It's For Charity (Fabula)

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo the Hutt entered the small conference room and took up a spot at the table. He was here for a very simple, very specific reason: @[member="Fabula Cavataio"].

He had a pair of projects he needed to start and finish that she would be the lynchpin for. The first was his calendar. A calendar of her to act as a special edition. The other one was another special edition release of his: PlayHutt. He needed her in both and was willing to pay a hefty price for her to do both.

For now, though, he would wait for her to arrive.

Showing her face on public holovision was possibly the worst thing Fabula had ever done. Sure, the Tournament of the Cauldron had been fun, but it had also given her something she didn't want and had no idea how to deal with: publicity. She had gone from a nobody whom very few people were even aware existed to casual namedrop on Rattatak...and elsewhere. All she could do was hope it faded in time. A few months doing nothing in the Unknown Regions would probably clear that right up. That was her plan, too. Same as always. Run to the edges of space and do a fat load of nothing important for quite some time.

Instead, she was at the Wheel.

The last time Fabula had been to the Wheel, she'd managed to get herself recruited into a Jedi crusade, squander several months of her life, and fight a few Sith. This time seemed to be a bit less interesting to her. A Hutt who had watched her match had called her in for a "business opportunity." Rather than meditating in a snowstorm on Hoth, she was walking into a conference room on an underworld space station. Still, it had its potential. The last time she had been recruited for mercenary work with Rave Merrill, she'd had plenty of interesting things to do for a while. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

Naturally, when she came to the door of the room, she knocked. "Mister @[member="Popo"]?" To her surprise, the door opened. Fabula took a moment to wonder whether his name was the password or if the door just knew better, then she walked in regardless. "I'm not entirely sure why this couldn't be done through a holocall..."

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo nodded politely to the woman as she entered.

"Ah, Ms. Cavataio. A pleasure to meet you," he said politely. "I'm glad you could come on short notice. Put simply, I have a proposition for you that if you accept the offer, there would be some paperwork requiring signing. For now, though, go ahead and have a seat, please."

The huge Hutt gestured to a chair across from the table and waited for Fabula to get situated. When she was comfortable he brought up a holo display.

"Now, you may or may not know that I recently began printing a gentleman's magazine recently under the name PlayHutt. Lately we've been seeing a rise in demand for celebrities, persons of note, and well known individuals to appear in the magazine. Foremost among the individuals desired by our readers was, after the tournament, you, Ms. Cavataio."

Pictures of survey statistics and reviews floated in midair as Popo talked. Occasionally the images flipped to randomized pages of the magazine to use as references.

"Because you're in such high demand, I'm open to sign a one time contract for you to submit holos to Tenloss for PlayHutt Magazine with a price completely open to negotiation. I'd like to start, however, with a 100,000 credit signing bonus followed with another 100,000 credits upon the holos being submitted."
