I've missed you old friend.

Her body was out of the seat before the ship entered the atmosphere. The ramp slid from down before the ship had even landed properly. Una had to jump from the last step to reach the floor. The thud of her heart against her rib cage was almost too much to handle. Excitement was making adrenaline course through her body. She turned around, just in time to catch her bag that flew toward her out of the open hatch. With a grunt, she slung it around her shoulder and ran from the space port toward the town. A few weeks earlier she had received a message to meet someone in Lianna. For some reason she couldn't help but feel the next few hours were going to be thrilling.

She got to the base of a large building that was being erected in the center of town. Placing a hand onto the cool wall she relished in the shade it provided. All the excitement was making her feel sick. But it was the most pleasant This was were she was supposed to meet him.

By all accounts he was a dead man, and It was true enough. He wouldn't be fighting any wars anytime soon and the "clone Commando" was doing his best to simply fade away. He had contacted one person. Someone from the past that had been good to him and that was to tell her he was still alive and ease any worry she may have had. He walked up to the spot and saw a woman standing there. She was early. He carried a small tool bag and a thick green cloth jacket on his arm as he began to walk up.

His heart beat faster as he looked at the woman and remembered her kind treatment of him. His face was slightly dirty as were his hands from hours of working in a factory for a fair wage, something he never would have had before. He walked up behind her in his muscle shirt and jeans and stared for a moment as her began to hear birds chirp in his ears.

"Una?" he said softly.

As if by magic, the beating of her heart stopped still in her chest. Everything felt stiff for a few moments. The silence would have been maddening if it weren't for the voice that now rung in her ears. She had heard it before, somewhere. Even without turning around the voice made her feel safe and wanted. Closing her eyes, she exhaled slowly and spun on her heel to face the mystery voice.

Her jaw almost dropped to the floor. She barely had any time to react before her body flew through the air and her arms settled around his neck. The jump was accompanied by a happy squeal and Una was almost squeezing too tight. It had been years since she had seen her friend Oryuken. Though she was under the assumption that he was dead! She had received the news not to long ago. Unable to prevent the tears streaming down her face, she buried her head into his neck. For the mean while, she refused to let him go. Familiar sensations began to return in her body. It felt like she was floating a million miles away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. They were the only ones there and she immersed herself in the moment. An attempt to speak to him would only end in inaudible squeaks so for the moment she remained that way, clung to his neck and sobbing softly into his skin.

He dropped his things to the ground as the woman ran to him and threw her arms around his neck. His big arms and hands wrapped her up in a warm embrace and he held her close for a long time as she sobbed softly against his neck. His heart was filled to the brim and he refused to let her go. He leaned his head against hers and rubbed his cheek against her. Her smell filled his senses and he held her thin body against his. A tear fell but whether of joy or sadness at having made her worry he wasn't sure.

"Ah missed ya Una." He said softly as he held her close, "ah em glad ya could make it."

He had never been good with words and being a soldier hadn't really help much but he knew feelings pretty good and he was feeling things he hadn't felt for a long time.

She gave him the biggest squeeze she could manage. He was still almost 3 times the size of her, just like she remembered. Being in his arms felt the same way too. She felt comforted and safe encircled in his muscles. The shock of seeing him here was still over whelming and it took her a fair few minutes of solid hugging before she finally managed to look at him. First she pressed her palms to his cheeks, then wrapped them around the back of his neck. It was almost like a dream. She had to keep reminding herself that this was real, that it was really his skin she could feel against hers. Her hazel eye sparkled from the tears that hadn't fallen yet, but she wiped away at them with her sleeve.

Her jaw hung open for a few minutes as she finally made contact with his eyes. They were just as she remembered, so full of confusion. "How can this be? You were dead..." She managed to choke out after a few more moments of silence.
