee made sure to latch onto his hand and walk closely beside him as the cyborg brought her into the town square. There weren't very many "respectable citizens" in this part of the city. But usually when it came to a sweet little girl being kidnapped, even less than respectable people would try to help. It was one of the funner things to do when Auralee was bored.
So, she bided her time. finally when they were literally in the center of the square, she began to scream and cry and weakly fight against being pulled along.
"HELP! PLEASE, HELP ME!! HE'S NOT MY DADDY!!!"
Let the game begin.

Pravis immediately shook the girl off. Was she trying to scam out of his money, was she trying to get him arrested or was this just some sick entertainment for her? Whatever it was, Pravis knew their would be no explanation that could justify the girls outburst to these people. While many of them seemed to have a lack of a moral compass, their was some semblance of one for some these people. "What is wrong with you, ya' fethin' sadist!" The Kaleesh cursed at the girl.

Pravis slung his shotgun off his shoulder, and began slowly backing out of the square. While he was prepared, he didn't want to have a bloodbath here.
