is there a Vong faction?

Thinking of making a Vong character or Vong shaped one.

We do have a subgroup within the OS. It's called Hrosha-Gul, though I believe it's either seperating into the Golden Horde or one of the former warmasters has formed the Golden Horde in response to recent interactions (it's hard to tell just yet). The Vong have been actively rped, up until this point, as a contingent of the Legion Yun'Do on Selvaris. It operates differently than the Hrosha-Gul as it doesn't follow specifically Yun-Amon and doesn't follow a specific deity but instead worships the entire Yun'O. Of course, each caste has a favored god, but there is no special emphasis on one specific God.

Currently, it's run almost entirely from the Shai domain. However, for active Vong that wish to take part, all domains would be welcomed.

1. Techno Union has some splinter Vong stuff going on, but is mostly NPC'd. No active Vongers I know of.

2. One Sith had Hrosha-Gul, but the Vongbellion didn't go so hot, so Hrosha-Gul is splintering off - leaving One Sith with another tangible Yuuzhan Vong organization called the Legion Yun'Do. They've got a Vong named @Khalleesh, and [member="Reverance"] is well versed in Vong ways.

3. Hrosha-Gul (means "Price of Pain" in vong) is going to be one of the foundations of the in-progress Golden Horde faction. This is where I'm moving my character, Tsavong.

4. Lords of the Fringe briefly had some Vong action, but no active Vongers I know of.


TL;DR: Most Vong action was in OS, but I'm diversifying our bonds.

Vong seem neat, and they are very unique, I wouldn't mind playing with the idea. There's just so much information to absorb first. I have a vacation coming up, so who knows.

Kind of? Right now we're killing Vong on Rodia, and we're explicitly a technology-based faction, so whatever we do to the Vong we're capturing probably isn't going to be very nice. While the potential for a Vong character in the Techno Union certainly exists (we've had quite a bit of interaction with them recently), it wouldn't be a standard Vong my any means.

I suppose that's true enough. We'll need to discuss that further, then, because teched out Yuuzhan Vong weren't really on the list of potential TU topics until...like, this moment. I'll bring it up to the faction.

But seriously there does need to be an active Vong faction around, I think the Vong could fall in with the Primeval quite well.

I dunno about teched out Vong...haven't seen any of those running around, though I guess they could fall far enough from grace for that.
