STRENGTHS
Gravity Well Projectors
Following in the footsteps of the Interdictor II model - the Interdictor II class Military Transport maintains minimal Gravity Well Projectors; having at least two operational still installed. These are capable of pulling vessels from hyperspace through the utilization of mass shadows - which are also capable of preventing vessels from escaping into hyperspace.
Medical Facilities
Unlike its counterpart designs - the Interdictor II class Military Transport has multiple medical facilities on board for the treatment of individuals injured in the course of their duties. These facilities also contain multiple bacta tanks spread out among them for the more extreme cases.
WEAKNESSES
Dorsal and Ventral Structure
A continued design of the Interdictor II series of vessels - these super structure split the vessel into two separate halves - each of which can be difficult to defend. The proper application of excessive firepower has the potential of crippling or outright destroying these vessels if targeting at these structures.
Shuttle Reliance
While the Interdictor II class Military Transport is more in line for transporting materials, troops, vehicles and equipment - it has a heavy reliance upon its shuttles due in part to it being incapable of landing in atmosphere. If targeted, the shuttles that carry the material could otherwise prevent the vessel from offloading needed supplies or reinforcements.
DESCRIPTION
Much like its predecessor designs - the Interdictor II class Military Transport is designed for a specific function in mind - that being the transport and deployment of troops, equipment and supplies to a needed location or area of operation. To this end; much of the internal of the vessel has been removed - as is the case with the Carrier variant - with at least two of the original four gravity well projectors being removed in favor of expanding the internal space for additional cargo and ground vehicle capacity.
The removal of the gravity well projectors as well as much of the hanger bays being converted to carry only shuttles has otherwise increased the amount of passengers and cargo that the vessel is capable of carrying. Though it still retains many of the flaws of the Interdictor II series - specifically the dorsal and ventral super structures that are prevalent in the design. Though the vessel does have armaments, they are more intended for the defense of the vessel as this design variant is not intended to act as a warship and should be kept away from such frontline situations.
For the most part the Military Transport variant will likely be seen working alongside its sister variants - though its role is that of deploying the forces of the Order of the Seven Flames to the worlds below.
