Yo, new to this here site thingy, going to be a fun few hours as I figure out... everything. The site looks really well thought out and from what I have managed to decode in the 'New People Click Here Because You're New And Don't Know What To Do' info thread, seems to have a really neat layout and format which is nice.
On the glorious being that is me, I have been rping on various websites for ten or so years now? Yeah, around ten years, give or take. I have an active account on RPnation that I use as well, but figured I would do something with my second favorite Sci-Fi universe and, well, stumbled upon this site as I was too lazy to try and create one myself. I enjoy table top RPGs as well, hosting a campaign with some friends, so, yeah, I enjoy a good story and the act of creating that story with other people is where I really get my kicks.
Also, over the years, found certain things I like and don't like to do. Fights, for instance, I am not a fan of random encounter fights where people are, 'X swings his lightsaber at Y's shoulder, hoping to draw Y's lightsaber up with the feint for a quick low swing to follow up.' I just don't like how it looks and it really slows everything down and.. just blegh. Always been a massive fan of talking to the other person in a PM and just decide how you want the fight to go, OOC, talk about neat things or ways the fight could go and end, that way, you aren't writing character A vs character B, you are two people writing an awesome story to the fullest rather then that half-action stuff. But that is just me as I have always been willing to play ball, and I get others aren't as willing to do the same.
Annnnnyways, yeah, I'm pretty awesome, cause I said so and you just met me so you have no reason to believe anything but what I tell you! Cause that is how it works.
