PREMISE:
Almost one-thousand years ago, in the decades leading up to the Star War known as, 'THE CLONE WARS', a secret, clandestine event was held annually somewhere in the Carrion Sector. Colloquially known to attendees as, 'THE HUNTER'S MOON', invitees from across the Galaxy gathered on the lesser known moon of Sojourn in an event dubbed, 'THE GATHERING', where they discussed galactic politics; made arrangements such as business dealings; or engaged in the criminal underworld through acts of assassination, murder or espionage. Concealed by the power of the Dark side of the Force, in a time when the GALACTIC REPUBLIC had enjoyed centuries of peace, and prosperity under the protectful watch of the JEDI ORDER, dignitaries from an assortment of conglomerates, representatives from the Galactic Senate, or criminals from an array of professions were brought together secretly to serve their part in a galactic conspiracy that would later pave the way for the ascension of the GALACTIC EMPIRE.
Fifty-years ago, when the Ninth Sith Empire ruled the Galaxy (referred to by most as 'THE ONE SITH') after the successful invasion and subsequent annexation of the Old Republic, a minor Sith Lord called
Darth Ayra
revived the practise of The Gathering and constructed The Fort to serve as a venue for the secret event where important dignitaries and influential figures of the day were invited to affect business practices, galactic politics or engage with the criminal elite in complete secrecy. After her disappearance in 851 ABY, the event consequentially ended in practice until
Alicia Drey
announced the First Convocation of Sojourn at the turn of the ninth-century where feelers were sent out to a multitude of influential, or minor figures primarily positioned in esteemed galactic business corporations, or the modern day Sith Order.Hosted by the late SERJ SULARIS, under the auspices of an auction of paraphernalia, technology and business, the first convocation raised more than 50,000,000 million GCS while a proposition to form a new galactic conglomerate between the attending invitees to rival the Trade Federation of Planets was made to dignitaries representing House Mecetti Nationalized Industries, Arceneau Trading Company, Helix Solutions, Aurora Industries or the Tsis'Kaar. Negotiations between the former Director of the New Imperial Security Bureau secured the involvement of House Mecetti in the initial proposal made during the event but subsequent discussions between Drey and the other attendees of the convocation about their involvement in such a conglomerate ended following the Sith attack on the then Imperial occupied world of Tion and the subsequent court martial held on Lianna where the Director was accused of acts of sedition, and treason against the Empire of the Lost. Some weeks later Drey was discovered as a murder victim in her apartment in Lianna City and so the proposal was, quite literally, 'killed off'.
For the second consecutive year feelers have once more been sent out across the Galaxy to powerful, influential members in places of business, commerce, politics and enterprise-- legitimate, or criminal in nature-- including the heroes or villains of the current day superpowers, newly rising stars or start-ups following the recent collapse of the Dark Empire and Empire of the Lost, or other potential prospective clientele wishing to make their mark on the galactic stage. Hosted within the same venue colloquially known as The Fort, guests are expected to participate in new format of three consecutive days and nights where fresh new proposals, and brand new agendas will be delivered to new attendees of the, 'SECOND CONVOCATION OF SOJOURN'.
DAY ONE, NIGHT ONE:
FORMATION OF THE INTERGALACTIC SPACING GUILD
Reviving the initial themes and topics initially discussed in the first convocation, influential figures within the business world representing already established places of commerce, trade and excellence are invited to day one, night one of the second Convocation of Sojourn to discuss the formation of a brand new galactic conglomerate dubbed, 'THE INTERGALACTIC SPACING GUILD' set to rival the powerhouse of trade in the form of the Trade Federation of Planets. Previous attendees and representatives of House Mecetti Nationalized Industries, Arceneau Trading Company, Helix Solutions, Aurora Industries or the Tsis'Kaar are hereby welcomed back to the Hunter's Moon to begin a second round of negotiations, and fresh proposals to secure their membership of this new conglomerate while prospective, potential fresh candidates are welcome to petition themselves to join this brand new venture.FORMATION OF THE INTERGALACTIC SPACING GUILD
THE AGENDA:
- Creation of the Board of Directors where investment, shares and subsequent stakes will be fleshed out in a contract agreement between all prospective parties interested in this new joint business venture.
- Establishment of clear goals and ideas in commerce, trade or markets with a key empathise in the cornering of the Fuel trade and astronomical navigation plotting new or pre-established trade routes along hyperlanes for prospective clientele and business partners.
- Establishing a rival to the Trade Federation of Planets and their monopoly on several markets in trade, commerce and their political or economic influence in the current day galactic superpowers based on their subsequent involvement in the economic collapse of the Empire of the Lost following their trade embargo and classification of this former power previously found within the realms of the Old Tion Hegemony.
DAY TWO, NIGHT TWO:
RELATIONS BETWEEN THE IMPERIAL SECTOR AUTHORITY, AND RISEN EMPIRE
Following the events of the Sartinaynian Crisis, the Imperial Remnants formerly known as The Dark Empire, and The Empire of the Lost have left behind a large power vacuum across the Galaxy after their collapse and subsequent dissolvement as galactic superpowers. However, in the wake of such destruction, the tenants of the New Order continue to live on in the form of the Imperial Sector Authority and the Risen Empire. Dignitaries and representatives of these two new Imperial Remnants are invited to the second day, and night of the second Convocation of Sojourn to arrange or discuss matters of politics, commerce and trade between these two budding factions.RELATIONS BETWEEN THE IMPERIAL SECTOR AUTHORITY, AND RISEN EMPIRE
THE AGENDA:
- The introduction of the ISA and RE between representatives of both factions to establish brand new ties and connections between these two Imperial Remnants.
- A discussion of commerce, and trade between both sides to establish a portfolio of technology, products, supplies or services both sides can contribute to each other.
- Creation of a treaty detailing a Non-Aggression Pact between the ISA and RE with an agreement to later revisit the agreement to discuss a longer term alliance, and partnership based upon review of relations during the months ahead.
DAY THREE, NIGHT THREE:
THE CRIMINAL UNDERWORLD
Representatives of the rising Hutt Cartel are invited to the Second Convocation of Sojourn to meet with the Dark Lord of the Sith to discuss the proposal made to the newly formed Chantin Crime Family during their gathering in The Dancing Bantha some weeks ago regarding the Spice Mines of Kessel and the spice trade following the Imperial pull-out from the Kessel sector. Other potential clientele or customers based among the vast number of prospective criminal operations and their markets hosted in the criminal underworld have also received feelers about attending the event to mingle in neutral territory and among individuals that you usually do not see with each other in public including the arrangement of fresh bounty hunter contracts to track down and assassinate members of a conspiracy located on the planet Lianna.THE CRIMINAL UNDERWORLD
THE AGENDA:
- Arranging the hostile takeover of the Spice Mines of Kessel and the spice trade following the collapse of the Imperial Remnant who had occupied Kessel sector at the turn of the new century.
- Establishing permanent relations between the Dark Lord of the Sith and the newly risen Chantin Crime Family who have paved the way for a resurgent Hutt Cartel in the new age.
- Bounty Hunter contracts for members of the Fifth Wing: a seditious, treasonous organisation founded in the recently collapsed Empire of the Lost, and rumoured to be the chief architects of it's demise.
OOC: If the aforementioned day/nights interest you then please comment below. With enough interest I will create a list of invitees and launch a thread with the respective day/night outlined above with an empathise of pursuing the agendas as they are written out. Rather than this being one giant cluster in one thread each day/night will have their own respective thread so that those involved do not become lost in the sauce. Also, unlike the first convocation (where I only allowed five guests to attend last year) everyone interested in participating will be welcomed into the fray if a particular day/night interests you. I hope to make this an annual event on Chaos during the Easter holidays for the foreseeable future.
For in-character context the Second Convocation of Sojourn takes place in 902 ABY and is hosted in the wake of the recent collapse of two galactic superpowers who dissolved following their respective participations in the Core Wars and Rim Wars of that same year which later saw the formation and/or subsequent dissolvement of three factions called the Dark Empire, Empire of the Lost and The Tingel Arm Coalition while seeing the rise of a new power in the form of The Diarchy despite the attack on Bastion which saw both of the recently dissolved Imperial Remnants participate in the catastrophic Sartinaynian Crisis.
