Intent: To create personalised lightsabers for Izark Karesh.
Development Thread: Given in backstory when promoted to Lord pre-freeze. If necessary.
Manufacturer: (Backstory character) Darth Desolace
Model: Kyrat Dragon Fang Lightsabers
Affiliation: Izark Karesh
Modularity: Focusing Crystal, Power bank and color Crystal.
Production: Unique
Material: The hilts are made of a Durasteel shell with a weighted Phrik fist spike trigger and Kyrat Dragon fang pommel. The color crystals are a black Kyrat Dragon pearl.
Classification: Lightsaber
Size: Main and offhand
Length: Main hand off hand are 16cm hilts and 120cm fully extended.
Weight: (Both sabers) 3kgs due to the weighted fist spike and tox-dispenser in the handle of the weapon.
Special Features: The fang pommel of the saber is modified to have a tox-injector built in to simulate the venom which Kyrat Dragons inject from their fangs when they bite. The color of the blade is a pearlescent black color which reflects the color of the pearl inside while giving off a red glow due to the focusing crystal.
Strengths:
- The lightsaber acts as a focus for Izark's force abilities, allowing him to be more proficient in Ataru and Juyo form styles.
Weaknesses:
- The tox-dispenser is single dose and requires manual reloading once expended.
Description: Darth Desolace made these lightsabers for Izark when he was promoted to the rank of Lord. As Izark had trained with heavy training sabers for the majority of his apprenticeship these were made with that fact in mind. This allowed Izark to wield them with ease but made them hard for anyone else who attempted to wield them. Desolace always referred to Izark as his "Dragon" and as such the materials used in the manufacturing of these weapons of was reflected the ferocity and fearlessness that was the embodiment of the Kyrat dragon of tattooine. As a result, he installed a tox dispenser into the fang as well. A simple construction where by the wielder must stab the opponent. Then once the fang had penetrated and released the pressure lock, all the wielder had to do was simply clench their fist around the released trigger to dispense the poison*, which uses the natural venom channels already in the fangs to administer the venom. While Izark loves his blades, due to the nature of the blades and need to be up close to use them effectively, they require him to rely on more traditional forms of saber combat instead of Dun Moch like most Sith. When he first ignited the sabers for the first time, he was awe struck. The body of the blades seemed to dance inside of a red glow, as is dancing the dance of death with eager anticipation, as a result he named them Hate and Anguish; to represent the feelings of those who he slew with them. These are Izark's prized possessions and will never be seen with out them, or give them up willingly.
Primary Source: Not necessary.
(Combined the two into one application as they are identical twins.)
*(The construction of the mechanism that dispenses the Venom from the tox machine is the same as that of a real world nailgun. Where by the pressure plate has to be depressed in order for the nail to be fired. This is a safety measure to ensure that unwanted accidents did not occur during travel.)
