BIOGRAPHY:

Jaa Ardan was born to Bast Ardan, an Ace Corellian X-wing pilot and Jamele Ardan, an educator. For the first six years of Jaa’s life he lived in Corellia with his parents and his twin sisters who were three years younger than him. When Jaa was six, Bast was taken into service by Baros Sal-Soren, a Corellian who had risen high in the court of Naboo’s Queen.

Jaa and his father came to Naboo ahead of his mother and siblings. They met Baros’ family including his children who were still toddlers, a year younger than his own sisters.

It was okay to be friendly with these people but they are not your friends. Do not forget your place.

Tragedy struck when the transport carrying Jamele Ardan and her young children was destroyed in a brazen attack. The transport had been targeted due to the presence of a Jedi on board.

The loss of his wife and twin daughters left Bast a broken man who turned to the bottle in his grief. Jaa was not yet seven years old. The staff of the Sal-Soren estate and even the Sal-Sorens themselves did what they could for the grieving boy.

Growing up Jaa and his father lived on small farm in the rural parts of Naboo, traveling to the Sal-Soren estate when it was necessary for Bast to do his job as security for the family. Jaa grew up near the Sal-Soren children but never with them. too much older to be interested in them and too low of station to be noticed by them, Jaa grew up with a reputation as a trouble maker, and was happy to be away from the estate as often as was possible.

At fourteen Jaa had an incident involving Baros eldest son that left both boys bleeding. Bast had not taken that well and punished his son quite severely afterwards.

Everything we have we owe to these people. Without them we’d be back on Corellia and you could spend your life working to build ship parts and praying you came home each day with all your limbs.

At sixteen Jaa joined the Royal Security Force academy where for two he excelled in his training and at earning the ire of his superiors. Jaa learned how to fight, how to shoot, and how to fly but he never learned how to stay out of his own way.
Disciplinary report after disciplinary report mounted on top of each other until the day that Jaa assaulted one of his CO’s putting the man in hospital. Jaa spent a year in lock up after being dishonorably discharged before leaving Naboo all together.

Nineteen and directionless, Jaa left Naboo and became a mercenary, joining a crew called “The Bloody Bastards.”

Two and half years as a Bastard left Jaa with an understanding of warfare that the academy never did. It also left him with numerous underworld contacts.

In his time away from Naboo, Jaa was introduced to The New Way, a group of revolutionaries espousing a philosophy of empowerment for those members of the galaxy not randomly bestowed with a concentration of microorganisms. The New Way also brought him back to Naboo and back to the Sal-Sorens.

Jaa now in his mid-twenties, was a valuable asset for The New Way and now, like his father worked as security for Baros Sal-Soren’s family, namely as the personal guard for Blaire Sal-Soren. The razing of Naboo left Jaa without a home and without his father who lost his life in defense of his patron Baros Sal-Soren.
