PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Weathered. Muscular. Tall. Solid. Seasoned.

Iston doesn't put much stock into what one typically wears. Always adorned with your standard state of the art Jedi Master Robes, rarely does he ever wear anything different. Aged rather well, Iston likes to use this to his advantage. Always walking around, slightly hunched over, at a slow and steady pace and with his Beskar Walking Cane, he utilizes his age to put on the illusion of helplessness. His voice when talking deep, and booming. His hair, well coated with grey from all his years of living. His beard is always neatly trimmed. When training, and often he does to keep his body in tip-top shape, his upper body is riddled with scarring, from years of hardened battle -- earned and received from years of serving in wars and scrimmages.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Opinionated. Strong Willed. Stubborn at times. Wise. Caring. Stoic. Nostalgic. Burdened. Father.

Iston is... well, the 'grey' sheep among his fellow Jedi Master peers. Burdened from years of serving -- this Pilgrim carries weights that no one can see. Always one to articulate his thoughts well before speaking -- nothing stops his natural earned, and Ashla given candor when speaking, whether the truth hurts or not. Iston feels in his old age -- it is his duty, a privilege to pass down what he knows, and has learned over his lifetime to the new generation. Battle hardened, and etremely intelligent -- Iston has a lot to offer whether still in battle or in conversation.

Regarding his beliefs as a Jedi -- Iston has been in his lifetime on both spectrums of the Force and has chosen instead of picking from the two -- to return to the Old Ways, where he feels is the path, and walks in it, in Bendu, or Balance. Having visited Tython several times in his life and dedicated his time to the studies of the Je'daii, Iston finds rest for his weary soul here.

• Unique Trait: Iron Mind: Thanks in large part to his heritage, Iston has worked tirelessly honing his mental defences -- the result? Iston is able to block out and resist outside influences and is an extremely hard individual to crack.

STRENGTHS

• Capitán: Hesitant at first, and unsure — Iston rose and met the call of leadership, as well as his heritage during several military campaigns. A brilliant strategist, and a cunning fighter, no moves are wasted when it comes to Iston.
• Marathon Man: Iston refuses to let his age define him. Constantly training, and meditating as years advance — Iston has remained in peak physical condition.
• Firm Foundation: It is both a blessing a curse to become aged. Trained early — Tried and tested, refined time and again, Iston has a firm grip on what he believes and will not waver from his resolve. His goal in the time he has left is to impart and leave imprints of himself in those he will call his legacy.

• Discernment: Rare is it that one pulls the wool over the eyes of Iston, but — this also depends how close to the subject he is.
• Safety in a Multitude of Council: Iston and the Council have a — colored past. Iston in his youth would frequently refuse to "do" and "go" as ordered; feeling that they did not always know best. His moral compass was often his guide. However; since his long return into the redeeming light — Iston frequently seeks wisdom with many of his companions in the Council; whom he reveres as dear friends. He knows now the council is made up of imperfect individuals, but tries his best not to hold that against the whole.

WEAKNESSES

• Weathered: Despite his peak physical condition - time wears on all things. Iston is no longer the 'youngling' he once was.
• Skeletons in the Closet: Not something Iston would just outright publicize; in his youth Iston concerted to the dark side, and for years would do unspeakable things. Eventually, reborn into the light and balance found — Iston struggles when looking at others, often seeing himself and fighting the fear that threatens to isolate.
• Burdened: Iston has a daughter -- whom is the spitting image of his departed wife Iris. Their relationship is fractured and rough - the two at opposite ends. He's already lost the love of his life, he refuses to loose his daughter.
