Invasion Of Manaan - Objective 2 - Rob the Kolto

dzlxpl6l64wpa24fg.jpg
Well guys and girls. It begins again.

M A N A A N

TERMS

No allies
  • This means that writers participating in the invasion of Manaan must belong to either The One Sith faction, or The Galactic Republic faction. (ie. The Republic cannot contract sign-ups from The Protectorate and visa versa).

One character per writer (regardless of side)
  • That spans for both factions. If someone is writing as a Sith, they are writing as a member of the One Sith for the invasion of Manaan.

Fleet Size Limited between 500-8000m total

Giant Beast Restrictions
  • Limit giant beasts to two, and to mandate a five-post-deployment for them on-planet so they don't just insta-appear.
  • These beasts have Locations / Objectives / etc titled for organizational purposes within the character posts (or separate, as per writer's choice)
  • Failure to comply with the above regulations means forfeiture of the right to use the creature in battle.

3 Week Time Limit
  • The Invasion will end 3 weeks from the start date and a victor will be determined at this time.

Use this thread to maneuver and discuss how to secure and rob the kolto.

We will assign [member="Darth Praelior"] as the Voice in leading the event if there are any questions.

As always and for first timers, make sure you tag locations/objectives and all team members/opponents. It is not written but is a nicety to link all equipment in first posts you are using as well. Go forth and have fun above all else and remember we have so many pretty things from vehicles, sithspawn, vong and weapons to just some of the more skilled and specialized sith so welcome and this is only a base outline follow the one sith mandate and adapt to survive the situation. If it changes the objectives or goals might shift at any time.

Ah thank you and one of our goals for fun is to capture the progenitor. So sithspawnification or to possibly try and clone to spread the kolto as some believe it is the source. Maybe on some other worlds to give us more of a monopoly... never know could happen.

Only destroy as the last possible outcome

[member="Lisa Ticon"] well that depends on what there is. If the kolto area is heavily fortified then possible. If it barely has any defenders we can just walk in. We'll adapt to the situation and use what is needed. We have some special gear and things awaiting approval and if they are good by the time we might have a few other methods of insertion

Since Selka couldn't be publicly One Sith, my plan is to stage an 'evacuation' of Silk's kolto assets and stockpiles while you're doing your thing. If anyone wants to help me 'just barely escape from you with the kolto,' I'm down.

[member="Darth Isolda"] - thoughts?

Love it.

[member="Darth Praelior"] as you lead this, thoughts?

Do we have orbital drop capabilities?

I can drop in with a platoon of soldiers and make an LZ. Then we can land more forces and just swamp the place.

[member="Darth Isolda"] my thoughts are use everything we have and if [member="Selka Ventus"] is providing a way in then we have a chance to take it and strike a blow more efficiently. To save our strength for turning the tables. Any bases down below the surface for kolto if they are could be "hacked" and defenes turned on republic soldiers inside, we do have a slicer and an AI who decided to join us in @Serenity. (or at least is really close with our thread) We'll adapt to the situation and survive then take them out.

If a way in is what you need, Silk was founded by some fairly anti-Sith people, Selka isn't publicly Sith, and Silk does a ton of shipping to and from the kolto refineries. If you keep your numbers low, stowing away in Silk transports is absolutely something you could do, and when you arrive and do your thing, Silk will freak out and start evacuating kolto etc. At that point, all you have to do is make the getaway look convincing, and the kolto cargoes get...reallocated...later. Just one thought

'Lightly toasts' another planet. 'Lightly toasts.' And it was only two of them.

And yeah, having a Master-level mentalist along for the potential heist portion would be...immensely useful. Looking forward to our final form as per [member="Darth Praelior"].

Ok now I understand. So whats the Rules of Engagement? Can Lisa just start murking people to make it seem like Silk transports are under attack and then give them a reason to start evacuating?

Im thinking drop off the transport into the water and swim to the platform with a partner or two. My special skills are Sniping and Telekenisis, which is my Speciality. I'll need a partner whose solid with a blade, in case the Jedi come a swooping in.
