APPEARANCE:​

A small, delicate nose, plush lips and large dark eyes give Iwata a lovely, youthful appearance. With an almost waifish figure, Iwata would initially appear more suitable for a temple, court or theater. But her willowy figure conceals whipcord muscles wrapped tight around slender, strong bones able to wield the weighty weapons of the Jade Screamers. Her long hair is jet black, highlights of violet visible in certain light. Her light skin is marred in a few places by scars and a colorful tattoo of koi and flowers adorn her right shoulder and upper arm.

BIOGRAPHY:​

Born of a woman of the Horselords and fathered by an imperial envoy, Iwata was rejected by the Umanushi people and sent to be raised by her father and his wife. While cared for, there was little attention given to the unwanted child, and at the age of five Iwata was sent to preparatory school and then to Kansai's Western Academy for military training. She proved an excellent student, but rather strong-willed and often the butt of prejudice due to her Umanushi heritage. Her perseverence, excellent marks, affinity for animals, penchant for melee weapons and stubborn fearlessness made her a candidate for a mounted unit.

She was a young, fresh recruit when the One Sith invaded. The cavalry unit fought bravely, Iwata among them, but were hammered by the Sith forces and nearly obliterated. In shame, Iwata fled with a remnant of the mounted warriors to the colony on Shri-Tal, to become part of the military there and earn the name Jade Screamers. When the Galactic Alliance invaded Atrisia to dethrone Mythos, Iwatawas among those anxious to join the fight and rushed back to the Atrisian system to help dislodge the Sith. The Jade Screamers unit was rebuilt as part of the Royal Military and garrisoned at Lóngkou.
