LFG Interest Check - The Boys style team

I've been really roleplaying a lot with my new character Tiric and I've had an idea. I just wanna put up this interest check to see how many people, or if any people might be interested.

I've been recently watching The Boys TV show and I've been thinking about having my character lead a team based on the group. A unit of the Alliance SIA's Special Operations Division, this team would be made up of exclusively non-force sensitives, with a focus on the downtrodden, the oppressed and those who've experienced loss due to the Sith.

The group's main specialties would be combating force users (sith, darksiders etc.), special threats to the Alliance, high-risk extractions (people and resources), high priority frontline, black ops and covert offensives, espionage (limited), infiltration and assassination. Morally grey and high-risk, many of their missions would be officially off the books. It'd ideally be made of up 10 non-force sensitive operatives, recruited from planets ravaged by the Maw, the Alliance Military, bounty hunters, other assorted scoundrels and formely court martialed troops (case by case). The name can be decided by the group.

The roles would consist of:

  • SIA Liason/Handler
    [*]Government Overseer

- Leader
  • Second in Command (can be in addition to another role, or not, depends on the char)
  • Tech and Computer Specialist/Communications (Slicer)
  • Medic
  • Weapons Expert/Sniper
  • Demolitionist
  • Vehicle Expert
  • Quartermaster and Supply (preferably with connections to the criminal underworld or a smuggler)
  • Impersonation Expert
  • Unarmed Combat

in addition to
- Number of force sensitive allies and informants

Feel free to hit me up on the site, or on discord at fatal.flaw#5022

Oh man, this is Right up Vyn's alley. He's a cybernetically enchanted Iridonian made under the purview of the New Imperial Order, trained in spec ops, but more specified to combat force users.

I'd say he'd either be a Weapons expert, but given the circumstances probably unarmed combat as a good secondary.

The Sith basically took Driver’s brothers away by keeping him in ice. Maybe it’s time he came out of retirement…

He’s a former y-wing pilot, was the sergeant of a small company, and has ground combat experience from his time on Kamino, so the role he can serve is flexible.

This character been on ice for a long time...want a Tech Expert?

Issac is the son of Haon Hafey, he sent Issac away years ago (About two in RL years I think) when Haons life was threatened. He been under the protection of the Galactic Alliance since, practically shown away from Haons more destructive behaviour. Plus he is somewhat more accustomed to the horror aspect. That and he has more of a Matrix "I know Kung Fu" knowledge base he can pull upon in desperate situations.

Well? He alright?

Love the Boys TV show, so glad season 3 is out. I hope we're not gonna have scenes like that first death in episode 1 though, I don't think I'd feel comfortable writing scenes like that haha. Let me know if you think my idea below would be a good fit for the group.

Ky lost his Master due to the dark side scum, has been living life as an espionage-agent-for-hire and isn't widely known for being a FS even among those who are aware of his reputation. He could potentially be recruited as an ally for his infiltration/espionage skills at first and then have awkwardness ensue when his force abilities come into play as he's not officially a jedi or member of any order. Force sensitives working with people who've lost so much to force users coming to terms with working together could be an interesting RP angle.

I am very, very interested in this. I have a GA Marine/Commando type I'm working on, though he might be a bit too black-and-white/straight and narrow to fit the morally grey vibe you mention? Or perhaps that in itself would be an interesting dynamic between him and the missions intended for this group. Either way I'm willing to adjust as needed!

Combat specialisation I'm happy to work up a concept for any role, though for now I'm thinking heavy weapons guy/demolitionist.
