OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: [ State why you are making this submission and what purpose it will fulfill in RP. ]
  • Image Credit: Crystal Matrix by Giorgio Grecu
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Sithspawn | Shards, Tsil, and Tsudakyr
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Itsu'Dvasi ("Chained Mind" in ur-Kittât), aka Mindcores
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Darth Prospero
  • Average Lifespan: 1000+ Galactic Standard Years; like the Shards from which they were made, the Itsu'Dvasi do not decay with age as an organic would, though neither are they immune to destruction by external forces such as erosion and, far more commonly, violence.
  • Estimated Population: Scattered
  • Description: [ Provide a short paragraph that describes this species at a glance. More in-depth descriptions can be added in distinctions below. ]
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: N/A
  • Average Height of Adults: 0.3-0.4 metres
  • Average Length of Adults: 0.1-0.2 metres
  • Skin Colour: Shades of blue, white, and purple are the norm, but others are not unheard of.
  • Hair Colour: Crystals don't normally grow hair and the Itsu'Dvasi are no exception.
  • Distinctions: [ Describe the unique physical traits that define what they are and set them apart from more common species like humans. Be sure to include any differences between male and female, as well as variations between different regional groups if any, and characteristics that denote a matured or ageing specimen. ]
  • Races: The Itsu'Dvasi are divided into three distinct races which are divided based on the shape of their crystalline structures and certain inherent qualities; amongst themselves, they are referred to via distinct telepathic sensations, the following is a very rough translation:
    • Partakers (Sharp): The so-called Partakers are defined by their sharp, often jagged, edges, lightning-quick reflexes, and ability to think on the fly. They are most likely to be controlling a droid body or even a starfighter, thus "partaking in the action", thus the name.
    • Prospectors (Square): If slow and steady wins the game, then the Prospectors are beyond compare; these squareish (see the second image) beings are typically exceedingly precise and unfailingly patient. True to their name, they are often found "digging" through databases in order to discover even the most tenuous of links - service as architects and factory supervisors are not uncommon either.
    • Prognosticators (Rounded): The rarest and most mysterious of the Itsu'Dvasi, the rounded forms of the Prognosticators (see the first image) are rarely seen by outsiders - while more creative and independently minded than the average Itsu'Dvasi, their most defining quality is that all of their kind are at the very least Force Attuned and a significant portion Force Sensitive; they are, however, quite rare.
    • Only two instead - fast & creative vs. patient & precise?
  • [ Not subspecies, distinct cultural or physical races (aka, just like human races). ] / Overmind-insp.? Rounded vs. Square? Pointy? Controllers react as quickly as a droid and are really clever, Prognosticators/Analysts are slow but thorough, great at using big data and the like.)
  • Force Sensitivity: Average; a not insignificant number of Itsu'Dvasi are attuned to the Force, usually manifesting as very mild prescience, but true Force Sensitives are rare - those that do exist rarely show an aptitude for anything beyond prescience and telepathy, though the rarest of the rare are able to learn the full scope of abilities available to a Sith or Jedi, most notably telekinesis - a useful ability, for the immobile.
Strengths:
  • Hyperintelligence: (What it says - really bloody smart. Subraces, Prognosticators vs. Controllers?)
  • Invisible Voices: Itsu'Dvasi are able to communicate and by extension interact with the world through an electromagnetic sense akin to that of the Shards and telepathy; the former functions much like a neural interface when paired with compatible technology and the latter allows them to speak to organics (albeit not Force Dead ones) within a reasonably short range, most commonly two to twenty metres.
  • Alien Biology: (Most poisons and chemical weapons do jack shit against inorganics; Mind Tricks are made complicated by this fact?)
Weaknesses:
  • Chunk of Crystal: Like any other chunk of crystal, Itsu'Dvasi are incapable of independent locomotion and fairly easy to intentionally shatter.
  • Familiar Minds: (Once you get past the odd biology, their minds work mostly the same as anyone else's. Can be trained to resist such effects just like anyone else, but has no natural resistance and cognitive functions are based on humanoids?)
CULTURE
  • Diet: Electrovore; (feeds on electricity!)
  • Communication: [ How do they communicate? A spoken language (if so, tell us which), through barks and yips, body language, telepathy, etc. ]
    • Tsil-like Telepathy, yay or nay? Communicate only with the Greys and FUs?
  • Technology Level: [ Describe their societal technology level if it differs from Galactic Standard. ]
  • Religion/Beliefs: [ If this species has a prominent religion or set of beliefs, describe them here. ]
  • General Behaviour: [ Describe general behaviors such as: family life, values, how they raise their young, how they find mates, how they interact with the world and other species around them. Do they hunt? Do they build? Are they inventors? Are they explorers? Are they nocturnal or diurnal? Do they attend schools? Etc, etc. ]
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus. ]
