J.J. Abrams Teases 88 Second Star Wars Trailer - This Friday

The official Bad Robot Twitter account has confirmed Regal Entertainment Group's earlier accidental reveal that the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will be released this Friday:

The tweet confirms both the “select theaters” aspect of Regal’s earlier announcement, as well as the Friday release date. It also identifies the running time for the trailer: 88 seconds, clarifying that we should expect a teaser instead of a full trailer. Within moments of the tweet appearing on the @Bad_Robot account, it was retweeted by the official @StarWars account.

Abrams has previously used Bad Robot’s Twitter account to teaseDeath Star iconography and the Millennium Falcon’s chess table, making the social media network an unsurprising option for this news. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is, ultimately, a social media-friendly project; it’s title was announced via tweet from Walt Disney Pictures earlier this month.

If done right, this could be THE greatest teaser of the year and knock spots off 'The Phantom Menace'.

Can't wait to see it...!

It's not loading!

DON'T DO THIS TO ME, MAN!

EDIT:
Wow, that trailer was...

I guess it's a bit more action-focused than I expected. I'm going to remain carefully optimistic.

Just how REAL it all looks give me hope - the effects are super already, and it looks gritty, real and like a war film. I have high hopes and pray it's all going to come together.

Really gave me chills however. This looked like a Star Wars film, not a fan-film the trailers for the prequels often looked like, cramming so many visuals in.
