Hutta - the homeworld of the Hutts and a real mess of a planet. Gas emissions was only one of the many factors which contributed to its smell - perhaps the Hutts were a contributing factor too. Mathieu had come to believe that many of the slug-like species were in fact decent beings. At the very least, he had a hard time judging them all based on a few rotten examples which he had seen over the years and he would rather hope that they were morally good than morally bankrupt. His presence on Hutta, however, was because of one of the more rotten examples.

Pereema the Hutt, a crimelord who had seemingly gone into honest business since the inclusion of Hutta and Nar Shaddaa into the Silver Sphere had recently caused a lot of trouble. During a recent feast with talented and influential individuals from all across the galaxy in attendance, it was not the top shift, Pereema's reputation didn't reach that far. But they were certainly valued among their work colleagues, friends and family. Rumour has it that a well known Jedi investigator discovered a credit laundering operation during her attendance of the feast. Something which lead to disaster. While uncorroborated, it is believed that she, in a panic, had her guards attack her own guests, killing some and capturing others. These charges have, of course, been denied vehemently by Pereema the Hutt. So far, the Concord had been pressing the Hutt for access to her palace for further investigation but with a high degree of autonomy, she had been able to resist their attempts.

Mathieu, still a Padawan, had little authority to investigate the matter himself. In fact, he had a strong belief that his superiors would discourage him from doing anything at all if they knew what his intentions were. But this time, he simply couldn't sit by idly as the Jedi investigator was being held captive. She had taught him much during his time with the Silver Jedi Order and rushing to her rescue was the least he could do for her.

Grimacing from the powerful stench, Mathieu started to make his way from the spaceport towards the palace. He was clad in his heavy armour, but had gone in without his robes, knowing that it would reveal the fact that he was a Jedi rather quickly - and considering the circumstances, that could also reveal the reason for his presence. This was also the reason that he brought his stun baton and blaster pistol in addition to his lightsabres. In a way, this all reminded him of his days as a mercenary, but even then, the closest he had been to Hutta was Nar Shaddaa.

Not far from the spaceport, mingling among the locals, outside of Pereema the Hutt's stronghold, stood a cloaked individual, watching people go in and out of the front entrance for the last half an hour. Pale white skin, faded dark tattoos on her face, the Nightsister had tried to figure out a way to get into the stronghold. It wasn't a problem for her to get in with her magick, the problem lied in the fact that she had never been into the stronghold, so she had no idea what kind of opposition she would meet and if she would even be able to find her clan member.

Of the few planets, Nezira had been by now, this was by far the worse, especially the smell. However, the Clan Mother asked Nezira to find their missing sister, since she hasn't reported back. Watching the locals, everyone looked as if danger waited around every corner of this city and who could blame them? Not far from where Nezira stood, a firefight had broken out, only for Pereema the Hutt's goons to break it up.

What Nezira needed, was a way to get inside without alerting everyone inside of the fortress. One way was invisibility potion, but doing the day it wasn't as effective as doing night, which the Nightsister kind of regretted not doing this at. Then again, she didn't know how much time her sister had inside of the fortress.

Nevertheless, she decided to just go for it, teleport into the fortress and take it from there. Looking around herself and quickly came to the conclusion that there were way too many people around her, without risking someone telling Pereema. Instead, she started to move closer, only to accidentally bump into a very large, broad-shouldered Jedi in disguise. While Nezira didn't do much in terms of push Mathieu, bumping into the man, was enough to take Nezira off-guard and land on her bum.

As she landed on her bum, her hood fell back, revealing her Dathomirian features, not to mention, her Nightsister red and black outfits behind her cloak. Releasing a short low "oopf" when she landed on her bum, the girl was quick as a spider and pulled her hood over her head again, following by scrambling to her feet.

With a short look over, she immediately felt his connection to the force, the same kind she felt from Cas, whenever she was with him or when he used the force. Before Mathieu had a chance to say much to her, Nezira quickly turned around on her heel and headed for Pereema's fortress.

Crossing his arms with one hand supporting his chin, Mathieu entered deep thought as he considered how to get in. He felt something light brush against his back but didn't think much of it until he heard a little "oopf" from down below. Quickly turning around to see what it came from, he saw a girl with a slight build who had fallen down onto the pavement behind him. He immediately looked rather sorry as he bent forth and started to stretch out an arm to help her get back up again - but she was quickly getting up on her own.

"I'm sorry" he said, right before she turned around, once more heading towards the palace. The gears in his head spun as he reflected over what he had just seen. Was that a real life Nightsister? He had heard stories about them, seen a picture or two of them on the holonet - and she looked just like one. She had not got far away from him when he asked a curious "You don't really belong here, do you?" he had spent enough time around crimelords and other suspect people during his time as a Mercenary to know that people like here rarely belonged in those places - and whenever they did, there was something evil about them - but this one did not seem evil.

Mathieu waited for the girl to turn around before taking a step closer. "I used to work a places like these." he said, nodding towards the Palace she was heading towards "And I don't think you're one of Pereema's people" Pausing for a moment, he kept studying her, curious about why she was there "So why are you walking towards it? Surely, you must've heard the rumours of what she did recently. Not a great place to be at, y'know?" he said, thinking a little further until he realised that he might be onto something "Or, is that actually the reason that you're here? Because of what she did on that feast?"

The stranger seemed to follow her, which only made the girl walk with a faster pace, which didn't really seem to work. She thought about teleporting now, but the stranger could work for Peremma, which only mean that she was already discovered and her sister was in grave danger! Just as Nezira was about to bamf away and into the fortress, the stranger spoke, stopping the girl right as she casted her portal.

What Mathieu saw, was how out of the thin air, a circular shaped portal opened before the Nightsister. With luminous green-coloured edge, merged with the pitch-black mass that was everything else within the green circle. It emanated a robust dark side aura as if he stared right into the dark side of the force itself. Repeating the sentence the stranger spoke in her mind, "or, is that actually the reason that you're here? Because of what she did on that feast?" made her realize this was an outsider like her from Pereema's forces.

Turning around, the girl looked at the stranger, but instead of pupils, Mathieu saw bright glowing green illuminating thick fog and mist, covered both eyes completely. It looked as if something had fully devoured the girl's eyes as she also radiated of the Dark Side of the Force. Within seconds after Nezira turned around to face Mathieu, so disappeared the portal behind her and the fog and mist around her eyes. Not only that but the Dark Side of the Force emanating from her, also diminished considerably enough that Mathieu had to actually focus on her to feel the Dark Side.

Looking Mathieu over, with cautious eyes. "You are a Jedi, are you not?" Asked Nezira out of the blue, answering all of his questions with a question of her own. Thankfully they were hidden behind many tents, spread out around the area, where a lot of trading happened.

And then, she opened a portal. The woman opened a portal. His eyebrows quenched together as dark side energy emanated from it, causing him to grow very suspicious. If Pereema was having someone like her around - it would certainly be a sinister dark sider and this one seemed to have mastered those arts. Still, he wanted to see what it was all about first - but if worst came to worst, there was a risk that he would need to apprehend the woman and return to Pereema's Palace another time.

Her pupils were all strange but Mathieu stayed his ground. His hand was already close to his belt where his lightsabre hung so it didn't need to be moved. Instead, he just looked at her, ready to act if she attacked. But in the end, she did not attack. Instead, she asked if he was a Jedi. "I am" he said, maintaining a calm tone before nodding to the Palace behind her "An old instructor of mine was at Pereema's feast. I'm here to save her." He was going out on a limb, risking telling it to someone who was actually working for Pereema. But he didn't feel like he was in danger and he had long since learned to trust in the force.

In truth, he didn't know whether the Jedi Investigator was alive or not. Even though he was hopeful, something within him made him concerned. He could not yet feel her presence in the force which was the primary reason for why he was worried. But he had to look - after all that the Investigator had taught him, this was the least he could do to pay them back. If the woman was honest about her intents, he would reach his hand out for her to shake and present himself "Mathieu Brion. Padawan of the Silver Jedi Order."

Nezira Viresh Nezira Viresh

Nezira glanced a brief moment up at the imposing palace not long from where they stood, yet never fully moved her attention from Mathieu. Looking back at the Jedi Padawan as he introduced himself, the Nightsister girl glanced at his presenting handshake like it was a foreign concept to her. Maybe she was just not comfortable taking his hand, or a whole 'nother thing. Nevertheless, she glanced down at his presenting hand and then looked back up at him, "Nezira" introduced the girl herself as.

"I'm here to find one of my sisters in Pereema's fortress" explained Nezira and realized that with the Jedi, she might have a better chance than doing things alone. Cas was always helpsome to her and tended to do things out of the goodness of his heart, then again the dark-skinned Jedi also often ended having things go south real quick. Nezira looked over Mathieu as if she was checking him out, yet in truth, she was just trying to gather what kind of Jedi he was.

By the main street, two of Pereema's goons stopped by the entrance to the back alley-type area and looked down at Mathieu and Nezira. Standing behind Mathieu, Nezira let the Ichor flow freely through her, flaring the dark side as she expected a fight with her the two goons. However, a fight broke out not far from the goons, taking the attention, leaving Mathieu and Nezira alone.

Extinguishing her magick, the dark side almost disappearing completely from her. "Let's go" stated the girl, opening yet another portal again as easy as breathing and looked at Mathieu again expectedly as if they had agreed to go by a portal. "Are you coming?" Asked Nezira nonchalant, standing by open dark side emanating portal to the netherworld.

If Mathieu went through the portal, he would for just a brief moment find himself in the netherworld, a world echoing that of Nal Hutta, but twisted and alienating. It was a maelstrom of the dark side with patches of the light side of the force faintly in the distance. It was overwhelming, to say the least. A monstrous version of Nal Hutta animals floated in the distance, spirits flowing freely searching for something or someone.

The portal behind him was gone and a few metres from Mathieu, Nezira stood by another portal, leading back into the world of the living and the palace of Pereema the Hutt.

Nezira would lead Mathieu through the other portal, which would find themself in a hallway, alone but with chatter down the right side of the hallway out of view.

Mathieu didn't think much of it. He simply allowed his hand to drop down to his side because he saw no ill intent behind her actions. There were no signs that she refrained from shaking his hand because she lacked respect but rather some form of ignorance. "Nice to meet you" he said, offering a slight smile.

"It seems like we have something in common. Maybe we can help each other out" he offered, trying to keep up the friendly relations that they had been able to maintain so far. Her next move surprised him as her ichor once more flared up, oozing of the dark side. A frown grew on his face but even then, Mathieu decided to give her the benefit of a doubt and looked to see if someone was behind him. And just as it were, he spotted the two goons just as they turned around, distracted by the fight in the streets. "Nice going" he said whilst producing a thumbs-up.

Soon, she created a portal. Stepping through it carefully, he find himself momentarily brought into a dystopian and dark realm. In there, he was the light in the darkness and spent a substantial amount of stamina keeping it at bay. He would not allow himself to be overwhelmed and started to glow in a bright light. It only lasted for a few moments as he was soon lead out of there by the Nightsister. It had worn on him to the point where he took support from a nearby wall once they got out. "Not again" he whispered breathlessly, hoping to avoid using the same method to get back out again.

The former Mercenary was in excellent physical shape and did not need much time to recover. Soon, he seemed to be back to full strength and started to reach out with his senses. "I sense her. But it's faint" he whispered, recognising the force signature of his former instructor. "This way" he said, assuming that her Nezira's sister would be kept in the same area. Mathieu knew numerous relatively advanced stealth techniques but decided to refrain from them for now, not knowing how her capacities were and content with trying to improve his non-force reliant techniques too.

Moving towards the hallway, he waited for a bit before peering to the right. Just as luck would have it, the two quartet of guards were looking the other way. The Jedi kept observing them for a few moments before deciding that they were unlikely to turn around all of a sudden. It looked as safe as it would get, and with that, he signalled for Nezira to move out.

Quietly, the large Padawan sneaked up the corridor to the left until they reached an intersection guarded by a trio of guards, two Twi'leks and one Gamorrean. Using his arms and mouthing words, Mathieu tried to convey that they needed to take the stairs up to the left.

Following the broad-shouldered Padawan through the long hallway, Nezira was rather surprised by how few guards they saw. She kept quiet, but took mental notes of her surroundings for if she had to return another time.

The girl had no problem sneaking by them and refrained from fighting as that could put her Sister in danger. However, the moment they both made it past the trio of guards and through the intersection, Nezira flared her magick, letting the Ichor flow through her body and surround her with the Dark Side of the force.

"Sisters, Mother... Lend me your strength. Sisters, Mother... Lend me your strength..." said Nezira in almost a whisper, though not directly directed to Mathieu as she repeated the same sentence a few times. Her already glowing eyes increased in intensity for a few second, causing the Dark Side of the force to expand an invisible barrier around her, rendering the Nightsister near invisible and cloaking her from sight and sensors.

Mathieu suddenly found himself alone as Nezira was completely translucent and shrouded in magickal darkness that kept her from being seen. "let's go" whispered Nezira and started to increase her pace, passing Mathieu. It didn't take long before the girl could sense the signature of her Sister and multiple other people up ahead.

Soon guards appeared around the corner, standing guard by a singular non-descript door. Unlike the Jedi Padawan, Nezira didn't stop closing in on the guards and door. The only really signature Mathieu would be able to find, was a slight distortion of air where Nezira was and even that took concentration to focus on.

One moment the two guards minded their own business, the next a bright light of electricity went off in the faces, sending enough bolts through their entire bodies that it was knocked out, but wasn't killed. As no alarm was sounded, Mathieu would see the distortion of air disappear as Nezira reappeared right in front of the door, surrounded by the two knocked out guards.

The girl looked at the Jedi Padawan for a few seconds, before disappearing in a cloud of mist, and after a fraction of a second, her dark side signature reappeared inside of the room.

His eyes snapped to her as she suddenly summoned her Ichor once more. And then the Nightsister started to repeat a mantra of unknown nature - something which was most confusing to him and also went against the very nature of staying hidden. Slowly, his hand started moving towards his belt where his blue lightsabre hung - one of the Twi'lek guards had started to pick up on what must have sounded like a low murmur to him and the risk was that they might soon need to fight. But then, the girl disappeared.

Mathieu looked to where she had just been by his side, clearly surprised that she was no longer there. After having looked into what appeared as thin air for a few moments, he let out a dull "Okay then" before cloaking himself through the force - for a Padawan, he was a relatively advanced user of stealth techniques. Naturally his prowess in their use was far less impressive than his capacities of self-enhancement but they were still good in their own right.

Assuming that she moved where he indicated, Mathieu started to make his way past the guards and up the stairs. As soon as he turned the corner after the stairs, he saw how two guards by a door suddenly seemed to get shocked into unconsciousness. It was something of mixed value, seeing as how a patrol stumbling upon them would be bad news indeed. With that, he moved a little faster and made his way over to one of them. Finding their keycard was easy enough and after waiting for a few moments for the girl to clear the room behind, he used the keycard to open the door. Looking in, Mathieu saw a number of energy cells along the walls but no guards. Apparently, they had been kept outside for some reason.

Dropping out from stealth, the large Padawan suddenly appeared in the doorway. He then summoned his strength and threw one of the knocked out guards over his shoulder and brought the other one under his arm, bringing them both in at the same time. He could see how the prisoner's eyes were all on him as he dumped the people keeping them locked up on the floor. With a few quick steps, he moved back to the door to close it again before studying the people in the cells. They were no common Hutta thugs - instead, most of them seemed more wealthy and less thuggish.

Thinking out loud for Nezira to hear, Mathieu shared his theory "I think these are all people from that event. We can't just let Pereema keep them all here." Slowly but surely, the large Padawan started walking around in the room whilst looking for the Jedi Investigator. "I've got a keycard, so I can probably open all cells from that console, don't know if I'd be able to avoid triggering some kind of alarm though. But even then, I don't think we could sneak past the guards with a group this large." With that said, he stopped his tour around the prison complex around the computer console he mentioned "Tell me. Are you good in a fight?"

Nezira Viresh Nezira Viresh

When Mathieu finally entered the room with all the cells, Nezira had already dropped her invisibility and started searching for her Sister. She stopped her search when the Padawan spoke and looked at all the other people in cages. Hearing Mathieu talk about saving everyone, it almost felt like deja vu to her and reminded her of Cas' heroic personality when it came to helping people. The girl had no intention of helping the rest, she didn't know any of them, so why should she help them?

Then he asked her if she was good in a fight, "I can take care of myself" answered Nezira, not paying too much attention to him as she followed her Sister's signature. it didn't take long for her to find her Sister, though the girl looked badly hurt, not critical but close enough. "Sister!" expressed the Nightsister with a worried voice, kneeling down in front of the cage containing her Sister. When Nezira placed a hand on the cage, a minor shock sparked, making Nezira hiss and pull her hand back.

Anger filled the girl, seeing her Sister beaten so severely and taken prisoner. "That Hutt will pay for what she did," said Nezira as her Magick flared threateningly from her. Turning to look at Mathieu, he would see both her eyes were completely devoured by her green mist. Not even her pupils could be seen in her eyes.

The Nightsister started to head for the door and if Mathieu didn't stop her, she would actually leave the room to find Pereema the Hutt and do very bad choices when one was angry, letting their emotions run freely.

She did not object to giving the other prisoners a hand. In fact, she answered his question that followed, examining how capable she was in combat. "Good" he said, giving her an approving nod. "We'll probably need it if we want to get all these people to safety." Mathieu started working the console but soon paused for a few moments, looking over to the cell that Nezira was examining. Something was there - something which he needed to examine.

Walking over to the girl, he saw the Jedi investigator in the cell next to that of the other sister. Mathieu didn't speak - after what he saw, he really couldn't. The instructor was drugged and seemed most absent. She sat in a meditative stance, but her posture was bad and she had already slouched. Maybe her techniques had worked for a time but not for as long as he had taken to get there. It was another failure. "I'm sorry" he whispered before taking a deep breath. He needed to recompose himself, for being down and sad now was not going to help anyone.

Nezira had seen something similar to him. He assumed that the Jedi had not been beaten because it would have more severe consequences but the sight of their friends in such a weak state was hard on both of them. "Yeah, we'll free these people. And the Hutt won't get a say in it" he said with a deep voice whilst walking over to the console. Bringing out the keycard, he quickly gained access through the console. After making one attempt at shutting down the security, he switched over to simply shutting off all the force fields, immediately triggering an alarm whilst freeing all the captives. With a commanding voice and a large gesture, he directed the freed prisoners to help each other, especially the weak ones and added a sharp "I am here to save all of you, so if we want this to work, at all, we need to work together"

Only then did he notice the girl as she charged off towards the door, apparently having made a different interpretation of their priorities than he had. "Nezira, we need to work together" he called out to her while the prisoners gathered up. The stronger ones helped the weaker ones move and soon, they stood en masse by the centre of the room. Meanwhile, guards where coming in their direction, the first ones arriving being the two twi'leks and the gamorrean whom they had sneaked past earlier. For the moment, Mathieu was too deep in the room to help as the Twi'leks fired blasters at the Nightsister and the Gamorrean charged at her.

Nezira Viresh Nezira Viresh

Nezira halted when Mathieu's voice filled the room and clenched her hands into fists. He made some very valid points as the force fields in the cages got shut off. Besides, her Sister couldn't escape on her own, not in the state she was in, however, as the door swiped open Nezira instictly flared her magickal shield.

Blaster bolts after blater bolts were absorbed by Nezira's force shield, saving them all from getting gunned down. Unfortunately, the sheer might from the large Gamorrean slammed into her shield, knocking her back as she was unprepared for the sudden assault. Getting knocked back a few paces, before raising her field again, stopping yet again the blaster bolts from hitting anyone.

With a squeal, the Gamorrean started to pounce on the green mist-like force field Nezira held up. Having split the room in two with her shield, Nezira looked to Mathieu, hoping, or more like expecting him to do something, than just standing with freed prisoners and fiddling his thumbs.

If the Jedi Padawan went to the shield, he would find that he would be able to pass through it from their side, but wouldn't get back through. The frustration from the guards could be heard as neither their blasters did anything, nor the Gamorrean's assault with his giant axe seemed to hack through. One of the guards while blasting at Nezira's shield, did comm in reinforcement as the alarm went off.

"Hold on!" he hollered, seeing how the girl blocked numerous blaster bolts with her barrier. Just as he did, the Gamorrean smashed into it, causing the nightsister to fall back along with lowering it for a little while. At that point, Mathieu was already running towards her but was relieved to see that she could get the barrier up again before the guards got a chance to get a hit in at her or any of the captives behind her.

Soon, he arrived right next to her, but still behind the barrier. Mathieu threw a hesitant look, first at it and then Nezira before moving through the force produced field. As soon as the two twi'leks saw the Padawan step outside the barrier, they shifted their attacks to him, and since he appeared so close to the Gamorrean, it was all but forced to attack him before it could return its attention to Nezira's shield. With multiple incoming blaster bolts, Mathieu fell back into the Soresu that he was so familiar with.

He had not specialised in reflection - Soresu was mainly suited for mass deflection. But the Gamorrean was a large target who stood close which meant that it was with utmost ease that Mathieu sent the incoming bolts at the large alien. To his surprise, the brute was still standing after having tanked three blaster bolts. But even a freak of nature would be slowed and weakened by that and so, it was with ease that Mathieu managed to cut him down moments after. He continued to move forward, steadily deflecting the shots from the twi'leks as he did. In a way, he was like an unstoppable wall coming closer and closer. Unless Nezira acted first, he would eventually be able to get to them and cut their weapons off with a single stroke followed by one kick and two quick jabs to knock them both out.

Nezira Viresh Nezira Viresh

Seeing an opportunity when the Gamorrean refocused on Mathieu, Nezira dropped the shield and with reached out with her hands. The Gamorrean guard was about to raise its axe, when something stopped it in its track. Looking confused down at its legs, the Gamorrean guard squealed in panik, straight up dropping the weapon which left a loud clang sound throughout the room.

The very ground of the room where the large Gamorrean stood was being swallowed whole as if it stood in quicksand. Like hands grabbing for the guard, broken floor pieces started to swallow the Gamorrean more and more. The two Twi'leks looked on in horror, even forgetting to shoot at Mathieu as they watch the Gamorrean get eaten by the floor itself. Soon the terrified Gamorrean's panic squeals were drowned after its head disappeared and the floor looked like itself again, sturdy and unalive again.

If Mathieu hadn't knocked the two Twi'leks out by now, they would have fled in terror from watching that nightmarish thing happen. Looking from Mathieu to the now really frightened freed prisoners and then over to her Sister, Nezira walked over to her Sister. The other prisoners had a mixed reaction of relieved from getting freed and horrid from watching Nezira control the very floor eat a Gamorrean guard.

Wrapping her badly wounded Sister's arm over her shoulder, Nezira looked to Mathieu with almost a pleading eyes, "get us out of here, please" bed Nezira, despite hating that she has to plead a stranger for help. As Mathieu was the closest to the door, he would hear more guards closing in on their position.

With the aid of Nezira, the fight against the Gamorrean and the two Twi'lek guards had become an easy matter and they had all been dispatched quickly. Not stopping, Mathieu moved towards the door by the stairs and closed it before looking back. His intention was to give them a little bit of safety while preparing to head out and it seemed like most had understood that. He didn't expect for her to ask him to get them out of there - he demeanour was very different from the feisty girl which he had first met outside the palace. Still, Mathieu gave her a serious nod and a stable "I will" before pointing towards the other Jedi and speaking up with a commanding voice "Bring her" which resulted in two of the stronger prisoners to move over to pick her up.

With that he let out a "Stay close and call out for me if you see any guards" It was clear that there would no longer be any opportunities to sneak out, especially not with such a large group. And with that, the large Padawan opened the door and moved down the steps. Four guards were present but with the tight space available to them, Mathieu had an easy time deflecting and sometimes even reflecting their blasterbolts. From the outside looking in, it would appear as an unfair fight, for he neutralised the attackers without even slowing down, quickly hopping over bodyparts and unconscious guards as he moved down the stairs.

Knowing that they had arrived by an elevator earlier, Mathieu quickly chose the path they came to get out. "Nezira, watch our backs, don't let them injure the prisoners" he said, hoping that the prisoners would get the hint and help the girl take care of her sister which would free her up to fight. Two more guards appeared in front of the group and unlike Nezira who could make shield barriers, Mathieu needed to rely on more physical means, using both his sabre and heavy armour to block bolts from hitting the soft civilians behind him. It was enough to slow him down but his arrival was inevitable and soon resulted in two more unconscious guards. The lucky one had his weapon cut in half before being knocked out, the unlucky one lost an arm.

With that out of the way, the large Padawan lead the group to the turbolift "We don't know what tricks they might pull. Be ready to hold onto something" he said as they all stepped onto the turbolift with some peaceful elevator music. Taking a step closer to Nezira once they were descending, Mathieu asked "How are you doing?" with a concerned voice before adding a "If you want to truly keep her safe, I can let her ride on my back" well aware of his own capacities and skill in defending. It was unconventional but considering his impressive physique and advanced Soresu skills, it was well within his limits.

Nezira Viresh Nezira Viresh

Moving as fast as the injured guests would allow it, Nezira was ready as more guards came at them. She both expected and counted on Mathieu to keep the front safe like she would do the same at the back. Unfortunately for Nezira, a lot of guards seemed to have been following them from behind and as the small group made it to the turbolift, the hallway got lit up with blasterbolts.

Expanding her green mist-like barrier, completely covering them from corner to corner, the Nightsister girl kept it up the barrier as they waited for the turbolift to arrive. With a dash and use of the Force, Nezira made it into the elevator before she was mowed down by blaster fire. Giving them a short wait to catch their breath, Nezira had a chance to examine her Sister. The other Nightsister was still unconscious, which only made Nezira that much more pissed off at the Hutt.

Nezira glanced up at Mathieu, clearly debating whether to trust the Jedi Padawan or not to keep her Sister safe. Looking back to her Sister and then up to the freed prisoners, she finally nodded, putting her faith in the man. When Nezira's Sister was securely placed on Mathieu's back, the BING sound came from the turbolift, telling them that they had arrived at the main floor of the fortress.

The moment the doors opened, a small army was waiting for them, with Pereema the Hutt behind her large squad of armed goons. "My apologies, but you two have made far too much chaos and keeping all of you alive is too much trouble. It's unfortunate that you all died in a turbolift accident and that I, Pereema the Hutt, wasn't there to save any of you" taunted the Hutt as she started to slug her way into a private turbolift. "Kill them" ordered Pereema nonchalantly as the turbolift doors closed behind her.

The goons had everything from normal blasters and rotary canons, to slugthrowers and within a fraction of a second, Nezira had managed to extend her magickal barrier. However, it was clearly not easy to keep it up with how much firepower actually pounded at it at such a close range. The freed prisoners cowered, not wanting to die as every single goon just kept firing.

Baring teeth, Nezira continued to keep the barrier active, but it took a lot of will power. More men started to arrive, joining in on the firing, increasing the goons from 20 to 25. It sounded like thunder, with how much bolts slammed into the barrier, which in return absorbed it.

Small drops of sweat started to form on the girl's forehead as the barrier started to show cracks, giving a sign that it was very taxing on the girl and if this continued for much longer, the barrier would shatter.

It had been an intense push to the elevator, both for Mathieu and Nezira. But they had finally arrived and for the moment, they were safe. He looked to her as she considered his offer and got a soft smile as she finally agreed. Mathieu quickly brought out a few hook straps from his pouch and had Nezira or some prisoners help him get them in place once her sister had got up onto his back, allowing her to expend less energy to remain in place. Their timing could not have been better, for as soon as everything was in place, they arrived with Pereema and her goons awaiting their arrival.

Mathieu gritted his teeth as the elevator doors to Pereema's personal elevator closed but knew that they had more important matters to attend to. Nezira once more brought her barrier up and Mathieu knew what it meant - he had to go on the offensive. Together, they worked like a well-oiled machine. Waiting until exactly the right time, Mathieu eventually burst out through the shield with full concentration. Blaster bolts hailed down on him - but they were unfocused as their target had just shifted from the shield to him, allowing him to easily deflect them and thereby taking down four enemies - an easy task when they all stood so tightly packed.

He then proceeded to stab the brute holding the repeater. Instead of continuing to push on, the large Padawan instead chose to pick the weapon up. It was the same kind of armament which he used as a Mercenary and he knew how to handle it expertly. Using a lightsabre with one arm and manning a heavy repeater with the other should have been impossible - but Mathieu's form was impressive to say the least and with both stims enhancing his strength and the force bolstering it further, he seemed to be pulling it off. His enhancement skills were powerful enough as it were - but with his impressive foundation, they would become exponentially more effective. With one hand, he used his blue blade to defend himself and Nezira's sister and with the other, he sent a flurry of bolts at the goons, quickly cutting their numbers down drastically. Of course, he would take a few hits - but his heavy armour could manage it, at least for a while.

When the heavy repeater eventually overheated, there were only six goons left. One of them were running towards him with a vibroblade as the others kept firing. In a sudden move, Mathieu flung the repeater at the approaching foe with incredible force. Upon impact, the thug was thrown back towards the wall and pierced by the overheated barrel of the weapon, leaving only five more enemies. The Morellian didn't show much tiredness in the midst of battle. Now, he stood still, seemingly deflecting the blaster bolts of the remaining foes with ease as they were further down the corridor at a longer range. "Can you get Pereema? Bring the elevator down or something?" he asked without taking his eyes off the firing thugs for a second. It was clear to anyone looking, including the thugs, that he was more than a match for them and as they kept firing, it started to look like more and more of them wanted to flee instead.

Despite the building pain Nezira felt in her whole body, she kept the barrier up. Right as Mathieu charged head first into the frey, Nezira started to feel like she was losing control over her magick. It was a strange, very painful feeling as her veins started to glow in a luminous green colour, which formed cracks slithering a few inches outwards on her arms.

While it wasn't visible to anyone, because she wore clothes, Nezira could feel her connection cry out a bit as the shield finally shattered when Mathieu attacked. Falling to her knees, Nezira took quicken breaths in a slight panic manner while pulling up the sleeves to get a look at her arms. Right there, before her eyes, she could see what looked like some sort of corruption in the beginning stage of spreading. Nezira had never seen anything like that before and the strangest thing about it, she could still sense and feel the Ichor and magick ever so slightly slipping through the glowing scars on her arms and hands.

However, all of that was pushed back, when she remembered what Pereema had done to her Sister. Despite the pain of getting up, Nezira disappeared in a cloud of green mist.

While Mathieu couldn't see the Nightsister girl anymore, he would be able to sense the anger and hate, building up as the Dark Side radiated from Nezira all the way at the top of Pereema's fortress.

Feeling secure in her throne room, Pereema just managed to make her way to her throne, when Nezira reappeared by the elevator, fully emerged in the Dark Side. However, instead of Sith yellow and red eyes, her eyes were fully engulfed by bright glowing green Ichor, rendering the pupils invisible. Where the newly shaped scars on her arms and hands, Nezira walked with a dangerous silence. Lightning crackled in the palm of her hands as electricity filled the air.

The Nightsister girl lifted herself a few inches above the floor as she started to float. Pereema was truly scared for her life as she had sent all of her goons to intercept Mathieu, Nezira and the prisoners at the turbo-lift. "Please! I'll give you anything! Anything! You want credits? land? N-name your price!" begged Pereema, watching in horror at the almost otherworldly being floated right in front of her.

Sneering in rage, Nezira unleashed such a powerful lightning storm on Pereema that the Hutt burst into flames, causing her eyes to pop like balloons. After a full minute of continually sending lightning through the dead body of Pereema the Hutt, Nezira dropped from the air, landing on her feet, followed by dropping to the floor. As she sat on her legs. Nezira's hands were shaking, or maybe her whole body was shaking, it was a bit hard to notice at the moment.

The girl didn't even notice the charred and scorched body of Pereema as she could only focus on her own hands and arms. The weird glowing Ichor scars had increased and spread just a bit more up the arms and down the hands.

As if a wall was slowly closing in on them, Mathieu approached the remaining few goons who were still shooting at him. As he could now focus fully on defence, no bolts would even slip through to punch his armour anymore. He could see how the enemies' morale was wavering as he kept getting closer but still, they kept firing. Finally, he dashed forth and moved his sabre to first cut a rifle in half before continuing to deflect more bolts. The now disarmed thug let out a gasp as Mathieu's left arm shot out and grabbed him by his chest armour plate and raised him into the air. Moments went by as the Padawan kept deflecting the bolts with one hand whilst holding the goon with the other. Then, he threw the man at his colleagues and consequently making it impossible for them to keep firing for a bit. "Surrender to the Jedi at spaceport." he said resulting in many nods before the group ran away. He had no idea as to whether they would actually surrender themselves to the Jedi but at least he would not have to do more violence to them for now.

With the palace cleared except for Pereema's throne room, Mathieu brought the captives to the nearby hangar and ushered them into a shuttle. "Here, keep this emergency coms unit and tracker. I will lock the hangar doors and the shuttle, if something happens, you press it, OK?" the captive he spoke to nodded and so, Mathieu did what he said he would before rushing back to the scene of the fight. He had promised the girl that he would keep her sister safe, and so he allowed her to remain on his back, knowing that it was probably safer than in the shuttle. He also knew that Nezira was not on the shuttle and there was only one reasonable destination she could have gone to. With that in mind, he called down the elevator and took it to meet her at Pereema's quarters.

Once he got up, it was impossible to not notice the stench of a fried Hutt but what was more important to him was what he saw - Nezira, looked worn out and drained as she laid on the floor. Some sort of green energy almost seemed to be leaking out of her. "Nezira" his voice echoed out over the room as he approached her in a jog to kneel down by her side upon arriving. He could sense the remnants of dark side energy in the room would that was secondary for the moment. "Nezira, are you alright?" he asked with concern clear in his voice as he looked down at her.

She was shuddering and seemingly in a weakened state from her recent actions "I'll keep you safe" he said, now knowing whether she could hear him or not. With that, he scooped her up and moved back to the elevator. Carrying her sister on his back and Nezira with his arms up front, Mathieu would then move back to the shuttle, confident that he could deal with any foes on their way too. Still, he walked fast, hoping to avoid further confrontations on their way out.

Nezira felt no control over her own body and it scared her as she could do nothing but watch the glowing scars radiating a green luminous mist from them. She was in a trance in god knows how long, just sitting on the floor in front of the burnt corpse of Pereema the Hutt. Thoughts were racing through her mind, drawing to crazyer or worse conclusions as to how or why the Ichor in her cause such a violent reaction to her skin.

Mathieu's voice echoed out over the room and yet it was a whisper to the pale girl on the floor. She only reacted, almost snapping back into reality when he scooped her up and violently tried to hide her arms with her sleeves. When they had arrived back down to the main floor of the fortress, Nezira was still trying to hide her arms from Mathieu, however, it was impossible as the glowing green colour from her arms actually lit up the dark red sleeves just enough to notice.

Nezira was so fixated on hiding the newly formed scars that she hadn't even demanded to be put down or shown any sort of distrust towards the Jedi Padawan.

The fast walk to the hanger went quick and soon they left for space and to get as far away from Nal Hutta as possible. Most of the prisoners only suffered minor injuries with the worse being Nezira's Sister and a few others with heavily beaten bodies. Nezira other the other hand seemed to have snapped out of her frantic shock. Instead, she paced back and forth half an hour in the transport ship, only stopping for a brief moment, to then continuing her pacing.

Then she suddenly stopped and headed directly for her Sister, who seemed to at least be conscious now. Kneeling down in front of her Sister, Nezira helped her Sister up, having her Sister's arm over her shoulder and looked to Mathieu. "Thank you" thanked the pale Nightsister genuinely and opened a very familiar dark green portal with a completely black body and centre. Before long, the two Nightsisters disappeared through the portal, which in turn imploded, dissolving into dark green mist.
