Into the Darkness

Rianna walked onto the dark planet her ship the Morning Star rested quietly behind her. The tufts of steam from valves releasing slowly rose up from around the ship. Rianna’s dark eyes scanned the horizon she looked for whatever movement there could be and saw nothing.

She took a few more steps, this place it felt sick barren had plague taken it so quickly or was this the natural state of it. Rianna kneeled down grabbing up some of the dirt, it crumbled in her hand like dust. Reports stated there was a small village down along a path from her landing zone.

Making sure she had her medical bag, and light saber Rianna headed down the path towards that very village. She was here to help the call had come and as always she answered. She did not ask anyone to come this time she felt she could handle it all alone.

As she walked she looked up at the sky strange how the streaks of white, blue and gray streaked across giving this world that chilled feeling, if there had been sun to warm the earth she felt for sure that sickness would slowly withdraw. Sun and diet cured more things that the galaxy was willing to admit.

Something however was tickling the back of her mind that she could not put her finger on someone or something, she did not know it was elusive still and yet she knew it was there.

She did not focus on where yet, it felt distant, but it was approaching.

Unbeknown to [member="Rianna Ar'klim"], the planet did not suffer a sickness or a plague in the...traditional sense. The affliction that had settled upon the planet's surface was not one that would so quickly be soothed or abated by a few flowers and sunshine. Even from the distance which presently separated them, the Sith Lord could feel the Jedi Master's eternal hopelessness. For a brief moment, he permitted himself a stifled laugh.

Exiting one of the remaining...uncleansed...homes in the village, Cameron briefly adjusted the flowing fabric of his dark blue and gray cloak. The cloak and his exposed upper torso were both stained with the dry and fresh blood of multiple victims...an entire village worth. The plea for help had, of course, been genuine. Ordinarily, Cameron did not give his prey enough time to truly recognize what was happening, let alone call for help. This time, however, he'd had to perfectly time both his arrival and the planet's proximity to Rianna's location.

The history between himself and the Jedi Master was...well almost as extensive as it got between him and a Jedi. [member="Kiskla Grayson"] was undoubtedly the one exception. [member="Amorella Mae"], though not actually a Jedi, also surpassed his number of interactions with Rianna. His presence within this village was merely...the fulfillment of a promise. The Sith Lord had promised the Jedi that she would one day pay for her lack of...assistance, compliance in his time of need. Cameron Centurion neither made idle threats nor failed to keep promises.

The only plague on this planet was that of Darth Ashmedai. In the time since the 'assistance call', the Sith Lord had spilled the blood of nearly every living organism on the planet. The chilling feel of the planet's aura was because the planet was nearly completely devoid of life. The strength of the dark side had swept firmly across the surface of the planet. Death and fear had empowered the Sith Lord, his silver-green eyes burning brighter than ever.

Casting his gaze back in the direction he sensed Rianna approaching from, the Sith Lord lifted his hands to the sky. Instantly, an unnatural storm began to expand and roll out in all directions. Harsh rains and hail began to fall as lightning illuminated the darkened sky at random, brilliant intervals. To the trained observer, it would be clear that the early stages of a deadly Force Storm was beginning to develop over a large swath of the planet's surface.

There would be no escape for the Jedi, and the planet itself would be as dead as its savior before very long.

There was a storm brewing. Rianna turned her gaze the skies above ripples in the force told her that this was no ordinary storm. Edee loped down the ramp she began to growl. Rianna reached over without looking and scratched behind her ears.

“I know, I feel it. Someone is here, but who?” She had made enemies along the way even healers couldn’t make everyone happy all the time.

Rianna slowly walked towards the village, she felt strangely apprehensive as she walked. Who was here, was it [member="Kassandra Distorith"] , or perhaps [member="Malice Draclau"] it could even be [member="Cameron Centurion"]

Rianna did not give a moments thought to turning back she would see who this was, and what their intent was. Had they started this disease and could they stop it. If they could, what was the cost.

Rianna walked the path behind her as the wind blew her steps disappeared, Edee ever mindful of her Master stayed close by. Rianna would meet the mystery
