Is This Goodbye?

Her room looked out to the open world before her. She enjoyed the view. The position of her seat allowed for a prefect breeze to comfort her old, withered skin. The sight offered a sign that life still had meaning. Yet she could see deeper than the surface. She'd seen something else she knew not many else would ever see. A sight only granted to her after going through the harshest of changes life and the force itself could offer.
In her quaters Darth Raven awaited the arrival of [member="Darth Praelior"] , her closest friend and companion among the Coveant of the Black Rose. She'd yet to see her after so long, but she recalled how she was there. She was with her when it happened. When the young and beautiful girl she was soon changed due to so much exposure from the Thought Bomb they'd discovered hidden deep on the surface of a planet. It had overwhelmed her and changed her forever. Now she was a withered old crone of her former self.
Many would have been broken from this and, in a way, Darth Raven was. She was now withered and possibly dying. Her mind was cracked and mangled, causing her to see hallucinations now-and-then. But somehow Raven still remaind. She still had her own mind, her own plans, and her own resolve. Though some wondered if this was the Thought Bomb's doing, or her own true self finally being unearthed.
In any case she sat and waited for the arrival of her Zeltron love. She'd not seen her since the incedent and pondered what she would think of her now.

Balaya arrived shortly, her attention more on the sections of the covenant they had been working with then nything else. SHe wanted to ensure all of them were happy and fit as a group of sisters should be before she came to the woman who had disappeared right after their big thing. It was something she had not been expecting and slowly she stepped in wearing the massive zoosha fabric dress that was impractical for battle but she could show it off. "It is good to see you have returned."

The large looming chair she sat in did not allow for much to see behind her. Yet Raven knew she was coming the moment she started walking down the hallway. Upon her arrival into the room Raven sensed it. She knew [member="Darth Praelior"] was wearing something provacative, as she tended to do. Yet this could not stir her the way it used to. She did not move. The closest action she made was offering her boney hand from where it rested on the seat, waiting for the Zeltron to take it and finally see what had happened to her love.

Balaya looked at her sitting there, she moved up and took a look at the woman's bony hand while moving to her side and looking down. "What have you done to yourself my dear." She knew, she had been there and seen it but it was still not something she liked to believe despite everything. The womn had been foolish and endangered many of them while she tried something and she crossed her arms.

Her bone fingers clasped around those of [member="Darth Praelior"] as she took her hand. Finally she looked up and her old, worn eyes had a tint of saddness in them. She quivered a smile before it turned into a sobbing motion. Tears broken as she confessed "Oh Balaya....I wish you didn't see me like this. I wanted power... and look what it did to me." She turned away, covering her eyes, and added "I'm so old... so...ugly..."

"That is the price we pay for power." Balaya was looking at her while she knelt down onto her knee. "You did something we warned you about, if you had come we could have prepared it better. Studied the possible effects, instead you rushed Sophia, you rushed trying to get something that should have been left buried. We found something far stronger then the thought bomb with the sisterhood afterwards."

Drying her eyes Raven looked back and said "I know. I see it now. And yet..in my state I have been granted something more." Her hands came to hold [member="Darth Praelior"] as she said "Listen to me. Something is going to happen soon. Something that we must prepare for. All of us. Especially you. Something that I have faith you and the others in the covenant will achieve." She sat back and explained "I'm dying, Balaya. But that does not mean it has to be the end."

She raised an eyebrow at that and looked down at the woman. "No death is only the beginning and only something fools believe is the end. Just like most sith I am sure your move into the afterlife will bring more knowledge and a way to escape death. So tell me what it is that you shall need?"

A little smile came to her face before Raven told [member="Darth Praelior"] "First you'll need my body...once it's been dealt with."
From there Raven explained a long plan she had in-mind for what would come. Her fight with her former master Taeli Raaf and from there the outcome that would surely be determined from there. How she and the Covenant would need to take her body and the long process needed to ensure her apparent "return". The process involved dark magic and sith alchemy that seemed almost deadly. In the end, after she finished, Raven sat back and waited to hear what Balaya had to say. The plan would lead to something that may or may not have worked, but if it did it would mean a living hell for her.

Balaya sat there and listened to the plan, it was a dangerous thing and relied on them being able to get to her body if she fell against a jedi... which meant they needed it not to be somewhere they couldn't get to easily or would be interrupted in the act of retrieving it. "It will require several things, we'll have to be able to retrieve your body should you fall."

A weak smile came over Rvane's face when she heard [member="Darth Praelior"] basically agreeing to her plan. It brought a little comfort to her as she laid back and said "I have faith in you, my dear. If I should fall I will only rise again. Stronger. More powerful than ever." She sighed as she seemed to drfit for a moment and added "A Sith brought back from the dead. Imagine...that..."
