We did not see it coming, there was very little warning. The Queen and several of the members of the Council and families of Alderaan were able to leave before the Sith could locate them. The Republic reacted to the invasion but the Sith were more powerful and in no time they had defeated the Republic leaving Alderaan in the hands of the Sith.
Another attempt was made to free Alderaan from the control of the Sith, but it failed. Alderaan remains cut off from the Republic, or any allies that may have come to their aide.
The Queen is in exile moving from planet to planet, the royal family is scattered to protect them from capture. The High Council is shattered. Alderaan is being changed from the vision of peace that it was to reflect the might and power of the Sith.
It is time to rally any ally that can be counted on for support. It is time to show the Sith that Alderaan will not sit idly by and let them change our home into their seat of power. It is time for the Rebels.
