Hey, all! New member here. Love the concept behind this faction; it's what got me to register for the site.
I have all sorts of Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, and Stargate Universe-inspired concepts swirling around in my head for things that could happen with the fleet, but I figured I would start with a simple one to see if people are interested; I know we've already got a couple of main story threads, so I don't know how many people would be free for a side story. From a purely selfish perspective, it would give my character a chance to get to know other members of the fleet. Thematically, it would hammer home the ragtag, desperate nature of the fleet.
Here's the idea. With the arrival of the Bothan contingent, fuel supplies for the big ships are running low. That threatens to inflame tensions between the fleet's factions, all of which believe they most deserve what fuel remains. To head off disaster, someone needs to find more fuel, and there's nowhere near enough money to buy the amount needed to meet the demand. Fortunately, the fleet isn't too far from the remote Crina system, where an abandoned mining outpost on the planet Lenuta still holds many containers of rhydonium fuel.
A small salvage team could make off with enough fuel to keep the bulk cruisers running, but Lenuta is far from a blue milk run...
Anyone interested? It'd be a semi-DMed thread, with room to take it whatever direction we'd like.
