"The specimen is not responding to treatment. Try boosting the radiation!"
"Sir, if we do that then the Wookie will surely die."
"I said do it!"
There was a flash as the radiation machine whirred to life, followed by smoke and the smell of hair burning. A moment latter the vital monitors crashed and flat lined, indicating the Wookie had indeed died. Dr. Varsi looked on angrily and turned away cursing. "Get rid of the body."

Holly Starstorm was beyond frustrated. The doctors had called her episode fatigue and stress due to overworking, but she felt fine and she resented being told to stay in a bed all day. She was fidgety, restless, and wanting to get back to her desk and finish her latest story. Unfortunately her boss would hear nothing of it and insisted she stay put as her doctor ordered. Would nobody listen that she felt fine?
She got up and paced around her room, finally pausing with her hand on the door handle. Well it couldn't hurt to just take a small walk down the hallway... that wasn't too much exertion right? Who knows, maybe she'd even meet other people at the hospital.
