I am slightly out of touch with most factions atm so I just thought I'd ask.

Is anyone planning any? Is there any talk among factions? Most importantly, can I help?

I can't tell you about the plans all the factions have but we're in a bit of a lull right now as a lot of factions are working on their doms, we'll probably see a round of invasions in the next few months. You can either come in as an independent agent, or join one of the major factions, we all tend to jump in to help one another as the invasions happen, so a lot depends on which side you want to be on there

Its also worth noting that, while this is by no means the case for everyone, often the middle of the academic semester can be a slow time as far as large scale organized PvP on Chaos. Usually at the beginning of summer and around winter break somebody decides to waaagh over something.
