Hello small-scale fleeters and boarding party experts! Likewise, hello smugglers, small business owners, and crime lords!
Hyperion Security members are looking for some PVP action and are hoping to do it by taking a few small ships and fighting someone else with a few small ships.
Option A:
A Hyperion Mining Convoy/Heavy Freighter is on its way to deliver precious cargo either across Mandalorian space or to an SSB auction. Pirates/Crime Lords/Rival Companies have heard rumor of such a transport and are looking to take it for themselves. A group of no more than 5 ships (each of frigate size or smaller) ambush the transport/convoy and seek to disable it. Unfortunately, the pirates find that the Transport/Convoy is escorted by a group of no more than 5 ships (each frigate size or smaller) and quickly realize that they must either overpower or out-smart the escort before they can attempt to raid the resources of Mandal Hypernautics.
Option B:
Hyperion Security forces have been hired by an organization to engage in Privateering against Black Sun Smugglers, or the civilian/military freighters of one particular faction or another. At which point the above scenario happens, but with the roles reversed. The small formation of Hyperion Security ships finds that the Freighters are escorted (or that the freighters were never there and that they walked into an ambush) by a small group of light ships and that they must first beat out the opposing ships through brawn or cleverness before they can destroy/raid the freighters or just escape the ambush.
All those interested in either option, please state your interest, which option, and what role you would wish to fill.
I will be observing the fleeting and will be writing on behalf of the NPC's and fulfilling a GM role for the duration of the thread. Both to ensure fairness and prevent powergaming/jerkery. Whichever side 'wins' will receive rewards in the form of credits, ore, technology, blueprints, contracts, exc as appropriate. Rewards gained will be dictated by myself and will be based on quality of posts, cleverness of naval tactics, and general fair play.
