Interest Check: Skrimish with the Republic

Ok ok, I know everyone might be a little...tired of Republic fights, but I most request of you one more. This will not be for a planet and will be on Republic grounds. Alderaan.

First I know you are wondering why Alderaan. This skirmish is personal. I have worked hard on this character for over a year, but right after I gained Master I joined one Sith and became a Sith Lord. This gave him the impression of a transfer and we all know transfers don't get the respect like people who work to rise in a faction. so I am demoting him to Knight and to do so I need him injured to near death, Vader style.

Now all of Hakora's life changing moments have ended up on Alderaan and I don't want to stop now. I also want it to be in a duel with with his Rival Taeli Raaf so this means Alderaan and Republic.

Now, I do not want to say, "if you do this for me I will give you blah blah." I need people involved because the Sith need to witness his death including Raaf and the Jedi. I have always been a fan of the dead hiding behind a mask and shock and awe when they are revealed to be alive.n Basically he will return to the Sith under a new name as a masked cyborg assassin. Secrecy and assassins just go together to me.

So, my fellow writers, what can I do to make this more appealing to you guys and fun?

What motives would anyone have, ICly, for heading to Alderaan? Beyond it being one of our former planets, I mean.

I, for one, cannot commit to or not, as I'm currently dueling the only motivational reason to actually do any sort of fighting.

Simple, it is Ving formed and they are trying to get rid of our hard work. We have fought two wars on it, while it wouldn't be an invasion, the motive can be the same of taking back a beacon of the One Sith. A planet we fought hard to get in the first place.

Ok not simple, but that is the point of posting this. For my purpose, Alderaan is the logical choice. It was where Hakora joined the war and then it was where he first gave in to the dark side.

Basically I have planned out how I am demoting Valdra, but I need you guys to help. Sure I could just do it with no RP, but that is horrible for story. I need a reason for him to go from Lord to Knight. So being injured in battle to the point that he has to "learn to walk again" makes complete sense to me.

Not really sure what you mean. Alderaan being formerly vong formed means that we have personnel, equipment, and development on the planet. It would make a ton of sense to go to Alderaan, even if just for the sake of a cool development skirmish.

There are a load of really good writers in the Republic that perhaps are looking for something more than the competition invasion atmosphere. I would count that as quite a bit of motivation.

I'd be interested to see the objectives fleshed out a bit more, but I'm always willing to lend some muscle to a Skirmish.

I'm always up for trading blows with the pubs. However, it would be nice to see some more fleshed out general objectives and arguments for that specific planet. While Valdra/Hakora has his reasons, the OS need theirs (beside kicking butt and taking names).

Got any ideas for objectives? Maybe it can be a smash and grab to get our stuff back? That would mean Rev should join to make sure we don't mess stuff up in transfer. Besides that, I got nothing.

His reasoning is what I mean. While if the intention was to take back what was ours, it would make sense, but this seems more like a personal vendetta against a single person rather than a thought-out, planned, idea to obtain any sort of objective.

I, for one, could care less about OOC reasoning like competition and potential fun, every decision made with Silara has been for story development, and unless I have a specific reason to be there then I would have no vested interest in joining the skirmish. I'm aware there are others who make similar choices, and thus the question.

With all due respect, dear please Reread my original post. I said why I personally wanted to do this, but then ended it with asking people to help by giving a reason others would want to skrimish on Alderaan. You want a reason to get involved and Rev suggested one. I am up for whatever reason, but my reason for wanting to do this is personal, but that is only my character. I need objectives so I was asking for them. Does that make more sense?
