Originally born on a small agricultural world in the Outer Rim regions, her family eventually moved to the Core after selling their farm to a large agricultural conglomerate. Here she received a more extensive education, leading her to fall in with a group of political activists.
Following two brief years as part of the radical activists, she eventually grew disillusioned with their lack of pragmatism and dedication to change. Taking the reins into her own hands, she pursued a career in politics, eventually finding success on Metellos, where, after the creation of the Galactic Alliance, she found a position as the people's representative in the Senate.
