Invasion of Kashyyyk - The After Party

Qun didn't really know what to expect when he drunkely signed up to go to for drinks and hologames with a Jedi Master, but this . . . certainly was not it. [member="Talon Vosra"]'s house at Rhen Var was small almost the size of an academy dorm room, and just about as clean. There were litters of what appeared to be Jedi notes and holocrons scattered about. Space heater tucked away in the corner. A small conservator in another. Small holo-screen on a side of a wall hooked up to all the latest gaming systems. Game chips were scattered around the systems, while ancient technologies from long dead civilizations could be found around the room. Furthermore it seemed the 'house', if it could truly be called that, was the ruins of some former temple. It seemed they had been found by a hermit of sorts. Not that Qun minded. Between the conservator being stocked with drinks and him finding "Galaxy on the Warfront Four" amidst his games he was content to pop open a bottle and plug up the shooter.

"Real nice of you to offer us over Mr. Vosra." Qun said, not drunk yet. "You wanna play a match with me and Spark?" He asked, roping his kinda-friend [member="Spark Finn"] into the game without really asking her. She was a slicer, and a mechu-deru expert. Chances were she could own his tail at any game on the shelf- err, floor. And if she couldn't? He'd probably be insulting more and more as the night went on and he his BAC went higher and higher.

Talon dropped onto the properly worn couch beside the young besalisk. His glass filled with namana fruit juice, a secret love of his, and crossed his legs like a kid.

"It's just Talon. Mr. Vosra was my father and master Vosra is on the other side of the front door." Talon said taking a sip of his juice and setting in of the caf table. "Ok but after we've had a few drinks we should try galaxy dance four...you haven't laughed until you try that tipsy."

A bell dinged on his cooker and he hopped up to go grab the food, spicy nuna wings and Ladarran nachos. He set them on the caf table and resumed his seat before grabbing a controller and passing the others out as if they weren't ever anything but new friends gathered to goof off.

She slurped happily from the McYoda's chocolate milkshake. Qun happened to put something else in there when they got to the jedi's place....something called Wryn's Reserve. The stuff burned her throat a little and had a kick. It also was making the tip of her freckly-nose tingly.

And it made her more giggly for some reason.

The very confused once-jedi padawan plopped down next to Talon. "Okay just Talon," she snickered and took another slurp. Even with the tainted milkshake, she already picked up a connection to all the technology in the green-eyed man's room.

Oh yeah, these nerf-herders were going to lose hard. Core.

She took a controller and the system seemed to turn on of its own accord.

"Dancing?" Sandy-brows rose. "I will definitely need more of what I'm not allowed to have according to the age on my pilot's license."

She snorted and then shot Talon a studious-look. "Do have people like us over a lot?"

Qun laughed at the mention of galaxy dance four. He was just picturing the three of them boogeying down and it made him happy for some reason.

"That can be arranged." Qun said as he pulled out a flask and poured a little more of Wyrn's Reserve into Spark's McYoda chocolate milkshake. After he did so he realized that the game system and the holoscreen had turned on. Odd. He didn't remember them being turned on. While the game started up Qun used the downtime to grab a couple spicy nuna wings and scarf them down. He was soon greeted with a strong burning sensation in his mouth. Taking his drink he poured it into his mouth, soon realizing that the burning sensation in his mouth wasn't replaced, just aided by a burning sensation in his throat. The besalisks eyes began to water a little.

"I don't like the Dantooine map on this one. Can we do the Coruscant underworld?" He asked as they went through setting up a match, picking weapons, maps, win conditions, and all that fun stuff.

Talon stifled a laugh at the two young people.

"I don't have people like me over." He let a chuckle out, "but you know what they say....sith happens."

They sure didn't seem much like sith to him. He picked up some wings and chomped them down, meat eating plant watch out galaxy, and waited for the game to load. He didn't acactually remember turning the game on either but he was pretty sure that didn't make a ton of difference. The girl felt odd almost like a cyborg in the force. He would have to keep that in mind later.

"Coruscant is fine with me." he said taking a drink of namana juice already his head felt a lighter than before. "I am so gonna cream you two. I have actually shot a blaster before."

He picked up his controller and got his gear picked and changed his colors to green, go figure, and picked the sniper/shotgun package and waited for the others to join.

She held the controller loosely in one hand. She picked the white-wookie character but no buttons were pressed on the remote. Her other hand held a red-twizzler string as she chewed down from the top. 'Secret' weapons seemed to unlock even before necessary coins and levels were reached. The wookie's power levels were slightly boosted as cheat codes were technopathed invisibly through gentle nudges through the force.

She took another bite of the twizzler string as her set-up was complete. Her small, fox-like grinned wavered. The Coruscant level of the game seemed familiar and she could feel the smallest of headaches coming on. Perhaps that chocolate not-quite a shake had been a bad idea.

Qun's alcoholic breath snapped her back to the present.

"A blaster, huh? I've shot one too," she frowned as if plucking memories that weren't there, "at least, I think. Maybe a long time ago."

Come back to me.

Darth Carach's voice whispered in the back of her mind like the soft sound of rustling leaves.

Gray-blue eyes twitched beneath glasses as her fingers came up to pinch the bridge of her nose.

Qun let out a big laugh at the 'sith happens' pun. Wasn't he a Sith though? He thought he was, but aside from Spark and Carach Qun didn't really feel like he fit in in the One Sith. As Qun's underage companion shifted through the characters picking her wookiee without so much as lifting a finger, literally, Qun was flipping through characters trying to find what he was going to play. Much to his displeasure he couldn't find any Besalisk character models.

"You guys have fired blashtahs? I don't remember ever doing that." Qun said, not mentioning that he only really remembered about half of what he actually did. Joystick moved and buttons pressed as Qun finally settled on a rodian with a disruptor rifle. Sniping time, hopefully anyways.

"This is so unrealistic." Qun complained. "I should be able to hold another rifle." He said as he noticed his blonde friend twitching a bit. Qun put up a small frown as he clicked that he was ready to start the match and they plunged into the underbelly of Coruscant, where Qun realized that this map really wasn't conducive to sniping.

"Got me again." Qun said as he waited a few seconds to respawn.
