OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a lore accurate generic TIE interceptor so other people don't have to for Imperial remnant factions.

  • Permissions: N/A.
  • Primary Source: Link.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
  • All standard features.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • N/A.
STRENGTHS
  • Fighter/Bomber Killer: The ISTIM follows in the footsteps of its ancestors by being an excellent fighter and bomber killer with its high speed, high maneuverability, and strong weapons, making it a force to be feared whether in space or in the atmosphere.
  • High Quality: The above is made possible due to high quality components and the fact that the pilots who are assigned these ships are typically veterans of the Standard TIE fighter, being quite familiar with how to utilize them to their full effect.
WEAKNESSES
  • Thin Armor, No Shields: Much like its ancestral forebear, the ISTIM relies on maneuverability and speed for defense, carrying no shielding and only thin armor to help ward off glancing blows. Although technological innovation may have given it a hyperdrive, that improvement in power management has still not given it shields.
  • Extended Maintenance: Due to the high stress put on the frame due to its incredible celerity, only proper factions and the occasional errant fighter enthusiast who somehow "acquired" one from one of them can fly these, as they require quite a bit of maintenance to operate effectively.
DESCRIPTION

Designed as a countermeasure to the standard fighters of other galactic powers, the TIE interceptor of this era relies on many of the same design principles as its ancestors, with the notable exception being the addition of more laser cannons, a missile launcher, and a hyperdrive compared to the ancient Imperial design. TIE Interceptors are most frequently flown by dedicated Imperial factions with the veterans of their regular TIE squadrons who have survived a minimum of at least twenty deployments. The end result is a deadly, fast ship capable of slaughtering the most common enemy starfighters and bombers in the galaxy. Combined with regular TIEs or sent to escort TIE bombers, they are a potent force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, even against equally advanced opponents.

Quick question on the permissions since you wanted me to be a little more precise, I want these to be like open-market but conditionally so? Like for Imperials and Imperial-themed characters or someone who has a good story about stealing them from them. Like I do have a marketplace thread but for the people above they don't necessarily need my explicit permission to use it under those circumstances since I already like intended for them to be able to use it. How would you suggest I word it? Would I put closed market with a dislcaimer? I kind of want to make some open source ships so each Imp faction doesn't have to rewrite their own variant of like a standard ship and can just use them.

Easiest way to do this is just have in Market Status: Open Market. It means anyone can use them, conditional or not. You can say in the description most found are stolen outside say your company name or faction. That can work.

Long as it is open market, anyone can use them.
