It Was Written On The Walls

The Ryuk came out to halt as Romeo strode on the bridge wearing civilian clothes, and his signature jacket, though it was not his original one, [member="Miss Blonde"] had that one somewhere, tucked in a special place. Sometimes, when he was alone, Romeo wished he had something of hers to, a lock of hair, or a pair of underclothes she had forgotten to take with her. It wouldn't have been the first time. She knew he was alive again, but this meant nothing, least he felt it meant nothing anymore. If she wanted anything to do with him, he did not know, nor where she was located anymore, he lost that trail along time ago, and doubted she wanted him to know. The man had given up that right, and thus respected her wishes. Wishes he only assumed.

On the bridge was a man standing in a white uniform, his hair slicked back, and his clothes neatly pressed. Romeo smiled at it, it looked very clean, just as it should be. The man standing next to him on the other hand, looked a little under shaven. When Romeo stopped his walk, he was directly behind the man with the uncontrolled beard, it wasnt that Romeo had anything against facial hair, he just kept a clean ship. "I think, someone needs to go trim this beard, or else I will." Romeo said in a very cold tone. "I've killed for less, private." He whispered in the man's ear who jumped higher than any man Romeo had seen before. "Y-y-yes sir!" He saluted and ran towards the exit, only to stop, and hold his throat in mid run. A choking sound echoed through the bridge as the man gasped for air. Romeo stood with his hand out looking as the man's back. "We do NOT run on my ship for such little things. Private, walk to your quarters." Romeo let him go, the man now a very pale color from fear.

After that ordeal was dealt with Romeo looked over at the man in white who also looked pale from the scene. "S-sir, we are just entering the Shadow Realm, as you have asked." Romeo nodded to this man, his new first mate, Jenan, a male Vahla who saw Romeo has a demigod, and believed him to be Vahl reincarnated, though Romeo wasnt sure how he felt about that. Somewhere just beyond the windows of the bridge, Eclipstica was out there, being rule by [member="Darth Raijin"], a Shard he met awhile back who was...an interesting fellow. There the Sith had take the Sith Kingdom, looking over the Dynasty's remnant. From what Romeo understood, the people liked him. But this was not why they were here, well not entirely. Somewhere around this area, a blimp had shown up, some kind of distress signal. Romeo wanted to know what it was as there was apparently nothing out here, no planet, no nothing. "Had the signal been seen again?" Romeo asked the Jenan. The man shook his head no, "Sir, we think it may have lost power, or it could be an old relic from the times of the Shadow Empire's first rulers." The man went on. "There's nothing out here, but we are getting strange readings from an area nearby where the signal was last scene, its highly distorted, and nothing we do will clear it up. But there is something there."

Romeo nodded his head, and moved to place his hand on the window. "Connect me to the coms Jenan." The man rushed to do the Dark Jedi's bidding, a console that held many buttons and nobs was played with till Jenan spoke up, "You're connected sir." Romeo nodded in appreciation. "[member="Seden Sin"], come to the bridge at once. I repeat, Seden, come to the bridge at once." Romeo made a jest with his hand to signal to remove the channel, to which Jenan quickly did. "Jenan, get [member="Salvor Arnex"] on the line, tell him we found something...interesting." Romeo removed himself from the window, and looked over at the bridge and wondered what [member="Lady Kay"] had been up to, it had been too long since he had last talked to her. "Also, reach the lady, Kay, tell her to come. Im sure she will find this interesting." Jenan did all this as Romeo had asked, without hesitation, without questioning his commander's motives, he simply obeyed.

How odd. Kay looked at the datapad which showed a map of where she was headed next. Out of the blue she got a message from a man named Jenan, telling her that [member="Romeo Sin"] requested her to meet him in an area of space that she had not ventured in. It was most unexpected, puzzling and yet intriguing at the same time. Their only encounter had been simple enough, a chat over a dinner that she cooked in the kitchens of the Senate hall. Kay wasn't quite sure what his motives were in that meeting, but whatever it was, she was sure to not allow herself to be taken advantage of. A few had tried and each of them had been refused. She had more respect for herself than that and had no intention of just being some fleeting memory.

Trouble seemed to always find her as well. She had already lost one husband. To put others in danger because of her choices was not something that she had wanted to do. So she continued to keep everyone at arm's length. Better to be safe than sorry.

Shortly after she had gotten the message, Kay had sent a reply back, letting him know that she was on her way. On her way to what, however, she had no idea.

The galley of the Toruk stank to high hell. It was unbearably rank, those noses of all who were currently in there were assaulted with the smell of soldiers and miners who at this point had to have sweat pooling in their boots, the smell of the drill as it burst through the crust to find the ore of the precious metal buried under the surface, and maybe the worst smell of all, the one that came in and hit you over the head with a bat after the others just got finished roughing you up was the smell coming from the kitchen.

The smell was some combination of boiled eggs, garlic, old onions, and the feet of a corpse that had been left for months in a bog and spent the last three hours drying in the sun. It was clear Got'chy had not made hiring a chef a priority. He would have to bring this up with the Warden, after all morale tended to go quickly when soldiers weren't fed well.

"K'eeva?" An authoritative female voice called from the door way of the galley as far away from the smell as one could resonably hope to be without being out of the room directly. The soldiers in the galley all stood at attenion or at the very least straightened up in their chairs, when the commander of the Ash guard Charisma Reanaii called the name of one of her men.

The man she called to was him, K'eeva...something or other, his surname was not important. He, it seemed was the only one who had not jumped to attention, not that he was disrespectful or dismissive of his captain but he was not on duty and because he was not on duty he did the things one did when not beholden to responsibilty. He was out of his armor...thank the force, wearing nothing more than a tank top, a pair of shorts and flip flops. beads of sweat ran down his dark ebony skin and made his thin clothes stick too his body so tightly you could almost see through them.

"Yes, Captain?" K'eeva answered back with out turning to face her.

"There's a message for the Warden have you seen him?"

"I Think, Captain," He said turning to look at her. She was a striking woman even now in her pressed officer's uniform and with her hair pulled up, beautiful but intimidating even to him.

He had only seen her out of uniform once and that was when they were on Nar Shaddaa to set up the job they were on now.

One week earlier:

"Okay Captain, Got'chy will not wait on us forever." He told his Captain. She was dressed in a set of over-big overly-worn clothes that K'eeva was able to purchase off the back of some woman for the price of a bottle of liqour. She wore her hair down instead of up like normal and was all the more beautiful for it even in her begger's clothes.

"Okay, after you." She said clearly uncomfortable.

They parted ways with their warden. The young Zabrak who they were sworn to protect left without a glance back off to collect the head of some prince, K'eeva smiled, he knew the warden's greatest wish to take the head of a king, for now a prince would have to do. K'eeva took a couple steps toward the back to meet with the Toydarian before he realized she hadn't moved. She had stood and watched the Warden walk all the way out the doors and watched still for a moment longer. They were all sworn to him but no body doted on Salvor Arnex the way she did.

once they actually got moving it did not take long before they were in front of the Toydarian.

"K'eeva!" Got'chy said in his thick accent, the words practually spelled out in the stink of old cigars and hallatosis.

"Got'chy, you son of a queen." K'eeva replied like they were old friends.

"Who's da girl?" Got'chy asked.

"Don't worry your greedy head about her, she ain't for sale."

"Too bad, you could get good money for her I think." The alien the laughed.

"Tell me about the job Got'chy." K'eeva said knowing Charisma was eager to be done with it.

"Simple job. I, have mining crew, they need protection."

"And how big is the crew?" K'eeva asked.

"Fifteen men. Mostly Nikto, if that matters." K'eeva held up a hand to scilence the Toydarian while he did the figures in his head.

"Okay, Got, if you want the Warden and you do, cuz he is the best, you're gonna need to take on twenty of the regulars, the seven of us and obviously Warden Arnex himself, your ship got room for that many plus your crew?"

K'eeva could see Got'chy doing his own silent calculations before he answered. "Easily. Now when it comes to the matter of price..."

K'eeva held his hand up again. "For the amount of man power we are providing, plus the nature of the task. ninety-thousand credits, fiffteen percent of the profit from what ever you sell plus enough of the material to make a couple trinkets."

K'eeva could see the alien struggle internally with the offer, but Got'chy knew it was not a negotiation.

"Fine, fine. Want to know where you going?" The Toydarian asked slyly.

"Why not."

"You from Eclipstica right?" Got'chy asked a smirk creeping on his face.

"spent some time around there." K'eeva responded.

"Fuck." Charisma said softly in the corner clearly understand what he had not.

"What?" he asked

"Necro Minecore."

*back on Minecore*:

"you will find him, talking to their supervisor some where."

"Thank you." she said briskly as she turned and left clearly glad to be able to leave the stench of the galley.

K'eeva however took a deep breath and a slug of some Nikto mining liqour and relaxed.

*Message to [member="Romeo Sin"] from one of the soldiers in his employ that hasn't yet been given a name or title*
"Warden Arnex would ask that you elaborate."

Shortly after the messages were sent, Romeo found himself wondering more on people like [member="Adan Jax"] who had been a very successful apprentice. The Devaronian was but a friend from the past though, and he not heard of or from him in a long time. What was worse, almost all the old members of the Shadows were now gone, off doing what pleased them most, while Romeo stood here, wondering what would worse, leaving the throne, or serving it. Does a king serve his old throne? It made some sense, but then again, the place was better without him interfering with their lives. Yes, that was the best answer for the time being, Romeo did not have his mind set on a goal, with his mind not set on a idea, he had no motivation to do anything other than explore, and this would be where he would start.

"Sir, we seem to have intel on the coordinates of the beacon." Jenan announced from over the shoulders of a man reading a screen. Romeo awaited a little before clearing his throat and turning to see his brother walk in with a question. "[member="Seden Sin"], I believe Jenan was about to tell us." Romeo's attention turned back to the first mate who in return stood up straight.

"Necro Minecore, a planet lost a few centuries ago, sir, due to what is believed an invasion by Vong not from the Horde. The mining colony there was lost, and went dark. It is unsure what exactly happened there, and what is still there. That is all there is sir."

Romeo turned to look at his brother. "Well....looks like we are about to get into some trouble."

Which was ranged by a reply from [member="Lady Kay"] who was on her way. "Give her our coordinates Jenan, get us to that planet." Romeo would say only to have one of [member="Salvor Arnex"]'s men send their own reply.

"My my, am I popular."

*Message Returned To Salvor*
We are heading to Necro Minecore, that is all we know. A distress beacon was found close by

Another raised brow as she double-checked the co-ordinates given to them. According to her datapad, there wasn't anything there. Just a dead planet. Maybe there was more? It was hard to tell as there was very little information about that region.

Kay instructed her pilot to take them over there. She sipped her tea. It would take a few hours at least. In the meantime she would be able to pack her satchel with extra provisions, clothes, two blasters and a shoto lightsaber that she was given to borrow until she could create her own. Her other one was destroyed by one of the bounty hunters that caught her. If she was going to a place that had little known about it, it was best to be prepared for the worst.

Once The Free Lady had arrived, she would have her pilot send a message to [member="Romeo Sin"] to let him know. Whether he wanted her to dock at his ship or meet him on world was anyone's guess. They'll find out when they get there.

The drink burned his throat. The liquor favored by the Nikto miners was clear as water, burned like ship fuel and tasted like fermented nuts. K'eeva did not know what it was called but it sure packed a punch.

When his eyes stopped watering, he found them gazing upon a soldier he did not know. A fresh faced Twi'lek boy he couldn't of been older than twenty. He was a tall young man, taller than K'eeva himself, he was even taller than Garron. For his size the young Twi'lek could not look any less intimidating, sure he was tall, had the build of a fighter and one of his lekku was cut in half. All of these things would an imposing figure make if the young man's face was not so filled with innocence.

"Hey, Twi'lek!" He called over to the young soldier waiting in the chow line, motioning for alien to come join him.

The Twi'lek sat down with his tray still empty, for that K'eeva was glad. The smell coming from the kitchen was one thing, he did not think he could bear it up close.

" 'S your name?" K'eeva asked.

"Corbin, sir." The Twi'lek responded with all the procedural respect one showed a superior. K'eeva had to fight back a laugh, no one and he meant no one had ever called him 'sir'.

"None of that, Corbin. I'm not anyone's sir." he told the young man.

"But you're a member of the ash guard, aren't you?"

He was in fact a member of the warden's personal guard, making him a rank above all the other soldiers who follwed the warden. Being superior never made K'eeva feel superior, though he knew many of the guard did. there were six of them always and of the six K'eeva was the only one not promoted from within Salvor Arnex's contingency of soldiers and the only who spent any real time with the rank and file like young Corbin here.

"I am." K'eeva told the young Twi'lek who was looking at him with a mixture of fear and reverence. "How old are you, Corbin?"

"I'm eighteen, sir."

eighteen and resigned to a mercenary's life and not just any mercenary life either. Salvor Arnex drove his men hard, as was his warrant as warden, and seldom gave vacations. Their's was not a life of dicking about going from one whorehouse to another, taking jobs just to fill their pockets, no they were every bit the combat unit they were in the shadow dynasty, the only difference was they were now the whores.

" Necro MineCore it is then ill go get ready let me know when we get there " Seden walked away going to his room. [member="Romeo Sin"] [member="Lady Kay"]

Romeo awaited for his little brother to exit the bridge before looking over at the First Mate Jenan, "Is Kay here?" Romeo asked. The man shook his head, but reported that she was on her way. "Fair enough. Get us near the planet, we'll take a dropship to the surface. Have the Drakons suit up. All companies." The man, Jenan, saluted and began to have the Regiment start getting ready for a exploration.

When the Ryuk hovered over the planet Necro Mincore, the scanning systems were going nuts, nothing could keep stable. "Are we in any danger First Mate?"

"No sir, but we will have troubles entering the planet. The large asteroid field that surrounds the planet seems to have some ore, or radiation that is preventing us from using our technology" Romeo shook his head as Jenan spoke on. "Where is Salvor?"

"He seems to not be here sir."

"So he lied to me? SEDEN GET ON THE BRIDGE!!"

Seden ran to the bridge " Whats happening Romeo are we under fire! " he said to Romeo [member="Romeo Sin"] [member="Salvor Arnex"] [member="Lady Kay"]

It wasn't long before the Free Lady arrived to [member="Romeo Sin"] 's ship. Late, but not too late. Captain Terrac asked for permission to dock and as they were expected, permission was granted.

Kay had her pilot stay behind while she was escorted to the bridge. She still had no clue as to why she was summoned here. It obviously wasn't for dinner. She adjusted the strap of her satchel and then hung back a bit when she saw Romeo and [member="Seden Sin"] . Afterall, she didn't want to interrupt.
