Interest Check: Hunting down the Grandmaster

So my character has it out for the Raaf family excluding our own wonderful [member="Melori Raaf"] (I am sucking up hoping you will join this) I considered just keeping this for my personal character and then realized how much more fun and damage we can cause with a group. Then end goal is not only to kill Corvus Raaf, but if you haven't realized this is the Grandmaster. With her down it will be a huge blow to the Republic, a blow we can take advantage of and bring them to their knees.

Now this is no simple assassination, if it was I would just go kill her, no lets have fun. This includes killing her traitor sister, her parents and whoever else she holds dear.

In reality, who knows if she will actually be killed, but I promise to keep this fun and action packed. Also we will not be going in alone. I am currently working on a personal Echani army along with ships. These ships are special as some are built for one purpose and that is terror. Ever seen Captain Harlock and his ship with the black smoke coming from it? That is what I am aiming for and thus it will make our battlefields covered in a black fog which for theatrics people this will add to that.

First step is to locate her parents and wage war there as a distraction and kill them in the process.

Anyone interested?

Edit: Her parents are already dead. Regardless there is much more fun to be had with this. If anything the people interested can also help plan the attack, I am merely the ringmaster, I hate leadership positions and just want the fun part.

Uh, right. The first problem with that is that they're already dead and kind of the whole point to [member="Melori Raaf"] being in the One Sith to begin with.

You really ought to at least contact the person you want to assassinate before you make plans that involve them, you know. I mean, even if her parents were alive I'd like to think the decision to kill them would still be in that writer's hands since they are creations of theirs.

[member="Sena Lassiter"]

it was merely an interest check dearie, no point in contacting if no one is in. From Taeli Raaf's profile I was under the impression they were still alive. Regardless, there are many other ways to have fun with this idea.

So…a few of observations:

1. The best way to suck up to someone is not to simply allow them to join you in killing their parents. It rarely creates a great first impression #justsayin’

2. It might be worth checking with Corvus’ writer before you make a promise to others that some sort of thread has been agreed – given you 100% require Corvus to participate in a thread if you’re going to interact with her

3. In killing her sister (Taeli - the other one) you also would be better to ask her writer first

4. In killing Corvus’ parents, it would be good to find out if they’re still alive – as they’re not. It was a key story element in Melori becoming a Sith. And Taeli’s adopted parents are also dead

5. And even if they weren’t dead, Melori will oppose you in your endeavours. If anyone is to kill Corvus or Taeli – in Melori’s eyes – it would be Melori

6. And IC, the only Sith that knows Corvus and Melori are sisters is [member="Darth Venefica"]. And IC I’m not aware of any Sith other than Darth Venefica that knows Taeli and Corvus are sisters either.

1. But death brings the family together usually in graves six feet under

2. It would defiantly, but as I said above this is only an interest check and not promises of any kind. Until I know people want in then I am not going to PM Corvus because there is no point if no one wants to do anything. Plus you are Corvus so there is that.

3. I already have

4. I have never read your profile, only Corvus and Taeli and I guess I must have missed it. No worries though, others things can be done.

5. I don't have to kill her personally, Valdra just wants revenge and that could easily be done through you and setting your character up. Really this is only personal character story I thought would be fun to have faction members involved. I apologize for not reading ahead

6. Valdra has not been around Malori so ya he has no idea. Besides that he spent time around Corvus and developted a hatred for how she treated him and that memory stuck. So with that and in combination that Senses and Speed are what I have trained him in a ridiculous amount he can sense signatures and differences, much like how a scientist can look at DNA and see similarities in family. Valdra has known IC awhile about Corvus and Taeli and Taeli and I already discussed him knowing. I just personally don't write it on walls or scream it off roof tops.

Conclusion: Really I am just look for ways to provide this faction I love with things by coming up with ideas, but they seem to keep getting shot down (not for bad reasons, mind you.) If this doesn't pan out then I will just return to the drawing board and think of something else that the faction might like until I find something. I am a Sith lord and according to what I have read I am almost required to actively do something that provides for the faction in some way.

As for you Mrs. Burton, I have no intentions to have Malori be attacked or treated unfairly in anyway. This is purely my attempt, as we have talked in PMs, to get people involved and to lead things even if IC Valdra isn't a leader type.

I understand your point of view on this, but you really shouldn't be gathering people to murder someone until you've checked with said potential victim's writer first. Once you've discussed this privately with the writer in question you can go forward on this, if they are okay with it.

So, to put it into perspective, I typed out a long response but this is an abridged version...

You still haven't asked if Corvus is OK with any of this - but you have both raised expectations and also put pressure on the writer to say yes, given you've made your 'story' public. A simple PM to Corvus or Taeli could have avoided this long thread.

And given this is written as Melori, so I won't presume to respond with what Corvus might say...

But as Melori, I have a character arc coming up that I won't expose here but that makes some of what has been suggested impractical
