Description: Designed to be the best infiltration unit of its day, the IU-1000 is right for any job. By means of top programming and designing, this unit can blend in to any environment, any situation, with ease.
A base skeleton of dense and durable beskar gives the unit survivability if its mission goes south. Pyronium wiring within the skeleton increases power output exponentially and decreases reaction and processing time. The unit functions far more efficiently than other droids by today's standards. The ability to attach different external components gives the unit the ability o disguise itself to look like a simple protocol droid or even a Super Battle Droid. There are a number of ways it can blend.
The class four droid brain used allows for situational awareness and adaptation to most any scenario. As the unit interacts, it learns, becomes even more capable to blend and mingle. There is a secondary brain housed in the torso, yet it is hidden within the chest cavity made of beskar. The memory banks and processors can be upgraded to store more and think quicker. Also hidden within the chest cavity is an encrypted transmitter that is capable of interplanetary communication. Beside the transmitter is a secondary storage bank and power supply in case of primary failure.
The body is built with multiple compartments to hide and house many useable items or weapons, although nothing bigger than a holdout blaster or a knife. It is capable of hacking most any console and disabling most any device if necessary. The program running the brain aids in audio and visual surveillance for possible tails, targets or recon.
Additional upgrades can be added for combat, diplomacy, or subterfuge. With the interchangeable nature of the unit, it is almost the perfect machine for sneaking into a group or organization and either gathering Intel, assassinations, or sabotage.
Bonus Feature: Due to the sensitive nature of the tasks it may perform, it is given the ability to wear sustainable SynthSkin, like a skin prosthetic to appear like any simple humanoid species it chooses. Facial markets may be attached to give facial structure and false identification can be produced to bluff a way into the organization if they favored organics to clankers. Prosthetic photoreceptors and synthetic ears, finger prints and cloned/engineered DNA are used in this to further the ruse.
