As a Mandalorian the galaxy saw me as nothing but a barbarian. Someone bred to fight, that lived to fight, that craved nothing more than to feel the weight of their beskad cleave through their enemies. To be a Mandalorian is so much more, it means so much more. To be Mando is meant to protect one’s people, one’s family, one’s home.
As a Jedi people saw me as an emotionless machine. A servant to an invisible being. Someone who was no better than the Sith. For me at one time what it meant to be a Jedi was to uphold not a Republic, not an Alliance or some congregation of force users. What I was truly meant to uphold was civilization. To be a wall that could protect the weak, the downtrodden, the unrepresented.
Both sides of what I thought to be me were lost. The Silver Jedi Order I had once trusted had fallen to the level of being no better than the Sith. The Mandalorians, the people I loved with all my heart, who I thought would be there for me turned their backs on me. They sought to strip me of the force. For weeks they kept me bound as they sought to strip me of a part of myself. The people I once loved having turned on me. Not even those from those within my clan sought to defend or free me. I had to do it myself.
Without either of those what am I? I can answer that. I’m nothing, I’m a nobody. Now, what do people see when they look at me? A merc, a druggie, scum from the lowest cesspits of Nar Shaddaa. All that love, all the generosity, everything I was died. I make my living day to day working for Agrippa The Hutt and Avernus . The pay? Good enough to afford my next binger and a place to lay my head. This is my life now, at least it was till the parcel arrived.

Trials and Tribulations
“To be weak isn’t an option, to give in means death. Mercy is something that only the weak accept. No son of Priest will ever kneel.”
- Josia Priest to Isaiah Priest
Isaiah Priest, born on Mandalore to Josiah and Adina Priest, the young Mandalorian was raised as many of his kind were. From the time he was able to speak, the pair put Isaiah through the rigorous, tedious training to be an apex predator. The Priest clan didn’t believe in half measures like some of the more recent clans to form, in their eyes it was either be the best or risk being ousted from the clan.
Moving from the planet of Mandalore, to a far larger homestead on Concord Dawn, the Priest’s taught self-sufficiency to the young Isaiah. He tended to the fields, the animals, and even learned how to butcher them. It was during his time on Concord Dawn that Isaiah met THE Maynard Treicolt . A man who had become Isaiah’s only friend, and perhaps is what kept the boy grounded. In fact, Isaiah is sure that without Maynard he would’ve ended up nothing more than a ruthless killing machine.
Eventually, Isaiah even followed Maynard off to join the Jedi Order of the time. Neither of them knew the true way in which the Jedi operated, in many ways no better than the Sith. During those times Light and Dark meant nothing, everything was a shade of twilight and it wasn’t what either were looking for. Maynard was the first to leave, Isaiah quickly following.
Only when Isaiah returned to Mandalore he found an empire waiting. An Empire that didn’t desire force users of any ilk. Not even Isaiah’s own clan sought to protect him, the Mandalorian captured and held prisoner for nearly two weeks waiting to be “cleansed” as the others called it. Escaping in the dead of night, now on the run from the only people he had left, Isaiah fled to the furthest reaches of the galaxy to escape it all.
“No matter where you run, where you hide, eventually the force will find you. It will find a way to set you back on track, I know you have a bright path ahead of you.”
-Lanik Dawnstar
Over the years since abandoning the Jedi Order, and fleeing the Mandalorian Empire, Isaiah crafted his own niche. Those lessons his parents once taught him, leading to Isaiah not only surviving in a cold, dark galaxy, but thriving in it. Becoming a bounty hunter for the infamous Agrippa the Hutt, Isaiah managed to make just enough to feed his newfound deathstick habit. A habit formed out of a need to avoid the force, to negate what he felt through it. To negate the pain of the universe. For years Isaiah stuck to the outer rims minding his own business till a parcel arrived.
The parcel that arrived on Isaiah’s doorstep from yet another old friend, Lanik Dawnstar, sent the man on yet another adventure. One that propelled Isaiah into meeting both old friends apart of the Galactic Alliance, and even throwing his lot in with the Sons of Mandalore.
