Kat let her fingers comb through her hair as she sat at her desk and thought long and hard about the tasks of the day. She had been unsure of the tasks that she needed to get done, some involved paperwork and her headspace was just not embracing the need to write or comprehend the list of tasks and patient files that she had to scroll through. Days like these were the worst for her as she felt only slightly braindead and in desperate need of someone to take over the tasks for her. Leaning back in her chair, she closed her eyes and rubbed her temples, she was not going to suffer a stress migraine if she could help it. Especially over something so trivia, at least it would be trivia on some days, today it felt like a mountain to climb. Perhaps a break, a stroll around, talking to herself about the work would alleviate some of the issues. It sounded a little crazy, especially if others heard her talking to herself but the process allowed her to break down the necessary tasks and simplify everything. Make it simple, achieve small tasks, get the work done. That was always how she worked and for now it was effective.
Wandering the Temple hallways with a caf in hand, Kat mumbled over the different goals and numbers. Crunching through the tasks as effectively as she could. What was needed for each case and how to break up the day's tasks. Taking a long sip of the second caf she had that morning, Kat was sure she had forgotten something that had been arranged for the day. Some task or job that she had been given but her mind couldn't think past the mental block of just something being laid on the side. It wasn't till her datapad beeped an alert at her that it triggered the memory of agreeing to meet with a new Jedi Padawan. An older student who had a history in the medical field. Kat groaned at how forgetful she could have been with such an important meeting that was building connections and inspiring Padawans, it was no good being late and making sure a poor first impression. She was just thankful that she had set an alert in case she overran or simply forgot like she had.
Rushing around the hallways, Kat made sure to finish the caf and dump it in a bin. Arriving at the meeting room, she smoothed her robes, combed her hair to not look so frazzled and entered the room. Breathing calmly, she didn't want to let the new Padawan know that she had been so forgetful or scattered brain about the whole meeting. It was bad enough to appear that way to her superiors. No, Kat went in with a polite smile and welcoming presence.
"Hey, sorry for the wait. Kat Decoria, I'm a Force Healer. Was going over paperwork and lost track of time it seems." Kat was honest but didn't drop in her confidence, "I read that you are new to the Force? How are you feeling about it all?" It can be daunting joining the Temple at a later age, Kat had been an adult when discovering her Force powers and it was not always the easiest, especially being around others more skilled yet much younger.
